Knitted hat for women, tricolor. Knitted hats patterns for women

Knitted accessories: hats, scarves, mittens are very popular among both adults and very young people. Each handmade product is unique and inimitable.

To knit a beautiful women's hat with your own hands you will need not only a knitting pattern and step-by-step instructions describing the process, but also:

  • natural wool yarn with the addition of acrylic;
  • large diameter knitting needles;
  • selected interesting patterns.

Before you start making a knitted women's hat with knitting needles, it is recommended to decide on the style, select a description of the model and correctly select all the material that will be required for knitting a warm accessory. Recommendations for the selection of material.

Yarn selection

There are 3 types of yarn:

You should take into account what time of year the hat will decorate and warm its owner:

  • for lighter and summer options, it is better to select thin yarn with the addition of cotton or linen threads;
  • for winter cold you will need bulky yarn with added wool.

To make warm hats you will also need lining fabric, for example, fleece, which will also help keep the shape of the hat.

Knitting needle selection

Knitting needles are made from a variety of materials: plastic, metal, bamboo. They come in three types: straight knitting needles with a limiter on one edge, circular knitting needles connected to each other, for example, with fishing line or wire, hosiery knitting needles - there are five knitting needles in a set.

The size of the knitting needles depends on the thickness of the thread and the knitting density. It is recommended to take them twice as thick as the thread used; if the knitting is loose, then it is necessary to use smaller knitting needles; for tight knitting, larger ones. The characteristics of the yarn are indicated on the labels, which indicate the length of the skein and its weight. The smaller the meter of yarn in a skein per hundred grams of its weight, the thicker the thread.

When using circular knitting needles, you will need a knitting marker and a needle or hook for sewing the hat fabric together when knitting on straight knitting needles.

Beginners are recommended to use straight knitting needles with stoppers at the ends when knitting a women's hat.

Selection of hat knitting patterns

If desired, any novice craftsman can make a knitted women's hat. With a description this process will be easier and faster. There are a large number of different patterns for knitting women's hats, both the simplest and the most complex. Knitting hats starts from the bottom up, mostly with a simple 1×1 or 2×2 rib.

Experienced craftsmen advise knitting a 2×2 rib, that is, repeating two knit stitches and two purl stitches until the row is completed. The row begins and ends with the so-called edge loop: the first loop is not knitted, it is simply thrown from one knitting needle to another, and the last one is always knitted purlwise.

This is done so that when knitting the edges of the fabric do not stretch. The second and subsequent rows are knitted similarly to the first. The number of rows of elastic depends on its height; at the request of the master, it can be either one or five cm. Basically, elastic is necessary to give a more beautiful look to the hat and more tight fit her to the head.

After knitting the elastic, without breaking the thread, you need to move on to the selected pattern; you can continue knitting the entire hat with this elastic. For novice craftsmen, more experienced needlewomen recommend using simpler patterns for knitting hats with knitting needles.

These include:

  • Garter stitch. This method got its name due to the fact that it was used when knitting down scarves. There are two types of garter stitch: knit stitch, in which only knit stitches are knitted, and purl stitch, in which only purl loops are knitted. Such patterns can be used for regular knitting on straight needles. The method of knitting hats on circular knitting needles is distinguished by alternating front and back rows. The transition point from one row to another should be chosen in a less noticeable place, for example, at the back or side, as it will be slightly noticeable.
  • Knit or purl stitch– in normal knitting with turning rows, the 1st row and all odd numbered ones are knitted only with knit stitches, the 2nd and all even numbered rows are knitted with purl stitches; When knitting on circular needles, you always knit either only knit stitches or only purl stitches.
  • Relief drawings– for example, the so-called “rice”. Alternating purl and knit stitches 1×1 is performed so that in the second row, a purl stitch is knitted above the knit stitch of the first row, and a knit stitch is knitted above the purl stitch. Then the first two rows are repeated to the height required by the master.
  • Various braids. This pattern is more recommended for experienced craftsmen, but if desired, a novice master can also do it. When knitting a women's hat using knitting needles according to the “braid” pattern with the description, you will need an additional third knitting needle.

Taking measurements from the head for knitting a hat

Before starting knitting, the craftsman needs to take measurements from the head of the person who will own the hat.

First measurement– head circumference, this is the main size of the future hat. This measurement is taken around the head: along the forehead at the level of the eyebrow line and along the protruding occipital part at the back.

Second measure– this is the depth of the cap. It is also removed from the eyebrow line to the end of the hair growth line at the back of the head, then this size must be divided in half. When taking the second measurement, you also need to take into account the features of the future hat.

After taking measurements, you need to determine the number of loops needed to knit a hat.

To do this, experienced knitters recommend knitting a small sample. For a more accurate result, it needs to be washed and dried, since most hand-knitted items may become deformed after washing. Then measure the sample with a ruler. Based on the result, calculate how many loops are needed for the entire headdress.

Choosing a knitting technique

For beginner knitters, more experienced craftsmen It is advised to knit your first hat on straight knitting needles, in one piece and then stitch it along the narrow edge. Knitting can be started either from the bottom up or vice versa from the top down. There are also techniques for knitting hats on circular and stocking needles in the round in closed rows. With this method of knitting there will be no seam.

Experienced needlewomen knit more complex hats using patterns.

Instructions for knitting simple women's hats for beginners

Any woman who wishes will be able to knit a hat for herself or her loved ones, having a diagram with a description at hand, since modern fashion allows you to wear the simplest and most ordinary hats, made with simple designs.

A simple knitted hat for beginners

To create a simple women's hat with your own hands, you will need a 100 g skein of yarn. composition 50/50 wool, acrylic (thread length in a skein is 240 m), straight knitting needles size 4.5, sewing needle with a large eye. The hat will be knitted with a simple 2×2 rib. To determine the number of loops you need to cast on, it is recommended to knit a test sample.

The length of the knitted fabric will correspond to the head circumference minus 4 cm, and the height will correspond to the depth of the hat. Upon reaching the desired size, you need to take a stitching needle and thread and remove all the loops from the knitting needle onto this thread, pull all the loops, thus creating the crown of the hat. Then all that remains is to sew the edges of the hat. The knitted hat is ready.

Voluminous women's hat with knitted braids for beginners

A women's knitted hat with a description can be made with or without a pompom.

A voluminous knitted women's hat with knitting needles with a description according to the “Braid” pattern will appeal to novice craftsmen. They will be able to knit it by studying in detail the recommendations for its creation. For a hat with braids, you will need two skeins of thick yarn, circular knitting needles No. 3.5 and No. 4.5.

On circular needles size 3.5 you will need to cast on a number of stitches that will be a multiple of 12, plus one additional stitch. It is needed to close the knitting in a circle. For a beautiful knitting connection in the round, transfer the first loop from the left knitting needle to the right one, then lower the last loop through this loop from the right knitting needle and return the first loop removed from the left knitting needle back.

It is recommended to start knitting a hat with a simple 2×2 elastic band, which is recommended to be done to a height of 5 – 7cm. In the last row you need to switch to needles No. 4.5. Proceed to knitting a headdress according to the basic pattern: knit 2 purl stitches, 6 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches and 2 knit stitches, perform throughout the row. Repeat the pattern for another 6 – 8 rows.

Start forming the “braid”. Throughout the entire row, alternate the combination of stitches: purl 2, knit the next 3 on an additional knitting needle or pin, knit the other 3, then knit 3 stitches from the third needle, then knit 2 and purl 2 stitches.

Complete the pattern to a height of 12 cm, then proceed to decreasing the stitches. The first row must be decreased every 3 stitches, the second row must be knitted without decreases, the third row must be decreased every second stitch of the row, the next row must be decreased without decreases, and finally pull off all the remaining loops by threading a sewing needle and thread through them.

Such a hat can be decorated with a ready-made fur pom-pom or you can make it yourself from threads.

To do this you will need yarn, the same color as the hat or contrasting with it, scissors, a sewing needle and two cardboard blanks. It is better to take cardboard for the workpiece of medium hardness.

Using a compass, draw a circle with a radius of 1.5 cm on a cardboard sheet, then from the same cent, for a pompom with a diameter of 10 cm, draw another large circle with a radius of 6.5 cm.

Cut along the contour of the outer diameter and inner hole. Make a cut between the circles 2-3 mm wide. Make the second workpiece in the same way.

Place the two blanks together and pass a thread between them, which will subsequently be used to tighten the finished pom-pom.

Wind the thread tightly around the folded pieces so that the hole is halved.

Next, holding the middle of the prepared pompom with your hand, cut the wound threads along the larger diameter of the workpiece. Tighten the thread that was laid between the two blanks and tie a knot tightly so that the threads do not come out of the pompom. Pull out the workpieces. The pompom is ready. Sew it to the top of the hat.

Knitted women's hat for beginners. Master Class

To make a knitted women's hat you will need a skein of yarn of 100 g, 150 - 200 m in length, composition 50/50, straight knitting needles size 3, and a sewing needle with a large eye.

Description of knitting

The hat model is knitted on two straight knitting needles in rotating rows with two types of patterns: 2×2 elastic (two knit and two purl stitches are alternated) and the main pattern (Polish pattern). The latter is performed as follows: the edge loop is removed, then the front and back loops are alternated one at a time.

Finish knitting the row with an edge loop. It's always on the wrong side. The pattern is offset due to an odd number of loops. Before you start knitting a hat, craftsmen recommend making a sample of the product - the main pattern. Based on the size of the sample, the number of loops required for the entire hat is determined. It must be even in order to do so.

The height of the elastic band of the future hat is 6–7 cm.

Having finished knitting the elastic, go to the main pattern: you need to cast on one additional loop or more on the knitting needles, the main condition: their number should be odd and it will depend on the desire of the master or the one for whom this hat is knitted, to get a tighter or looser model.

Next comes the main drawing. Its height will also depend on the desire to wear a more fitted or voluminous hat. So for a tight-fitting hat it will be enough to knit 10-11 cm of the main pattern, and for a looser one - 16-17 cm with a Polish pattern.

Then the loops are decreased and the crown of the hat is formed. In the first row you need to decrease every third stitch, knit the next row without changes. The third row - every second loop is decreased, the fourth - no changes. The fifth row is knitted exclusively with knit stitches, the sixth - with purl stitches. Pull the remaining loops and thread. Sew a side seam.

The hat is ready. If desired, it can be decorated with a flower, brooch or beads.

Cast on 20 stitches on size 6 straight needles. The “braid” is knitted in turning rows. The first row is front.

In the 1st row it is necessary to alternate: 4 purl stitches, 12 knit stitches and 4 purl stitches. Turn the work over. 2nd row is the opposite - 4 knit stitches, 12 purl loops and 4 knit stitches. Repeat the first two rows once.

From the 5th row - start knitting a three-strip braid. Place the other three stitches on an additional needle before knitting.

Knit three more stitches, return to the thrown stitches, knit them. The row ends with 4 purl stitches. The 6th row is knitted similarly to the 2nd. In the 7th - 10th, repeat the first two rows twice. Repeat the 1st – 10th rows until the required hat size is achieved. Finish knitting, bind off the loops.

The bottom side of the hat is done as follows:

  1. On one long edge of the strip, on knitting needles No. 5, cast on loops from the front side, approximately 1 loop is equal to two rows of the braid.

The first two rows must be done in stockinette stitch.

In the 3rd row - the first 2 loops must be thrown onto an additional third needle at the back of the work, the 2 loops following them must be knitted, then the 2 thrown loops must be knitted. 2 more loops must be transferred to an additional knitting needle in front of the work, knit the 2 loops following them on the knitting needle and 2 removed loops. The repeat of 8 loops is completed. It must be repeated until the row is completed.

Next, following the same pattern, we simultaneously make 5 additions each time from the front side (the addition is a yarn over to itself, which is knitted from the wrong side with a front loop behind the back wall).
  3. When there are 11 purl loops in each track, and 6 along the edges (with the exception of edge stitches), no more additions should be made. There should be 68 loops on the knitting needle (42 cm), 16 cm high.
  4. Next, 5-6 cm are knitted evenly and a gradual decrease begins: in each front row 5 times, 2 are knitted together purlwise (similar to increases). You need to shorten the loops until there are 18 loops on the knitting needle again. The loops are divided in half and tied separately: each half of the rim is 28-29 cm long, then placed crosswise. The ends are sewn together, the headband is sewn on.

We cast on 6 loops and begin to make a garter stitch pattern, adding 6 times along both edges every two rows along the loop. Then we knit the next 14 rows straight. In the event that we add large quantity loops, the eye will be much wider, and a larger number of rows will affect its length.

After two identical ears are knitted, you can proceed to the hat itself.

Description of work (earflap hat):

  1. Now we need to assemble everything into one product: we type on long knitting needle loops alternately from the ears and new ones for knitting the front and back of the headdress. Note! At first, the back of the earflaps will slowly expand, and eventually will be formed from two parts, fastened with a mattress seam.
  2. Next, you need to add 1 loop, knit the front loops of one eyelet and cast on another 20 loops for the front of the hat, knitting the second eyelet and casting on 1 loop. Add stitches to widen the back side every other row on both sides once with 2 stitches and once with 3 stitches (this will make 8 rows and will be the full width of the hat). In order to regulate it, you can add more loops during knitting.
  3. In total you need to knit about 16 rows, which will ultimately make up the height of the hat before tapering towards the crown. The reduction must be performed as follows: 1 chrome. loop, 5 knit, 2 loops with a slant to the right, 2 knit, 2 loops with a slant to the left, 5 knit, 1 chrome. You need to decrease the loops three more times every couple of rows, and pull off the remaining loops after two rows. The hat is sewn at the back using a mattress stitch.
  4. For the front lapel, you need to cast on 20 loops along the edge and knit in garter stitch to the required height, then close all the loops, and attach the lapel in the desired way. For braids, we cut 18 meter-long threads, which need to be folded in half and threaded through the bottom of the ears, and then braided into braids.

DIY beanie hat, diagrams

Beanie hat - classic, containing latest trends fashion accessory. Being one of the most popular models of the 2018-2019 season, this comfortable and very warm item has occupied a strong niche among the fair sex: it can ideally complement both a fur coat and a sports down jacket.

The classic version of the beanie hat is similar to an elongated cap or stocking, and is made with both simple types of knitting: elastic, stocking, scarf, and complex patterns. If you are new to needlework and don’t know how to knit a hat with beanie knitting needles for a woman, then you should pay attention to the following knitting pattern with a detailed description. Key point before work - right choice colors,

A headdress knitted with garter stitch is the simplest and most understandable for beginner needlewomen.

Necessary materials:

  • dense wool blend yarn 100m/100g;
  • knitting needles No. 5;
  • needle with wide ear;
  • scissors.

Description of work:

We cast on 50 loops with an auxiliary thread on knitting needles No. 5 and knit 2 rows. Next, we cut off the thread, at the end we will unravel it, knit a couple of whole rows again and start knitting shortened ones (this is necessary to round the crown).

The diagram looks like this:

  1. We remove the first loop (edge) and knit the entire row from the beginning to the crown, leaving the remaining 6 loops.
  2. Now you need to turn the knitting and continue in the opposite direction so that a hole does not form at the turning point. To do this, we twist a loop out of the six remaining poles.
  3. We transfer the loop from the left knitting needle to the right, leaving the working thread below under the left knitting needle.
  4. We throw the working thread so that it is above the left knitting needle.
  5. We return the removed loop back - we get an entwined one.
  6. Turn the knitting back. Without touching the resulting loop, we knit a row from the top to the beginning. We knit the last loop knit or purl. The first shortened row is ready.
  7. In the next row we wrap the fifth loop in the same way, then the fourth and so on. A total of six loops are obtained, which subsequently form a wedge of 12 rows, tapering towards the crown.
  8. We knit the second wedge and all subsequent ones exactly like the first. A total of 12 wedges are required.
  9. When unstretched, the diameter of the cap is about 54 cm, height - 30 cm.

Important! To ensure that the edge of the headdress, which will encircle the oval of the face, does not stretch and does not require crocheting, you should knit the edge and last loops as tightly as possible.

The beanie hat is ready, all that remains is to sew it. To do this, unravel the auxiliary thread and sew the open loops together using a loop-to-loop stitch. You can do this either with a closed edge or with a regular seam. Knitting a beanie hat is not difficult, especially if you strictly follow the pattern and be careful.

How to knit a fashionable hat

Once you have learned how to knit simple hats, you can move on to more complex patterns. In 2018, the following models will be relevant: a voluminous hat, a hat with earflaps, a beanie (also called a stocking cap, a sock, a cap), a turban, a hood (or a helmet hat), a model with a visor, a hat with a pompom, a double a mischievous hat with ears, a regular one with a lapel, a snood hat (or a hooded hat).

Fashionable voluminous hat made of large yarn

Universal size 53-54 cm.

Necessary:

  • thick yarn 200 g
  • circular knitting needles 10 mm, length 40 cm
  • stitch marker
  • thick knitting needle

Description:

Cast on 32 loops. Place a marker at the beginning of the row and join into a circle.
Knit with an elastic band as follows: *k2, p2; repeat from * to the end.
Work 14 more circular rows and decrease 2 stitches evenly, knitting 2 knits together in the last rib circle = 30 stitches.
Next, knit 12 circular rows with knit stitches only.

Track. round: knit 2 stitches together = 15 stitches.
Work 2 more rounds with knit stitches. Cut the thread, leaving a long tail. Thread the piece into a knitting needle. Slip all loops onto the thread. Pull and secure the thread on the wrong side.

Universal hat with earflaps for women

Size - 54 cm (head volume)

Necessary:

  • 250 g yarn
  • regular knitting needles 4 mm
The hat can be knitted in 2 threads.

Ears:
Cast on 6 stitches and start knitting a hat in garter stitch. At the same time, add 1 loop on both edges 6 times every 2 rows. Then knit straight for another 14 rows.

If you add more loops, your eye will be much wider. If you knit more rows, then your eyelet will be longer than in the photo. So, you have knitted 2 identical ears.

HAT WITH EAR FLAPS:

Now we collect everything into one product. To do this, on a long knitting needle, alternately cast on the loops from your ears and new ones for the front and back of the hat. Please note that at first the back of the hat will gradually increase in size and will eventually consist of two parts connected by a mattress seam. For a visual representation, look at the photo of the pattern.

Thus, you need to add 1 loop, knit the loops of one ear using knit stitch (or any other stitch, if you don’t want the option from the photo), cast on an additional 20 loops for the front of the hat, knit the second eye and cast on an additional 1 loop.

Continue knitting the hat using your pattern or stockinette stitch as suggested in the photo. At the same time, add loops to expand the back of the product in every second row on both sides of the knitted fabric 1 time for 2 loops and 1 time for 3 loops. This will be about 8 rows. This will be the full width of your header. If necessary, you can adjust it by adding more loops during the knitting process.

You need to knit about 16 more rows, which will be the height of the cap before tapering at the crown.

Decrease in this way: 1 edge loop *, 5 knit loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the right, 2 knit loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the left, 5 knit loops *, repeat from * to *, 1 edge -I'm a loop.
Decrease stitches in this manner 3 more times every 2 rows, and pull off the remaining stitches after 2 rows. Sew the hat at the back using a mattress stitch.

For the front lapel, cast on 20 stitches along the edge and knit in garter stitch to the desired height. then close all the loops and attach the flap in any suitable way.

For braids, you need to cut 18 threads 1 meter long, fold them in half and thread them through the bottom of the ears and braid them into braids.

Knitted beanie hat (stocking hat, sock hat, cap)

Necessary:

  • circular knitting needles 4 mm
  • 200 g medium yarn
  • tape measure

Description:

First of all, using a measuring tape, measure the circumference of the head for which you plan to knit a hat. Let's say you get 56 cm. This means that you will knit a size 56 hat.

The second important step is to determine the knitting density. What does knitting density mean? This is the number of loops and rows required to knit a fabric measuring 10x10cm. What this means in “simple language” is to correctly calculate how many loops you need to cast on at the beginning of the work.
Cast on 22 loops and knit 10 cm in the pattern chosen for the hat.

Iron the knitted sample through a damp cloth. You don't need to smooth it out too much. Do this carefully, lightly “steaming” the sample.
Measure the prepared sample around the perimeter. Let's say you get a sample measuring 10x10 cm when knitting 30 rows. This means that the knitting density with this pattern will be 2 loops per 1 cm and 3 rows per 1 cm.

That is, for a size 56 hat you need to cast on: 56x2=112 stitches and knit 30 cm, that is, 30x3=90 rows.

Cast on the required number of stitches on circular needles. And knit in a circle, using the fishing line, with the previously selected pattern 25-27 cm up. You will get a knitted fabric in the form of a pipe. After 25 cm, start decreasing stitches by knitting 2 stitches together in every third row until you have 3 stitches left on the needle. When decreasing the stitches, knit the fabric in garter stitch. Break the thread from the skein, leaving about 10 cm, and pull it through the 3 remaining loops, knitting them together and securing the end on the wrong side.

Wool turban hat for the cold season

Necessary:

  • 150 g wool yarn
  • knitting needles No. 2.5 - 3

Knitting pattern: 1st row - 1 knit stitch, 1 purl loop. 2nd row - yarn over before the purl loop, and remove the purl loop without knitting; knit the front loops with your face. 3rd and all subsequent rows - yarn over before the purl loop, remove the purl loop without knitting, and knit the front loop and yarn over of the previous row together (grab from above).
The cap consists of two parts: the turban itself and the bottom. The height of the turban is 10-12 cm.

Description:
Cast on the height of the turban, approximately 24 loops, and knit a strip whose length is equal to half the circumference of the head minus 2 cm.
Then divide all the loops in half. Remove the left side with a pin and do not knit it temporarily, but knit 4 more rows on the right side. After this, swap both parts so that the right part goes to the left and on top of the left part. Next, put all the loops on one knitting needle and knit the second half of the strip.

If, when knitting the second half, there are two identical loops next to each other, then knit them together (so as not to knock the pattern), and at the end of the row add one loop. When the desired length is knitted, close the loops.

Now cast on loops along the entire length of the strip and knit 7 - 8 rows with an English elastic band, then 2.5 cm with a 1x1 elastic band. After this, start knitting the bottom: 2 rows with double stockinette knitting (knit the front loops with the face, remove the purl stitches, the thread remains before work). Then knit 2 stitches together across the face, so that the knit stitch is on top of the purl stitch. Knit 3-4 rows in simple stockinette stitch, then 2 rows across the face in double stockinette stitch, the next 1-2 knit rows in 2 stitches together. Pull the remaining 6-8 loops. Steam the bottom through a damp cloth.

An original bonnet (or helmet) for the very cold season

Necessary:

  • 400 g yarn
  • knitting needles No. 3

Description:
You need to cast on 31 stitches on the knitting needles and knit a transverse strip of any knitting that you choose yourself for a frill 110 cm long, so that it has a beautiful and finished look, then make the corners on it in shortened rows.
In each row, be sure to decrease the knitted loops by 2, that is, first you need to knit 29 loops on the front side of the product, then leave 2 loops intact, wrapping around the 30th loop and turning the knitted product to the wrong side, then knitting the entire row to the end.

In the next row on the front side, also knit 27 loops, leaving 4 loops intact.

Wrap around the 28th loop and turn it over again to the wrong side. Thus, knit the entire product.

Having stopped under-knitting all the loops of the corner, begin to knit the main part, increasing the rows, which will make it possible to change the direction of knitting. First, knit three loops on the front side, and in subsequent rows increase the number of loops by 2, but only knitted ones.

Having knitted the strip with the corners, on one side, cast on about 180 loops along the edge loops and knit the product with garter stitch. Then remove one stitch every three stitches on the next row. Repeat such decreases 2 more times. Then knit 5 cm in garter stitch.

After 5 cm for the main part of the hood, add evenly up to 90 stitches and again knit another 17 cm in garter stitch. Then select 30 loops in the center and knit only them, grabbing and knitting together - both at the beginning and at the end - 2 loops from the central part on each side. After all the central loops are connected to the side loops, close the remaining loops.

Hat with visor

Necessary:

  • 250-300 g yarn
  • circular knitting needles No. 2.5
  • silicone visor

Description:
Cast on 80 loops, close in a circle and knit 4-6 rows in stockinette stitch, i.e. facial loops.

When I join in a circle, I leave a tail of thread to mark the beginning of the row. Divide the number of loops into three parts - 18 stitches, 44 stitches, 18 stitches. On 44 loops we will knit a visor, making an increase of 10 loops every 4 loops. We make an increase so that the visor fits well and fits comfortably in its pocket.
When the pocket for the visor is knitted and the decreases are made, we knit the second half of the headband.

We fold the fabric into pieces, throw the tail of the thread onto the face of the knitting (beginning of the row!). We knit one loop from the knitting needle, lift one and knit it from the cast-on edge. We reach approximately the middle of the visor, insert the visor blank and continue knitting loops to the end of the row, i.e. to the tail.
The upper part of the rim (i.e. the front) should be several rows larger than the inner one (to hide the holes from turning).

And so we have 160 loops on our knitting needles. You can start knitting the crown. We divide the loops into 8 parts (wedges) and knit a zigzag pattern. One wedge - 20 loops. Rapport-*from 1 pet. knit 3 loops, knit 8, 3 loops together (behind the back wall), knit 8* - repeat 7 more times. If you want a larger cap, you can add 16 stitches = 176 stitches. One wedge - 22 loops. Rapport-*from 1 pet. knit 3 loops, knit 9, 3 loops together (behind the back wall), knit 9* repeat 7 more times.

We knit the crown height we need, knitting one row in a zigzag pattern, one row evenly.

Tulya is ready. We begin to make reductions. One row is zigzag, one row is straight.
One row - we knit only 3 loops together, and we don’t make 3 loops from 1 loop, one row exactly.

When there are 16 loops left on the knitting needles, knit 2 loops together and pull them onto a thread.
The cap is ready!

Warm double hat for winter

Necessary:

  • circular knitting needles;
  • yarn of your favorite color;
  • soft yarn for lining;
  • tape measure;
  • scissors;
  • hook.

In order to knit a double hat of your size, you need to know the circumference of your own head. Determine it using a measuring tape. Write down the result and calculate the stitches for the set. A standard for which you need to knit a small square using a working thread will help you make the calculation correctly. Count the number of loops in one centimeter of the standard.

To knit the front part of the hat, multiply this amount by the circumference of the head in centimeters and add 4-5 loops for supply. For the lining, take yarn designed for knitting children's clothes. It does not prick and does not cause skin irritation.

Description:
Cast on the required number of stitches on two knitting needles folded together, pull out one of the knitting needles and start knitting an elastic band.

The most reliable elastic band is 1x1. It stretches well and retains its original appearance for a long time. Having knitted 5-6 cm of elastic bands, start stocking knitting. When knitting in the round, it is better to knit the front loops using the front thread, so they turn out more even.

Knit the main part of the hat with a height of about 15cm. Then start decreasing. If you decide to knit a double hat on radial knitting needles, divide the number of loops by 4, mark each part and first knit 2 loops together for each part. In this case, if knitting is done with a set of 5 knitting needles, knit 2 loops first on each knitting needle.

Once all the loops are closed, secure the thread to the wrong side of the hat with a crochet hook.

For the lining of the hat, cast on loops from the wrong side of the main fabric, immediately after finishing the elastic band. Don't forget to decrease 4-5 stitches. Knit in stockinette stitch. Tie the lining 1-2 cm shorter than the main part of the hat and close it according to the same pattern.
Wash knitted items by hand, in warm water, using special detergents for washing knitted items. They must be wrung out without twisting, but dried on a terry towel in a straightened form.

Hat with ears

Size 56-57.

Necessary:

  • 150 g yarn
  • circular knitting needles 4 mm

Description:
For the first “ear” you need to cast on 7 loops and knit in this order: 1Krom., 1IP, 1LP, 1IP, 1LP, 1IP, 1Krom.
The 2nd and all purl rows are knitted according to the pattern.

Once you have about 21 stitches on your needles, measure the length of the eyelet.
If the length is suitable, then set it aside and start knitting the second one.
If not, then knit directly the required length, but without adding loops.
Tie the second “ear” in the same way.

Then, on circular or stocking needles (you can knit on straight ones, but then there will be a seam along the back of the head, and the loops will need to be distributed taking into account this seam), cast on 33 loops, add 21 loops of the first “eye”, cast on 33 loops again, add 21 loops of the second “eye”.

Next, knit with a regular elastic band 1LP x 1IP for about 3-4 rows. Make sure that the elastic pattern is distributed harmoniously across the new cast-on stitches.
Those. for the front and back of the cap, which consist of 31 loops, distribute the loops as follows:

7 elastic loops, 6 elastic loops, 7 elastic loops, 6 elastic loops, 7 elastic loops = 33 loops in total; for the “ears”, each of which consists of 21 loops, distribute the loops in this way: 6 loops of the harness, 1 IP, 6 loops of the harness, 1IP, 6 loops of the harness = a total of 20 loops. Carefully shorten 1 loop, i.e. knit 2 loops together without ruining the pattern.

Knit straight, repeat the repeat of the “harness” according to the pattern, about 14-16 centimeters.
Then start decreasing stitches.
To do this, in every 4th row, reduce evenly throughout the entire row:
3 times 1/4 of the total number of loops

Check the height of the cap, if it fits, then pull the remaining loops with the end of the thread and secure them. As a rule, the height of a hat with ears can be from 20 to 22 centimeters. Perhaps some people like it taller.
If the height is not enough, then knit a few more rows in height, while shortening the existing loops, and close at the end.

For the ties, attach pieces of yarn to the ends of the “ears”. About half as long as the desired length of the strings themselves. Take the yarn in several threads for three parts, which you will then braid into a braid. This will be your tie. Tie a knot at the end and straighten the yarn at the bottom of the tie with scissors.
For the top of the head, make a pompom.

Winter knitted hat with lapel

Size 56-57.

Necessary

  • 150 g yarn
  • regular knitting needles No. 5

Description:

The number of loops should be divided by 4, plus 2 edge loops. If we knit for an adult, approximately 98 loops will be required: 96+2=98.
We cast on loops and start knitting the first row: remove the edge loop without knitting, then 2x2 elastic: 2 knit loops, 2 purl loops, always knit the last loop of the row (edge loop) purl to maintain even edges of the product. We always remove the first stitch of the row without knitting.

All further rows, both purl and knit, are knitted according to the pattern: 2 knit stitches above the knit stitches, 2 purl loops above the purl stitches.
When the required depth of the cap is reached, taking into account the lapel option you have chosen, we begin to make decreases from the next front row: we knit 2 purl loops together with a purl loop.

In the second row (purl) we knit according to the pattern: 2 purl loops, 1 knit stitch.
In the third row we decrease the knit stitches: instead of two knit stitches, we knit two knit stitches together. The result is a 1x1 elastic band: 1 knit stitch from two knit stitches, 1 purl stitch.

Fourth row - according to the pattern: 1 purl loop, 1 knit stitch.
For the fifth row (front row), we knit two stitches together.
And the sixth, final row - purl all the loops.

As you can see, decreases when knitting a hat from a rectangle have the same principle as when knitting in the round, only adjustments are made to the front and back rows.

When knitting a hat from a rectangle, it is better to leave the tip of the thread sub-line so that it is enough for the back seam. We collect the remaining loops on it using a hook or a large needle, pull it into a ring and carefully sew the cap together. You can connect the edges of a cap in different ways (with seams), this is a reason for a separate article, but the main goal in any case is to make sure that the seam looks equally neat both on the front side and in that part of the back that will be visible when the edge of the cap is turned back . Remember this!

That's all. We tangle it, cut off the excess end of the thread and go to try it on.
I wish you interesting work and warm hats!

Hit of the season - snood hat

Necessary:

  • 200 g yarn
  • circular needles No. 5

First, decide on the width and length of the future product, and then knit a small piece with the knitting stitch you prefer. Having selected the fragment you like, you can count the number of loops for the product. So, cast on the required number of stitches on circular needles. The proposed snood must be knitted with a Polish elastic band. This knitting is not very difficult, and if you are knitting it for the first time, don’t be afraid, you will adapt quite quickly.

The resulting chain of loops must be connected into a circle and knitted.

First row: 3 knit stitches and one purl stitch.

Second row: two knit stitches, one purl stitch, and one knit stitch.

Third row: knitted similarly to the first row.

Fourth row: knit the same way as the second one.
Then continue knitting in cycles. Don’t forget that the wider the hat, the more effectively it can be placed on your head. |

Video "how to" “knit a snood hat” will help beginners learn in more detail the whole process of creating such a beautiful knitted creation.

How to knit a hat with a pattern

Hats with a pattern look more impressive, but they are much more difficult to knit, since you need to monitor both the shape of the hat and the pattern. Sometimes you get lost and have to start all over again. But if you are careful and practice on a small sample, you will succeed the first time.

English elastic hat

Necessary:

  • wool yarn – 50 g at 135 m;
  • straight knitting needles No. 4 – 2 pcs.;
  • crochet hook;
  • scissors;
  • darning needle.

1. Find out the head circumference of the future owner of the headdress and be sure to make a small square of knitted fabric for the sample - the knitting density is always calculated individually. When knitting a hat with English elastic, an elastic, almost dimensionless product is created. In the described example, with a head circumference of 55-60 cm, a knitwear density of 18 loops for 46 rows, 78 loops are cast on for the headband of the hat. The knitting needles are straight and of medium diameter (No. 4).
You can start knitting a hat with English elastic without making an elastic border. At the same time, you can make the fabric of the product either with or without a turn. Please note: the 1x1 elastic band secures the edge well!

2. Knit the headband in straight and purl rows, alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches. When 8 rows are ready, start knitting the hat with an English elastic band. In the first row of the pattern you will need to make even increases, bringing the total number of loops to 95.
To add loops, divide the row into equal sections, and knit an additional thread in each. To do this, grab and twist the transverse threads between adjacent loops.

3. Work the fluffy fabric with an English elastic band until you reach a height of 25 cm from the edge of the rim. To form the main knitwear pattern, alternate stitches in the following sequence. In the first row of the pattern, do only knit stitches; start the second row with the edge loop (it can be removed unknitted); do the front one. Next, repeat the so-called double knit stitches, inserting the right knitting needle into the thread bow of the previous row. The final loops are the front and edge stitches.

4. Start the third row of English rib also with an edge loop, then alternate double and regular knit stitches until there are only a couple of thread arches left on the left needle. Knit the first one as a double knit stitch, the second one will be an edge stitch. Repeat the pattern according to the finished sample of the second and third rows until you have made the main fabric of the headdress of the desired size.

5. Start shaping the crown of the hat. To round the knitted fabric and tighten it at the top, make uniform decreases in the forward and reverse rows: at the beginning, an edge loop; during a row of 3 thread arches are knitted together with a regular knit stitch; at the end - edging. In the next row, make decreases without leaving edges, always knit 3 loops together.

6. Cut the working yarn, leaving a tail about 10 cm long. Pull it over the open loops of the last row and drag it with the hook inside the hat. Form a strong knot.

7. Turn the hat inside out wrong side down, steam the knitted fabric and carefully connect the side edges of the part. Perform neat connecting seam using a darning needle and thread from a working ball. To ensure that the stitching remains sufficiently elastic and the product does not deform, do not make the stitches too tight.

Stylish hat with braids

Necessary:

  • 150 g yarn
  • knitting needles No. 3.5,
  • knitting needles No. 4, 5

I knitted it on two needles, because I have a large thread on circular needles and it results in a lot of tension and large holes between the loops, and I like it tighter. Then I sewed it together.
I cast on 96 stitches on the knitting needles. Knitting needles No. 3.5. Knitted in 2 threads, yarn with 20% wool, 135g per 50m.

I knitted a 2×2 elastic band about 6 cm.
Switched to knitting needles No. 4.5

Pattern:

  • (P2, K6, P2, K2) - repeat until the end of the row.
  • knit according to the pattern, where from inside to outside, where from faces to faces.

Knit 6 rows like this and in the 7th row make overlaps where there are 6 faces. (YouTube is full of videos on how to knit braids). I did this: I transfer 3 loops to a toothpick, knit the next 3, return these 3 loops from the toothpick to the left knitting needle and knit them too. Then, according to the pattern, 2 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl and again overlaps. So until the end of the row.

After these overlaps, we knit 1 row on the wrong side according to the pattern, I don’t count it.

And repeat all 6 rows again, overlap in the 7th
And repeat all 6 rows again and overlap in the 7th
In total, we made 3 braids. And from the beginning of knitting we knitted about 15-17 cm.

By watching in addition the video “how to knit a hat with braids for a woman,” you can easily master the science of knitting.

Good afternoon, our topic today is this is KNITTING HATS... I'll show you the most beautiful models women's hats for the winter of 2016-2017 and will tell you exactly how they are connected... In this article I will reveal to you general principle of knitting women's hats and berets(both crocheted and knitted). You can already about one photo to understand exactly how this hat is connected... and LEARN to figure out for yourself, without diagrams and descriptions, what needs to be done and in what order in order to ultimately knit exactly the same winter hat as in the photo.

Today we will knit...

  • caps on knitting needles (elongated and on the head)
  • knitted and crocheted beret hats (lush and not so lush)
  • women's turban hats (I'll show you one simple method using knitting needles)
  • knitted hats with brims and visors (I will tell you in detail how to make brims)
  • winter hats with graceful soft lapels
  • and dried woolen caps with designs like those of an English lady.

So, let's start knitting our autumn and winter hats.

Let's start with the simplest ones... and move on as the task becomes more complex.

Women's hats SIMPLE KNITTING...

(CAP cut)

The fastest way to knit a hat is when you just chose one simple pattern(rubber band, English elastic band, rice knitting)… And run almost the entire (or even all) part of the fabric in one pattern. Starting from the top of the head, we begin to decrease the loops in each row, and when there are 15-20 loops left on the knitting needles, we pull the thread through them and simply pull them together into one point-bun at the back of the head. The cap in the photo below is knitted using this principle - (25 rows of knitting the “rice” pattern... and 15 rows of purl stitches with decreasing stitches).

And in the same knitting with a “rice” pattern, it would be nice to knit a cozy snoody scarf (collar).

In such a RUNNING PATTERN (of the same type) you can knit it like dense a winter hat (fitting over the head)… And so loose spacious model of a knitted hat. You can decorate a woman's hat with one or two fur pom-poms.

Can be knitted HAT-CAP - as in the photo below . She looks best when it has a fairly wide (16-20 rows) elastic band. With a narrow elastic band, such a hat suits few people... as it visually cuts off the skull. A wide elastic band, on the contrary, visually elongates the oval of the face... opens the forehead and adds volume.

To knit any hat model exact knitting pattern in principle, it’s not needed... Since all the hats in the world are knitted according to the general principle. Below I give a general pattern for knitting caps....And just below I’ll give you a knitting pattern for all the berets.

GENERAL KNITTING PATTERN

for any caps.

These beanie hats can be knitted in a simple pattern WITHOUT A PATTERN... or in a RELIEF or LACERY pattern. Choose any knitting pattern on any website... and go ahead.

Step 1 – START KNITTING

First and we knit an elastic band (in 12-15 rows) and further ( without adding stitches on the knitting needles) we are already knitting a patterned fabric for the hat. We get a model similar to photo of the purple cap above.

Or after knitting the elastic we can add stitches on the knitting needles... and our canvas will begin to expand... and we will get a model of a cap that is lush in volume (like on the pink model from the photo above ).

An important rule for adding loops.

When adding loops when knitting a hat with a pattern only one thing matters – the total number of loops on the knitting needles should be DIVIDED BY THE REPORT of the pattern (by the number of loops that are repeated in the pattern pattern)…

For example, the report (repetition) of our pattern is equal to 8 loops... which means the total number of loops on the knitting needles should be divided by 8... For example, there should be 160... or 168... or 176 loops... (edge-edge loops do not count).

Step 2 – BASIC KNITTING.

Next, when the loops are added we begin to knit the pattern... repeating the reports...
We run the patterned fabric into 40 rows, if you want a regular hat size... (it also depends on the thickness of the threads) Trying it on your head... during the knitting process, you will understand when it’s enough to drive in a straight line and it’s time to narrow the fabric at the top of the head. (You can run this patterned fabric longer so that the cap is higher... or finish earlier so that the cap flows around the head and does not stick out or hang down - it’s all to your taste)

Step 3 – COMPLETING THE HAT .

Then when our hat getting closer to the back of the head(or to the length you intended) ... we begin to close the loops 4 each (or 6...or 8 each) in each row - the more stitches you cast in a row, the faster your knitting will end. Since knitting is considered complete when there are 16-20 loops left on the knitting needles

An important rule is DECREASING stitches.

We know that there are fewer loops on the knitting needles if knit two loops together (as one)... But in order for the decrease in loops to be UNIFORM, you need to do this decrease in any and all places... and in certain sectors of the hat... (so that these decreasing places are at the same distance from each other). That is, we divide the entire circumference of the hat into sectors (like dividing a round cake into equal pieces with a knife)... sectors, usually an even number can be 6... or 8 or 10...

If you have a hat with a pattern(in which some kind of drawing-report is repeated) - then the drawing itself can be a sector... Then We make the decrease in a certain (your choice) place in the pattern– and so in each repeat of the pattern we knit two loops together as one.

This is what it looks like in the process sectoral decrease in loops when knitting any hat or beret... (it doesn’t matter whether you knit it on two knitting needles or on circular ones).

For example- we have 160 stitches on our knitting needles - and we have reached the top of our hat and we need to decrease. We decide to decrease evenly in 10 places in each row... This means we need to divide our hat into 10 sectors.

Then we divide 160 by 10 and we get the number 16... (that is, we mentally divide the hat into sectors - 16 loops in each sector). And that means further we...

In our first decreasing row We will knit stitches at the end of every 16 stitches two loops together(that is, we hook each 15th and 16th together and knit it as one)…

In the second decreasing row there are one less loops left in the sector (and we will already be hooking together every 14th + 15th loops in the row)….

In the third decreasing row– there are even fewer loops in each sector (and we will knit every 13th and 14th loop together).

That's it - now you can complete the knitting.

We collect these remaining loops onto a thread... we tighten the thread, collecting all the loops into a bundle and tying it into a knot (we hide the ends of the knot inside). We close the back seam of our hat... and you're done.

LOW coarse knit hat…

If you are knitting a cap on thick knitting needles and thick threads... then it is better to make it SMALL - ON THE HEAD... and wear it slightly tilted back (that is, without pushing it over the forehead).

The knitting principle is like this small LOW hat- exactly the same as for a high cap... It’s just that here the FRONTAL PART of the knitted fabric will not be so long... that is, we move on to the TOP PART with its loop-decreasing rows earlier.

Knitted hats - WITH EARS.

HAT WITH EARS No. 1 (dark gray in the photo below) You can KNIT the ears separately and then sew them to the desired place on a ready-made knitted hat.

HAT WITH EARS No. 2 (light gray in photo above) - we knit a hat in the form of a pipe - without decreasing the loops on the top of the head, and then simply close the loops and Sew the front and back of the hat together in a straight line. T o there is a flattened top of the pipe (and sewed this flattened edge)

And then the corners of this straight seam we turn them into ears. To do this, we make a seam with threads Diagonally cutting off this corner. We make a seam with thread, pierce through both layers (front and back) and not with a needle, but with a regular crochet hook we thread the thread back and forth. This way our corner will not be pulled over the head like the whole hat, but will stick out like a separate ear. And from the other corner of our flattened and sewn tube of the hat we make the same eyelet, in the same way.

Or such ears can be designed on a knitted hat with braids - with a lush relief pattern. This is easy to knit with your own hands.

Knitted HATS with knitting needles - WITH BRAIDS.

LARGE RELIEF KNITTING “BRAIDS” looks very beautiful on women’s hats

Moreover braids can be placed vertically(like the ash-pink hat from the photo below).

Or you can knit the hat longitudinally - not from the forehead to the crown, but along the side line (along the circumference of the head) - and then our braids will be be positioned horizontally from left to right - like on the gray hat from the photo below.

KNITTED HATS –

WITH LAPELS AND BRIMS.

Fashionable hats with brim- reminiscent of elegant hats - so feminine, ideal under an elegant coat with flirty gloves... Under loose curly hair

Sometimes the brim is knitted SEPARATELY and then sewn to the edge of a finished hat...

Sometimes, in order to give such fields the necessary rigidity, special blanks of felt fields are cut out... and inserted inside the fields folded in half (like a bookmark in a book). This is exactly what was done on the knitted hat in the photo below.

Try making the same brim (as in the photo above) on your hat - it’s easy to do it yourself...

Step 1 (preparatory)

First you knit a hat... Then you cut it out of felt a figure resembling a donut (a pancake with a hole)... the inner edge of the donut hole should be the same size as the circumference of your head and the edge of the hat.

Step 2 (knitting )

Then we will knit STRAIGHT on the knitting needles (rectangular fabric elastic band pattern).

To do this, we cast on such a number of loops... so that the future fabric is equal to the length of the OUTER circumference of a felt donut (can be measured with a centimeter or a school formula)...

The length of the fabric should be twice as wide as the thickness of the donut - in order to wrap it around the donut from the bottom and top (since the knitted brim of the hat goes both above and below)... That is, we knit the fabric and from time to time we try it on to the width of the cut out donut - we wrap the side of the donut from the bottom and top sides and see how many more rows are missing... knitting to the required length.

Step 3 (stitching )
When the canvas is knitted (that is, it has reached a sufficient width for wrapping and sewing a “donut-blank” into it), we are on our canvas close the loops... remove it from the knitting needle.

We wrap our felt bagel with knitted fabric... like this so that the fold of the canvas is along the OUTER edge donut... and the connecting seam of the double fabric ran along the inner edge of the donut, the fields were... (that is, we immediately wrapped and sewed the halves of our fabric along the inner edge of the donut)

And then along the edge of the same seam We add our ready-made fields to the finished header. That's all. You can now crochet a beautiful lush flower and add it to the side of your hat.

Another way to make a brim on a knitted hat.

And in the fashionable model of a light beige cap (with the photo below) - the brim forms by itself when folded in half knitted classic rib (one knit, one purl). it's easy to do it yourself.

That is, we knit an elastic band for a hat twice as long what the fields should be... and then bend it in half. We slightly stretch the bend in breadth with our hands so that it sticks out like a visor.

Sometimes a fishing line is inserted into such a protruding bend of the elastic band- this is done so that the edges of the brim do not wrinkle from wear, but always remain smooth and elastic.

Sometimes a corset tape is placed inside the bend - for rigidity(that tape that is used to hem the trousers at the bottom) - and with sewing threads (tone on tone) it is carefully and imperceptibly sewn with through stitches through the edge of the fields.

And here is a hat with a WIDE brim .

Here the lapel is knitted in the shape of a bell... which has two sides (inner - light, and outer - dark). Now we will do it ourselves.

Such a cap you need to knit starting from the back of the head... that is, from top to bottom (since it will be convenient to adjust the scope of the fields... and if something happens, it will be convenient to unravel them and knit them again...

A simple knitting pattern for this WIDE TWO-COLOR BRIMMED HAT...

  1. To knit this black hat with white brim, we start from the top... we simply knit a straight fabric (or a straight tube, if on circular knitting needles)... The fabric of this tube should be so long that it covers the head from the top of the head to the forehead.
  2. We switch to white threads - and we are expanding sharply fabric from the edge of the forehead (adding loops in each row). A bell-like shape is formed (we reach the very edge of the brim - try it on in front of the mirror to decide whether this brim width is enough for us). We knitted the white side of the brim (the one visible in the photo).
  3. We change the threads to black ones and knit the NARROW in the opposite direction (reducing the same number of loops in each row as we added before). ... this will be the reverse side of the brim lapel (dark) which is not visible, hidden-turned away in the photograph.
  4. The result is a design in the form of... first a narrow black pipe.... then an expanding white part... and then a tapering black part.
  5. At the widest point of the canvas(where the white turns into black again) we fold the fabric in half (we folded the brim of the hat in half... And we sew this fold together and fasten it with threads - we fix this double brim sandwich.
  6. And then all that remains is sew the top crown seam of the hat - fold it into an envelope as seen in the photo and secure with threads... and (if we did not knit on circular knitting needles) make the back seam of the hat.

Note – if you are knitting such a hat from thick, dense threads, then the brim does not need to be DOUBLE - they will still turn out dense and stick up .

(If I suddenly explained it incomprehensibly – write in the comments, I’ll explain in more detail and even draw... and maybe even count the number of rows and loops in a row).

Knitted hat with a crochet brim.

And here is a MULTI-COLORED hat, which is crocheted. Crocheting brims is generally easy. There is no need to be clever here - just drive the columns in a circle, sharply increasing their number in the fields.

And then, at the very edge of the brim (on the last rows), you need to slightly reduce the number of columns so that the cap itself asks for a neat fold upward.

KNITTED HATS –

WITH SOFT CUTS.

Fields knitted hat can be soft and just TURN TO THE HAT... then we have a graceful lapel on a knitted cap.

Here in the photo below we see an example of how a SINGLE SIDE LAPEL is made.
I think everyone understands exactly how it was made.

Knits first top crown of the hat...And then we knit the lapel part itself as a separate long sheet on knitting needles (similar to a scarf). The pattern is the same - we knit both on the front and back sides all the time only knit loops... we get a ribbed pattern (it is thanks to this ribbing of the pattern that our fields keep their shape well).

Buttonholes are not necessary– we simply sew the edges of the fabric overlapping each other... and sew on buttons for decoration.

Here's the front flap . The hat is knitted on two needles (without elastic) so that the fabric itself wraps itself with a beautiful roll up. The pattern looks like RICE...

And here is the lapel, which is uniform around the entire circumference of the cap. It is decorated with a neat flower.

The hat with lapels is made of soft angora.

And here is another fashionable hat - in it we see a non-standard circular knitting - and the direction of the knitted fabric goes across - this made it possible to come up with such beautiful lapel fields.

Here the knitting direction is HORIZONTAL (and apparently trapezoidal)... which is then sewn into a hat (if suddenly something extra is knitted together), you can always correct it with scissors (roughly) and cover the cut with threads.

To be sure, we can first do trial mock-up of a hat from a piece of an old sheet(to guess its shape) ... then knit the fabric according to the shape of the layout ... and fold such a hat.

And even better.... knit such a hat ONE SIZE BIGGER... and therefore REDUCE-FALL it (like a felt boot) in hot water (40 degrees) in the washing machine... The knitting will immediately thicken greatly - the hat will become denser and one size smaller.

I’ll tell you MORE ABOUT THE RULES OF FELING right now using the example of the following two hats.

KNITTED HATS WITH CUTS - dried.

See what fashionable dried hats can be knitted... and felted in the washing machine.

They knit first larger than necessary. Then they are washed in hot water and the wool shrinks reduced by 30% and the hat becomes dense and warm, as if made from soft felt fabric.

Let me say in advance that both hats, gray and pink, are knitted according to the same instructions - they are the same model, they just have a little different hand-draping of the brim (using hat pins).

Detailed descriptions of the dumped hats from the photo above.

(gray and red cap).

Characteristics of the material and product.

200 g yarn Wash+Filz-it! Fine

(100% wool, 50 g\100 meters No. 00120

circular needles No. 5, double needles No. 5
Buckle + pin, brooch, buttons (for finishing hat brims).

Product size before felting: head circumference 70 cm, height 26.5 cm.

Product size after felting: head circumference 54, height 20 cm.

Before starting work- you should knit a sample from purchased yarn - mark a 10 by 10 cm square on it with a bright thread. Then felt this sample in the washing machine and check how it shrinks.

According to the declared yarn— the knitting density before and after felting should coincide with the following:

Knitting density before felting: 10 x 10 cm = 16 loops and 22 rows

Knitting density after felting: 10 x 10 cm = 20 loops 29 rows

And if your data is different (and this may be due to a different yarn, too tight knitting, or, conversely, your habit of knitting loosely and sweepingly), then you need to cast on a slightly different number of stitches on the knitting needles. Depending on how different your prototype is from the one presented above.

In order not to look closely at the fine print and encrypted abbreviations, I decided to write down step by step and in rows the whole knitting process and header assembly.

STEP 1 – knit the main part of the hat brim.

We start knitting from the margins - that is, we cast on 124 loops on circular knitting needles and knit circular rows using stockinette stitch. 20 rows in a circle. And we get the straight part of the brim (gray shading on the brim pattern). And all we have to do is knit that part of the fields, which will be an elongated triangular shape on the pattern from the diagram below.

STEP 2 – start changing the shape of the fields

(narrow on one side and wide on the other side).

At a height of 9 cm (= after 20 circular rows) we knit short rows- every second row we will decrease by 10 loops. This is necessary so that our fields will be different in level - on the one hand, our field will be wider (there will be more rows), and on the other hand, our hat field will be narrow (in the place where we reduced every second row by 10 loops). Now you will learn how this is done and understand what it will look like.

I decided write each row, which you are knitting - so that you can knit without bothering your brain by strictly repeating the steps described below.

So, at a height of 9 cm (after 20 circular rows) we knit short rows as follows.

We have 124 stitches on our knitting needles. We start knitting 21st round row but we do not knit this row to the end, but to the last 10 stitches of the row(that is, we do not knit all 124 loops that are on the knitting needles, but only 114 knit stitches) , after which we stop and we need to turn the work backwards (so that the wrong side of the knitting is already looking at us) and we can knit in the opposite direction of the circle.

And in this opposite direction we do 1 yarn over on the right needle And knit row 22these same ones, reduced in number of 114 loops, but purl stitch. We knitted this amount to the end and unfolded our knitting again to the front side to knit the next 23rd row. This is what it looks like in the drawing (I hope I drew it clearly).

On this front side we knit 23rd front row– but we also don’t knit all 114 loops – we turn the knitting again before reaching 10 loops to the end. That is, in the 23rd row we must knit 104 knit stitches. And turn to the wrong side - to knit on it 24th row – 104 purl loops (before each purl row, do not forget to make 1 yarn over on the right needle). And we turn around again to the front side.

25th row we also do not knit 10 loops to the end - but stop at the knitted ones 94 knit stitches– and turn to the wrong side. Where we already knit Row 26 – purl 94 stitches. And we turn again to the front side.

This 27th row We also do not knit up to 10 purl loops - that is, we only knit 84 knit stitches. Turn the knitting inside out and knit Purl row 28 – 84 stitches. And again we turn to the front side.

This 29th row we further reduce by 10 loops - that is, we only knit 74 knit stitches, and unfold the knitting to the reverse wrong side, and knit Row 30 – purl 74 stitches. We return to the front.

This 31 row– we again reduce by 10 loops – that is, we only knit 64 knit stitches. Turn inside out - knit Row 32 – purl 64 stitches. We return to the front side.

This 33 row 54 knit stitches 34th row - 54 purl loops. Unfold it to the front side.

This Row 35– we again reduce the knitting by 10 loops – we knit only 44 knit stitches. Turn inside out and knit 36th row - 44 purl loops. We return to the front side.

This 37 row– we again reduce the knitting by 10 loops – we knit only 34 knit stitches. Turn inside out and knit Row 38 – purl 34 stitches. Turn to the front side.

This Row 39– we reduce the knitting by 10 loops for the last time – we only knit 24 knit stitches. Turn inside out and knit Row 40 – purl 24 stitches. And after that, we unfold the knitting for the last time with the front side facing us. This was the last short row. We returned to the front side.

And now we can continue our regular circular knitting- together with all 124 stitches in a row.

STEP 3 – knit the main dome of the hat.

So, we have 124 loops on the knitting needles, the already knitted fields are hanging from the knitting needles (on one side of the circle the fields are wider 40 rows high, on the other hand, narrower 21 rows high.). Now we will knit the hat itself - the part that is pulled over the head.

The first thing we need to do is seal the transition from the brim to the dome of the cap. To do this, we knit each loop together with a yarn over.

Here is one way to close the loops - using a hook.

So, we closed 12 loops - and that means we have 112 loops left on the knitting needles. From these we will knit the dome of the hat.

We transfer these loops from circular knitting needles for 4 double needles- 28 loops on each of the four knitting needles. And we knit in a circle 30 front rows up. (Our knitting rises another 13.5 cm (excluding margins).

Now we stopped and marked every 14th loop on our knitting (you can thread red ribbons between every 14th loop). We will need these marks (there will be 8 of them) to correctly reduce the cap (narrow the dome).

We noted that in the next circular row we knit every 14th loop together with the previous one (that is, we knit 13 and 14 together). As a result, we were left with 104 loops on the knitting needles.

Next we knit like this.
In every 4th row we repeat the decrease(we knit the loop marked with a ribbon together with the previous loop). Let's do this 3 times. (That is, 3 rows are simple, 4 we decrease - 3 rows are simple, 4 we decrease and another 3 rows we simply decrease 4 - three such passes). As a result we have left There are 80 stitches on the needles.

Now let's turn it down more.

In every 2nd row we make the same decrease (in the same places marked with red ribbon). Repeat 6 times. That is, we alternate 12 rows: one simple + one decreasing. As a result we have There are 32 stitches left on the needles.

And now we come to the end of the mating.

Three rows We do decreases in a row - in each row. In the same places marked with ribbon. And on the knitting needles we have 8 loops left.

We finish knitting: cut the thread, pull the tail of the thread through these last 8 loops. and tighten it tightly. We secure the end of the thread in the body of the hat (using a crochet hook).

STEP 4 – felting the hat

in the washing machine

+ forming its final form.

And here detailed description how such hats knitted from wool can be WASHED IN THE WASHING MACHINE...

  1. Place the header into a laundry bag.
  2. We put it in the washing machine washing powder for colored laundry. There is NO NEED to add fabric softener or detergent for wool.
  3. Choose mode - delicate wash(it has a large supply of water - that’s what we need). The cycle for washing wool is NOT NECESSARY.
  4. Setting the temperature 40 degrees.
  5. Best together with a hat in the typewriter stick something rough(like jeans or a towel) - to create additional friction.
  6. We start the wash - as a result of which the product will shrink by 1\3 (that is, by 30%) After that, we take it out - squeeze it out and PULL and STRETCH it wet to the size of her head... (so that she remembers this shape)...
  7. and then we put it on the BLANK where it will dry. It is, of course, understandable that you don’t have hat blanks in your household - n oh can you find a replacement for her- for example, put a suitable size children's ball or a three-liter jar (to increase the size of the jar, you can wrap it in several layers of newspaper, secure it with tape and put on a bag for cleanliness) - put on a hat and leave it like that until it dries completely.
  8. After you have pulled the hat onto the blank, you must level its brim - pull the brim so that on one side they are 9 cm, and on the other 15 cm.
  9. AND UNTIL THE HAT IS DRY, let's style it. .

This is where photography can help you. We approach the mirror and try to lay out the fields as shown in the photo. The instructions say this:

Styling for a gray hat: Align the margins (9 cm and 15 cm). Fold the brim up (both the short and long sides. Take the edge of the short brim turned up and turn its half down. Pin this place with a hat pin (buckle + stick).

Handicrafts today are not just a fashionable hobby. Having studied this skill, you can look stylish and fashionable without spending a lot of money. Schemes are proposed for beginners and just amateurs. They can easily be used to tie a fashionable hat. If something is not clear, video clips with detailed instructions will help you figure it out.

Experienced needlewomen just need to look at ready product to understand how to knit and how many stitches to cast on.

Before starting, you need to knit a small sample of 10 cm by 10 cm. Measure it with a centimeter tape or ruler. You must clearly understand how many loops are in 1 cm. The knitting density is different for each craftsman. Take head volume measurements. Multiply the number of cm by the number of loops, based on 1 cm according to your sample.

This approach will help to avoid corrections and bandages of the fabric of the future product.

Model 1

For such a hat you will need 150 grams of thread, knitting needles with fishing line, number 3 - for making elastic, number 5 - for fabric. The fabric is of medium density, cast on 98 p. The headdress is knitted with two twisted threads, a skein of 135 grams, 50 meters long.

The base is knitted with an elastic band 2 by 2, with a height of at least 6 cm. Change the thickness of the knitting needles to a larger number.

Let's move on to the decorative part of the canvas.

  • 2*, 4\,2*,4\,2*, this sequence must be continued until the final P end of the P LP.
  • Knit TP the way they look at P.

We continue repeating the pattern until the sixth P, twist the P braids on the seventh (for a visual aid, watch the videos). You can throw P onto a pin or auxiliary needle.

  • Then we move on to TP. We remember that it is knitted the way P looks. On the LP we continue the pattern from the beginning.

After approximately 15 cm of knitted fabric, or three braids, we begin to reduce the size of the product. It is reduced by shortening * P, knitting two into one, through two braids in each P TP.

  • TP the way they look at P. We no longer make flagella on the LP. Using exactly the same scheme, connect * with \. To reduce you need 5 R by 14 P, the remaining 28 P are dropped onto the thread and pulled together. The top is ready. Clip on the pompom.

You got a brand new headdress at a minimum cost.

Model 2

For such a hat you will need 255 grams of thread, number 5 knitting needles with fishing line for the base, number 6 for the fabric. The fabric is of medium density, cast on 72 p. The headdress is knitted with two twisted threads, a skein of 85 grams, 135 meters long.

We calculate so that from 15 P to 20 R\ we get 10 cm of canvas.

We knit the base 8 cm, alternating 1* and 1\. On the LP we change the knitting needle.

  • 1 R - knit LP 3\, 3\ to 3\ twist, continue this sequence until the end of R.
  • 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28 R - we knit TP as they look at P.

Don’t forget that the headdress is seamless, we knit it in a circle.

  • 3 R - we knit the way they look at P.
  • 5 Р – twist 3\ to 3\, 3\ repeat the pattern until the end of Р.
  • 7 R - we knit the way they look at P.
  • 9 Р – knit 3\, twist 3\ by 3\, repeat the pattern until the end of Р.
  • 11 R – we knit the way they look at P.
  • 13 Р – twist 3\ to 3\, 3\ repeat the pattern until the end of Р.
  • 15R – we knit the way they look at P.
  • 17 R – knit 3\, twist 3\ by 3\, repeat the pattern until the end of R.
  • 19 R – we knit the way they look at P.
  • 21 Р – twist 3\ to 3\, 3\ repeat the pattern until the end of Р.
  • 23 R – we knit the way they look at P.
  • 25 R – knit 3\, twist 3\ by 3\, repeat the pattern until the end of R.
  • 27 R - we knit the way they look at P.

We begin to round the headdress:

  • 29 R – reduce by connecting 3\ in 1 P, knit 6\, continue to the end of the R. Remove to the end of the R 24 P.
  • 30 R - we knit it the way they look at P.
  • 31 R – knit 1\, reduce by connecting 3\ in 1 P, 3\ in 1 P, continue until the end of R. Remove 24 P to the end.
  • 32 R - we knit the way they look at P.
  • 33 R – we drop the remaining P onto a thread and tighten it.

We grab the pompom.

How to make a pompom correctly:

Wrap your palm in an unfolded state with a thread 60 times. The beginning and end of the thread should be left longer. Carefully remove the skein, rewind it with a thread in the middle, and tie the knots tightly. We cut all double threads. We form the correct ball.

A very delicate and stylish pattern of the cap will add romance to your look. For knitting you need to use a thread of medium thickness. The knitting should be tight.

The base of the product is knitted 5 cm, from P 2 _ to 2 |. To do this, we use knitting needles number 3. After the warp, change them to number 5.

The knitting is tight, for such a hat you need to dial 96 P.

After knitting 15-17 cm in height, we begin to decrease P.

  • 1 R S LP decreases » | » P by connecting 4 P into 1 P. By the end of P, the number of P will be reduced by 18, and will be 78 P.
  • 2 R we knit the way they look P
  • 3 R we decrease "_" by connecting 4 P into 1 P. » | "We also reduce 4 P in 1 P. By the end of P, the number of P will be reduced by 36, and will be 42 P.
  • We knit 4 R the way they look at P.

This hat is perfect for both young girls and older ladies. It is made with a very simple knit. A novice needlewoman can handle it.

Markings and designations used in the work:

Model 3

The design of this hat is particularly light and charming. In such a headdress frosts are not scary. Even a beginner can handle the work; a detailed description will help prevent mistakes.

Let's move on to knitting the fabric and the base of the hat:

The next stage will be the formation of the rounding of the headdress. To do this, you need to gradually decrease P by P:

We leave a long thread, drop all the Ps onto it, pull it tightly, tie a knot, and hide the tail.

Women's winter hat with a lapel, knitting patterns with explanations

Model 1

The hat is a simple knit, insulated with a lapel, thanks to which your ears will be warm in the winter cold. The model can be knitted with braids, with a regular thick English elastic band.

For the base you need to dial 98 P. The height of the base is knitted based on your desire, but not less than 7-8 cm for a beautiful lapel. Next we knit one R *. After this P we move on to knitting the base for the future fabric 8-9 cm. Make the elastic 2 * by 2 \ P.

Do not forget that the first P is always simply removed, the last one is always *.

The fabric of the cap is made with English elastic. After we have knitted 15-17 cm from the lapel, we begin to decrease the P and form a rounded part of the top of the product.

To do this, according to the LP, we divide the number of P into 6 parts, in the middle of each we reduce 5 P in 1 P. The P will decrease by 24 P, the number of remaining P will become 74 P.

  • We knit TP the way they look at P.
  • We reduce the next P along the LP in 6 parts by reducing 5 P in 1 P. The P will be reduced by 24 P, the number of remaining P will become 50 P.
  • We knit TP the way they look at P.
  • We reduce the next P along the LP in 6 parts by cutting 5 P into 1 P. The P will be reduced by 24 P, the number of remaining P will become 26 P. Cut off the long thread.

Using the TP, we drop the P onto a thread, pull it tightly, tie a knot, and hide the tail. We connect the edges of the product using a needle or hook. The seam must be neat.

Model 2

The hat is knitted from a coarse thread on large sp., it is better to choose between numbers 5-7. There should be no holes between the Ps, you need to knit tightly.

The cap is quite voluminous, for the base you need to dial 90 P. The height of the base before the lapel is 7-8 cm, after turning into the inside of the product it is always 1-2 cm more. The base pattern is knitted 2* by 2\P. Before you start knitting the inner base you need to work one P*P.

If you knit according to the proposed pattern and increase after 1 stitch, the product will be too voluminous. It is best to do it after 3-5 P.

Try knitting a small sample of 15 P by 15 R. This way you can choose the desired volume of the cap for yourself.

The next step will be rounding the top of the future product. To do this, we adhere to the following scheme:

A wonderful, and most importantly warm winter product is ready. The P of the last P needs to be dropped on a string. It needs to be left longer. After the P is dropped, pull it off and tie a tight knot. Using the same thread, sew the two edges of the product.

Remember the neatness and grace of the seam.

The top can be decorated with a pompom.
