Before you make a toy from salt dough, you need to prepare the dough itself. To prepare the dough, use fine table salt, regular wheat flour and water in a ratio of 2:4:2, respectively. First, mix flour and salt, and then add warm water, kneading the dough thoroughly for at least 10 minutes.

There is another recipe for making dough. In this case, take flour and salt in the same proportions, only the flour is pre-sifted. You need to take a little less than 1 1/3 cups of water. The cooking method will vary. According to this recipe, water must be brought to a boil and salt dissolved in it. Only then is flour added.

When the dough is ready, start making crafts. If you are making crafts with your child, simplify the task by using cookie cutters, for example, in the shape of Christmas trees or bunnies - you will get wonderful Christmas tree decorations. Make a toy (you can use beads or seed beads for decoration), don’t forget to make a hole at the top. To harden the toy, it is left for 24 hours or baked in the oven. Making such a snowflake is very easy and quick, so you can start working with your children.

To make a snowflake we will need:

• white knitting thread;
• 6 transparent beads;
• scissors;
• needle;
• school notebook or book.

It is not necessary to make such a snowflake from white yarn. You can take a thread of any color. The size of the finished snowflake will depend on the object on which we will wind the thread. You can take a general notebook or book and wind a white thread. The thicker we wind it, the larger and thicker the snowflake will be. But you don’t need to wind a lot, because in this case the pattern of the finished product will be difficult to see.

Then carefully remove the workpiece and pull it in the center with a thread of the same color, tying 2 tight knots. That is, we grab both sides of the resulting ring and tie a knot.

Now use scissors to cut from both edges. We tighten them well with the blades of scissors so that the threads are then approximately the same length.

Turn the workpiece over and distribute the threads approximately equally. We need to see the center of the workpiece. We do this on both sides, forming a circle of threads. In this position, place the workpiece on a hard surface.

We divide the threads into 6 approximately equal parts. There is no need to count each thread, just distribute it in bunches by eye.

Now, stepping back a little from the center, we pull the bundle with thread.

We tie the bundle again. We do this with each bunch.

Now all we have to do is trim the tassels. We cut them with scissors.

Today we invite you to consider a simple master class and answer the question: how to make a New Year's craft from a plastic cup? Of course, other available materials will be used in the work. But! The decoration will still be based on a yogurt cup.

So, for the craft you will need:

• cotton wool;
• tinsel;
• a plastic cup;
• sequins;
• satin ribbon or thread;
• glue;
• scissors.

At the first stage, the children cannot cope on their own. You will have to turn to adults for help. You need to make two neat holes in the plastic cup. In a second, dad will pierce even holes with an awl, through which we will stretch a satin ribbon - the handle of the future flower basket.

Secure the ends of the tape with small knots.

Now let's take a piece of snow-white cotton wool and put it in the basket. Of course, any other filler can be used for this purpose. However, we associate cotton wool with snow and the New Year. Moreover, it is incredibly light, and therefore will not weigh down the craft at all.

Let's cut off several short pieces from the tinsel and imitate the greenery in the basket.

It’s time to coat each sequin with glue and place a fiery bouquet on the surface of the cotton wool.

1. Take two sheets: one yellow, the second a contrasting color, for example, purple. Cut out two rectangles. Yellow – size 100x180, purple – 120x180 (in millimeters).
2. Take a yellow rectangle and glue its edges into a tube shape. Next, set it aside and proceed to the purple part. Fold the sheet in half and make cuts with scissors, leaving space around the edges. We also glue it in the shape of a tube, like a yellow sheet of paper or cardboard. The photo shows how to make a red flashlight. The sequence of actions is similar.
3. If you cut everything out carefully, the yellow tube should fit into the purple one. However, it must not be pushed in all the way. Its edge needs to be greased with glue, and only then the resulting yellow flashlight must be inserted completely into the purple tube. The same must be done on the other side. Pull the purple part up slightly to release the yellow part. Cover it with glue. This will fix the yellow leaf in the purple.
4. To make the flashlight more realistic, you should make a handle. To do this, cut out a narrow strip from purple paper or cardboard and glue it to the lantern.
5. Your magic lantern is ready. This is one of the simplest crafts, even a child can do it.

3D paper star

Another popular toy on the New Year tree for 2017 is a star. Rarely does a Christmas tree survive without it. This toy is both effective and easy to make. To do this, you will need the same materials as when making the previous decoration. All that remains is to add the thread. Read the master class or watch the video.

• You need to cut out two 10x10 squares from colored paper. You can use your imagination to the fullest: your stars don’t have to be yellow. Use purple, red, blue, pink colors! And your Christmas tree will sparkle with different colors.
• Fold a piece of colored paper twice in half, and then fold it twice diagonally.
• Make small cuts on the edges of the paper and fold them into the corners (as shown in the photo).

• Glue the corners in the center, leaving the rest of them free (this will give the future star volume). You should get some kind of rays.

Advice! Hold the corners while gluing with your finger. This way they will stick together better.

• Repeat the procedure described above with the second sheet of colored paper.
• Glue the two halves of the star into one. Don't forget to put the edge of the ribbon between them, with which you will hang the star on the tree.
• Give the star time to dry. This will take about 20 minutes.
