Glue the satin ribbons to the bottom of the card using PVA glue. Apply glue to the back side of the tape and distribute well over the surface.

Measure the lace to the width of the background (photo 23). Machine stitching will not only perform a decorative function, but will also secure the lace at the edges (photo 25). Glue the tree and the inscription to the background using double-sided tape (photo 26-27).

My favorite holiday is approaching New Year, and I decided to make gifts for my loved ones.
And I decided to start with postcards.
It's not at all difficult and fast. But the result is cute and unique postcards, in which the warmth of your hands and soul is preserved.

We will need:

Basically, I didn’t use anything complicated or hard to find that couldn’t be bought in regular stores. Any sewing lover must have all this. This:

• sequins,
• braid,
• pieces fabrics(I used felt)
• trimmings of beautiful wallpaper,
• paper,
• glue,
• scotch.

I note that we need tape double-sided and it is advisable to take paper not ordinary for drawing, but for watercolor. It has a beautiful texture.

It’s even better to use designer cardboard.

I had this paper for watercolors. It's great if you have the opportunity to buy colored ones. But I only had white.

So we take the paper, fold it in half and decide on the dimensions. The easiest option, of course, is to take a standard A4 and fold it in half, in which case you don’t have to cut anything.

New Year card with star

Let's start with the simpler option. This is an option postcards with braid and star.
Have to take braid, whichever one you have at home. I had a green one, the color of a Christmas tree, maybe you will have a gold one. In general, I associate the New Year with these colors, the color of spruce and the color of champagne.

Let's take it braid, carefully bend its edges, grease it with glue and glue it to the workpiece. I used Master-Universal glue because I was afraid that the PVA would soak the paper and, so to speak, lead it (the workpiece would become uneven and lumpy). Glue the tape carefully so that the glue is not visible.

Now we need to do star. For this I used scraps of gold-colored wallpaper.
Cut out a small square and simply draw a star on the back side. Which one do you know?

Cut it out. It turns out like this Golden Star.
For my star, I need to cut out two more small squares from other wallpaper.

Glue everything together.

To do something else decorate the card, I decided to use sequins. For this we need double-sided tape. We simply cut the tape into small pieces so that they do not go beyond the boundaries of the sequins and glue them in a chaotic manner.

That's it, this one the postcard is ready.

New Year card with felt Christmas tree

Let's take another paper one blank postcard. For it we need a piece of green felt. Why felt? Of course, because its edges do not crumble when working, you can cut it however you like, and it will look neat. In general, fleece, felt, felt - all these are very useful materials for working in any field of needlework.

So, cut out a right triangle from a piece of felt. Its size, of course, depends on the size of your postcard.

Cut it out. Turn it over and draw on the reverse side curls. Just as the hand takes it. We draw with chalk or a marker, or as cutters have done since time immemorial, with a piece of soap.

Take nail scissors and carefully cut out these curls. You can also use a paper knife or a special craft scalpel.

We glue our unusual Christmas tree to paper blank postcards self made . We use the same glue as in the previous version. For the same reason, so that the paper does not move.

Next we will need again sequins and double-sided tape for gluing them. I found some very funny stars.

Double-sided tape comes in different forms: very thin and thicker, which has a layer between the adhesive layers. Thin double-sided tape is convenient to use for gluing paper elements; unlike glue, it will not come out beyond the borders, it turns out very neatly. Thick tape is needed in cases where you need to glue an element and create an effect volumetric figure. It looks as if the figure is “hanging” in the air.

In this case, I used thick tape. I actually bought it at a hardware store and was intended for repair work.

I’m sure that all these things: tape, various designer papers, decorative elements can be bought in scrapbooking departments, but in my works I always try to use materials that can be bought almost everywhere. After all, stores, in this case with goods for scrapbooking, are not located in every town in our country.

Let's continue.

Glue it stars with tape.

The photo shows what I said above, that the stars seem to hang in the air, casting a shadow.

Now our Christmas tree needs star. To do this, we again need scraps of gold wallpaper, as in the previous version of the handmade postcard. We measure the size of the star we need, draw and cut it out.

Because herringbone we have half, then star will also have to be trimmed. We glued it in the same way, with thick tape, for a volume effect.

To make it even bigger emphasis on the star and to make it more voluminous, I used eye shadow. Just cotton swab applied green eyeshadow with gold glitter along the outline of the star

Well, in order to finalize the borders of the postcard, I used golden corners. I just drew them helium pen with “golden” paste, which can be found in almost any girl’s school pencil case.

That's all. Both ours postcards are ready. Now all that remains is to sign them, and you can give them as a gift.

The main thing is to put your soul into the cards and then everything will definitely work out.

Firstly, you can simply randomly draw different Christmas trees, decorate them with pencils and the card is ready. This is the simplest way, although very funny.

If you are a bad artist, you can simply print out the pictures you like and redraw them on your postcard. All that remains is to decorate with sparkles or satin ribbon.

A fabric Christmas tree on your card can be decorated with regular buttons. Choose the color and size you like and stick it on. If you want the buttons to be sewn on, do this before gluing on the Christmas tree. The edges of the card can be decorated with satin ribbon or simply decorated with gouache.

Use fabric for your cards. There are fabrics already on sale, all you have to do is cut them out and glue them onto paper. Or take some green fabric and create your own tree. It may be of non-standard shape.

If you are planning to make an applique postcard, then there is limitless scope for your imagination. For decoration you can use plain colored paper, foil, velvet paper. Just cut out any figures with your children: Christmas trees, snowmen, snowflakes, animals, then glue them onto the postcard template with glue. Small parts can be glued with a toothpick so as not to smear the entire card with glue, or you can use double-sided tape for gluing. You can cut out a Christmas tree from cardboard and glue it to the card using double-sided tape. The postcard will appear larger.

Well, the little ones will love sticking cut-out figures from adhesive colored paper, or you can use ready-made stickers. To decorate your cards, use glitter, sequins, and shiny colored braid. To create a snow effect on a pasted Christmas tree, spread thick glue on its edges and sprinkle with a thick layer of semolina, turn the card over, lightly tap its edge on the table and shake off the residue.

Postcards made using woolen threads turn out very beautifully. Draw any design on the template, for example, a snowman. Colored wool threads cut into small pieces. Thickly coat small areas of the card with glue and place threads on top: make the face white, the hat and scarf red or blue. Well, on top of the finished picture, glue paper or cut-out parts from fabric: nose, eyes, mouth. Sprinkle glitter or glue snowflakes around the design. Nowadays, among the many children's toys in stores, hole punchers with special drawings: snowflakes, stars, flowers; They are very convenient to use when designing homemade cards.

Postcards with folding chains inside look very nice. To create them, you need to fold a sheet of paper in half, and then fold each half in half again. On the resulting folded accordion, draw and cut out any design: again, a Christmas tree, a snowman, Santa Claus, the Snow Maiden. You must be careful not to cut the places where the drawings touch. Then unfold the resulting chain and decorate it. Decorate and label the inside of the finished cardboard template. Attach the finished chain to the postcard template so that the folds coincide, glue the outer drawings. When you fold the postcard, bend the middle fold of the chain towards you so that when you open the postcard, the figures fit into the chain.

Children love postcards with windows. They're pretty easy to make. Cut out several square windows on an already prepared cardboard template. And on the inside, glue various drawings on New Year theme so that they can be seen through the windows when closing the postcard. Moreover, the drawings can be with a surprise, such that only part of the picture will be visible in the window, but when opened, the whole picture will appear along with wishes.

You can also create postcards with prints. To do this, cut out a Christmas tree blank from a foam rubber sponge, prepare green paint, dip the foam rubber in it and print the design on the finished cardboard template. Moreover, the force of pressing on the foam rubber can be different, thereby you will achieve the effect of uneven coverage. Well, decorate again to your taste.

Well, if you want to make a riddle card so that your loved ones will work a little before reading it, make it in the form of a puzzle. To make it you will need:

Green velvet paper, green cardboard, blue cardboard, white sheet, colored paper, scissors, glue, hole punch.

Method of making a postcard:

• Draw a template of a triangular Christmas tree on white paper, cut it into 5 identical strips.
• Using the resulting trapezoidal patterns, transfer them onto colored green cardboard and green velvet paper.
• Make uneven edges (wavy) for the finished Christmas tree elements.
• Using a hole punch, make several holes in the tree and glue multi-colored pieces of colored paper on the back side - these will be balls.
• Place all the elements on blue cardboard (background) New Year's applique and glue it.

New Year's card

• Cut out a TREE with curly scissors from green felt with glitter. The height of the tree is 12cm, the maximum width is 8cm.
• Glue the green felt tree to the inside right side of the card.
• Cut from a sheet of paper Green colour rectangle 9cm wide, 14cm long.
• Glue the resulting rectangle onto the inside left side of the postcard.
• Chaotically stick rhinestones of different colors and sizes onto a green felt Christmas tree.
• Glue 5 snowflakes onto the green felt tree between the rhinestones. Glue 4 snowflakes onto the green rectangle on the inside left side of the card. Glue 4 snowflakes around the rectangular hole on the outside of the card.
• Glue 3 stars between the snowflakes around the rectangular hole on the outside of the card. Glue 2 stars onto the green rectangle on the inside left side of the card.
• Glue the ball and small stars onto the green felt tree. Glue the gift onto the green rectangle on the inside left side of the card.
• Write the inscription “HAPPY NEW YEAR!” on the outside of the card above the rectangular hole and “2007” below the rectangular hole, using a tube of Paper Effects with gold paint.
