Description of mating bactus “Breakwater”

We will work in three stages.

First

We start knitting the “Breakwater” scarf with knitting needles from the corner. You need to dial 3p. and knit 6p. persons Ch. At the end of 6 p.m. add 1p. from the inside and place a marker. Then we change the pattern - knit 6p. purl satin stitch In the last of them we again add 1p. Using this algorithm, knit the required length - at least 40cm. Be careful - do not forget to add increments on one side and alternate stripes of faces. and out. iron.

Second

Our goal will be to obtain a rounded profile of the product. To do this, in every even p. on the inside we make an increase of 1 p., and on the outer, opposite side we decrease 1 p. So tie the breakwater another 30 cm.

Third

For a big twist at the beginning of every 6r. close in 4 p. At the same time, we make increments by 1 point: in even p. - at the end of the row, in odd numbers - at the beginning. We get beautiful teeth.

We knit the bactus with knitting needles to the required length, close the loops with knitting needles No. 4. The “Breakwater” scarf is ready!

Baktus is an interesting neck accessory that has become very popular for Lately. This is a triangular scarf or scarf that is tied around the neck with a middle angle forward. Bactus is a wonderful and interesting alternative to a snood or scarf. It can be intended only for beauty and completing the image, or it can be warm, woolen, and in addition to the aesthetic function, also perform a practical, warming one. Let's take a closer look at how to knit such a warm, yet very beautiful and stylish bactus with knitting needles.

For work we will need:
  1. Yarn. For this model, the sectional dyed thread Alize lanagold batik was chosen. Coloring such a thread creates an interesting effect of transition of shades in the product.
  2. Knitting needles No. 3 or 3.5.
  3. Beads with a wide hole for decorating the ends of bactus – 6 pieces.
  4. Scissors.

When everything is ready, let's start. It's important to understand the principle when working on this thing. Knitting is very simple and fun. We use 3 types of knitting:

  1. Stockinette stitch or stockinette stitch. In the front rows there are facial loops, in the purl rows there are purl loops.
  2. Net. Knit row: Yarn over, 2 together and repeat until the end of the row. Purl row - purl all stitches, including yarn overs.
  3. Garter stitch: knit stitches in both purl and knit rows.

These are simple types of knitting that even beginners can do.

Now in detail the stages of creating a bactus:

Bactus is a triangle. We start knitting from the center of the longest side of the triangle.

We put 2 loops on the knitting needles and knit 6 rows in garter stitch.

There are 2 loops on the knitting needle, raise 5 more loops, returning along the side of the knitted bar. In total there are 7 loops on the knitting needle.

We distribute the loops like this: 2 – the edge of the bactus, we always knit them in garter stitch, that is, always with knit stitches. 1 loop – the beginning of the main fabric of one side of the bactus, 1 central loop, 1 loop – the beginning of the second side of the bactus and 2 outer loops. This will be the base on which we will make additions on both sides of the central loop to expand the bactus fabric. You can hang a marker on the central loop, but when knitting it will be visible anyway.

Next we knit as follows.

All front rows: 2 outer loops in garter stitch, add a loop from the broach between the loops, then all the front loops of the bactus fabric to the central loop. Yarn over in front of the central loop and knit the central loop. Next, everything is in a mirror image: after the central loop, yarn over, knit all the loops up to the outer two, increase from the broach between the loops, the outer 2 loops in garter stitch. We knit the wrong side like this: the last two loops are in garter stitch, we add a loop from the broach between the loops, then purl all the loops, including yarn overs to the outer two loops, again we add a loop from the broach between the loops, the last 2 loops are in garter stitch.

Important! We make additions in the front rows after the last 2 loops from the broach, on the sides of the central loop of the yarn over and again before the last 2 loops from the broach. In purl rows only near the outer loops from the broach.

This way we knit any number of rows. This will be the smooth part, which we will alternate with mesh. Before starting and after the mesh, it is important to knit 1 row from the wrong side with facial loops.

We knit the mesh according to the same pattern with the same additions: add after the 2 outer loops from the broach

and on the sides of the central loop

Only in the main fabric we do not use stocking stitch, but a mesh stitch. After the mesh, we knit the purl row of the main fabric with facial loops. This way we will have a beautiful relief frame on both sides of the mesh.

Alternate rows of stocking stitch and mesh as you want

We knit the edge of the bactus in several rows (5-6 rows) in stocking stitch and close the loops.

The bactus itself is ready. Now let's decorate it with tassels. To do this, we will make three tassels from the threads that are left over from knitting:

We wind the thread several turns (35-45) around 4 fingers of the palm.

We pull a piece of thread from one edge and tie it tightly.

We form the head of the brush by pulling it with thread.

String a couple of beads on top of the tassel.

Now we tie the tassels along the edges of the bactus and hide the thread. Stylish accessory ready.

Among knitted items, if you look at the new items for 2018-2019, you will definitely come across bacti - Scandinavian triangle scarves, which have become fashionable in the Nordic countries. These versatile knits are comfortable and practical and can be worn with any other clothing and at any time of the year.

Any woman can knit bactus with knitting needles, creating an interesting outfit for herself. You just need to choose one of the video lessons and carefully repeat all the movements of the instructor. Our selection of master classes includes classes for beginners, where you will learn how to create new bactus models with your own hands that will decorate your wardrobe.

Scandinavian scarf

A knitted scarf is not easy to knit so that its corners are the same. You are offered knitting patterns in which adding and decreasing stitches led to the creation of a strictly equilateral scarf. The yarn used is 100% acrylic, 100 grams of which contain 200 meters of thread.

The scarf used 300 grams of wool. The knitting needles used were size 5.5. The sides of the triangle turned out to be 117 centimeters each, the third side is 185 cm. A formula for knitting a scarf is proposed, which allows you to achieve the necessary symmetry. To get an interesting picture, detailed diagrams alternation different types loops

Video lesson:

Shawl-bactus

The yarn used for knitting is Italian-made Princess, consisting of 30% wool and 70% acrylic. 100 grams of it contain 190 meters of thread. The yarn is not itchy and pleasant to the touch, and looks beautiful after washing. Circular knitting needles No. 3 were used. First of all, 30 rows are knitted in stockinette stitch, then 4 rows in a garter stitch.

Next, alternating the stockinette stitch and the garter pattern allows you to get an interesting pattern. All this is described in detail in the video tutorial. To close the loops, needles No. 4 were used. The ability to knit straight and purl stitches is quite enough to create a shawl, and for beginners the knitting process is shown in detail.

Video lesson:

Knitted scarf

The video tutorial allows you to understand how to start knitting a scarf, in which places to add additions to get a triangular shape and decorate the product with a pattern. Knitting is quite accessible even for beginners. We will need:

  • knitting needles on a long fishing line, since when knitting a triangle the number of loops increases all the time;
  • hook for obtaining a pattern with cones;
  • alpaca or mohair yarn, always light.

The scarf can have a triangular or crescent shape; work diagrams are given to obtain both options. The yarn used is 70% merino wool, 10% silk and 10% cashmere.

Video lesson:

For knitting, knitting needles No. 6 and ALIZE yarn were used, containing 49% wool and 51% acrylic. 100 grams contain 240 meters of thread. We cast on three loops on the knitting needles in three rows. In the fourth row, a loop is added, and the next three rows already have 4 loops. Next, a loop is added again. The result is a corner.

Anyone can understand the description for beginners. Having reached the maximum number of loops (in our case, 42 loops), we begin to gradually reduce their number until there are only three loops left that are closed. At the corners of a triangular bactus, you can make tassels, the manufacture of which is discussed in detail.

Video lesson:

Bactus from left to right

You can use any yarn and select knitting needles depending on the desired knitting density. Pure cotton yarn “Alize” was used, 50 grams of which contain 180 meters. Knitting is done on needles No. 3. The work begins with six loops. Then the knitting is unfolded, and the first row is knitted with facial loops. The purl row is also created from knit stitches, so it turns out to be a garter stitch.

From the third row, the addition of loops in the center begins, and three loops on the left and right will be required for finishing the edges. Knitting patterns for triangular bactus are not complicated, you just need to follow the instructions of the instructor.

Video lesson:

Neckerchief

Bactus may have different size, it can be adjusted during operation. Knitting begins from the corner, five loops are cast on, and one loop is added in every second row. This is how the bevel is formed, the fabric itself expands, and when you have knitted it to the size you need, you simply close all the loops. In the sample, the work was completed on 152 loops. This corresponds to size 180cm. Used for this:

  • “Alize Lana Gold” wool blend yarn with a density of 240 meters per 100 grams;
  • size 5 knitting needles;

Options are available to create an openwork pattern. In this case, pure acrylic yarn was used.

Video lesson:

100 gram shawl

Knitting is done on needles No. 4 on a 60-centimeter fishing line. For 50 grams of yarn made from 60% cotton, 30% wool and 10% yak, there are 130 meters of thread. It explains in detail how to use the diagrams and descriptions. Edge loops are not indicated in the diagram. A triangular shawl begins to be knitted from the center, although you can start from one of the corners.

It tells how many loops need to be added in each case to obtain a regular triangle. Before starting to implement the pattern, two loops are made, which are knitted with straight loops. With a gradual addition of loops, knitting proceeds row after row. After the seventh row, work according to the scheme begins.

Video lesson:

Scarf bactus

The scarf is knitted simply and beautifully: it consists entirely of knit stitches, the number of which gradually increases and decreases. Wool blend yarn was used, which contains equal parts wool and acrylic. The colors of the yarn were different, so the scarf turned out to have stripes. The maximum width of the scarf is 34 cm, full length– 144 cm.

The sizes depend on the threads and the size of the knitting needles and can be selected as desired. Used knitting needles size 2.5. Start knitting from one of the ends, while one edge remains straight, and on the second edge all increases and then decreases are made. Only four loops are cast on, and an increase is made from the next row on one side.

Video lesson:

Bactus (neck scarf)

A scarf with a simple pattern turns out beautiful. Its width is 35 cm, length is 120 cm. When knitting, the following were used:

  • flexible knitting needles No. 4;
  • Pekhorka yarn new alpaca, for 150 meters - 50 grams, 2 skeins of yarn went.

We cast on 15 stitches on the knitting needles and mark the middle of the row. We knit with knit stitches to the mark, yarn over and continue knitting with knit stitches. In the second row all stitches are knitted. The third row is knitted to the center, yarn over, and knitted to the end. The following rows are knitted in the same way, and it is described and shown in detail how each row is knitted from the first to the 12th. Then everything is repeated in the same sequence.

Video lesson:

Warm bactus scarf

Belarusian yarn “Areola” is used from 16% alpaca, 35% wool and 49% polyacrylic. A 50-gram skein contains 235 meters of thread. We knit with two threads using knitting needles number 4.5 on a fishing line. We cast on five loops on the knitting needles and begin the first row. The first loop is knit, then the same, the third is purl, 4 and 5 are knitted.

Starting from the next row, we make increases. It is described in detail and shown how to make straight and reverse yarn overs, and knit front and back loops. The result is an increase at the edges and in the center of the row, on both sides of the center line. As a result, a triangular fabric is formed.

Needlewomen can diversify not only their own, but also the wardrobe of all family members by making beautiful things and accessories. But the thing should not only be beautiful, but also useful.

When the cold comes, you want to wrap yourself up and warm yourself. You can do this very stylishly by knitting bactus for yourself and your family using garter stitch.

Bactus is essentially a scarf made in garter stitch. The birthplace of the accessory is Norway. Initially, the product was an exclusively male part of the wardrobe, part of the folk costume.

The accessory is quite multifunctional - you can wear it as a scarf, shawl or headscarf. You can wear it not only on your neck, but also on your head. This wardrobe item will suit any style of clothing - urban, sports, classic and so on. Now it is no longer only masculine, but rather unisex.

The sizes depend only on the wishes of the knitter - bactus can be either large or small. On average, the length of the product is 1 meter and the width is about 30 cm.

What is garter stitch?

Every needlewoman begins to learn to knit with garter stitch. This is the most popular and simplest knitting method. The name is explained very simply - this is the pattern used to knit down scarves. Most often it is used as a background for patterns.

First, let's remember the main types of loops - front and back. In garter stitch they are used using the alternating method: knit row, purl row.

For knit stitches, the working thread is located at the back. You need to pull it out by threading the knitting needle from the front. When knitting a purl loop, the opposite is true - the working thread is in front, and the knitting needle comes in behind.

To start any knitting, you need to pick up stitches. For example, you can start small - 20 loops. Garter stitch is done like this: the first stitch is removed, then the entire row is knitted in stockinette stitch. The last loop is made purl.

We turn the product over and knit it in the same way as the previous row - the outermost loops are edge stitches, and the row is knitted.

The technique is very simple and is usually where almost any knitting begins.

Bactus models

Although easy to implement, there are several different models bacti in garter stitch. Detailed description And the diagrams below will help even a beginning knitter cope with the task.

Bactus with leaves

The finished product will be 154 cm long and 33 cm wide. First you need to knit a sample. The density of the product should be 24 loops per 31 rows - this will be a square of 10x10 cm.

You need to start by casting on three loops.

1 row - 1 loop - 2 knit loops.

2nd row - 2 loops in purl, knit. to the end, from the last - 2 knits.

We repeat these rows 4 times.

Now the description of the leaves:

1st row - 2 loops in purl, knit. to the end, from the last - 2 knits;

Rows 2, 4, 6 - purl 1, knit 4. loops, then the thread wraps around the knitting needle and turns;

Rows 3, 5, 7 – knit. to the end, from the last - 2 knits;

9 row - front;

10, 12 rows - purl 1, knit 1, knit 3, lift the thread on the knitting needle and knit together with the loop;

11, 13 rows - front;

Row 14 - purl 1, knit 1, knit 3, lift the thread on the knitting needle and knit together with the loop, knit. to the last loop, from 1 loop 2 knit. We break the thread.

Now we knit to the desired size, repeating the main and “leaf” part again (from rows 1 to 13). At the end, the 14th row is knitted, close the loops, break the thread and hide the end.

Simple variegated bactus

The result will be a product 180 cm long and 50 cm wide. You need to start knitting from the top point, that is, the middle corner, using garter stitch. The entire product is knitted in garter stitch with increases in each row.

You can decorate the bactus with tassels or pom-poms in the corners, or you can tie it with crochet.

This model is suitable for any season, you just need to choose the right yarn.

What yarn is suitable for knitting?

For the first model you will need yarn of 2 colors - 100 g of each. It is better to take circular knitting needles, from 80 cm, No. 2.5.

For a simple bright bactus you will need wool yarn or a wool/acrylic mixture of approximately 300 g. Knitting needles No. 4 are regular (then you will need to sew them together) or circular (you will get a solid product), hook No. 4.5.

As for the color of the yarn, it can be anything. Some people prefer single-color threads, while others like multi-colored products.

How warm the bactus will be depends on the thickness of the yarn. So for a winter accessory it is better to choose yarn with added wool, and for the summer - cotton.

Knit an unusual bactus with knitting needles, but also be patient, as the length of this scarf varies from 1 to 1.5 meters. Bactus is knitted scarf a triangle, elongated and does not look like a shawl.
The classic scarf scarf is a simple garter stitch. This scarf is most often made from multi-colored yarn that is dyed in sections. As a result, an unusual accessory is obtained, despite this simple knitting. Knitting bactus with knitting needles is a great chance to treat yourself or someone else with a new thing. Often the scarf is knitted with knitting needles and crocheted at the end, but not in all models.

How to wear bactus

The scarf will save you from the cold and wind, as well as from the hot sun, and will serve as a wonderful decoration. Bactus is worn around the neck on top of clothes and sweaters. Woolen bactus knitted is perfect for a jacket, raincoat, coat. The scarf, knitted from cotton yarn, goes well with a T-shirt, dress and top.
Often the scarf is worn with a scarf angle forward; in winter it is convenient, it covers the neck. Even in bad weather, you can throw the accessory on your head or wrap a turban around your head. Bactus is also worn with a scarf corner backwards. Some people wear a scarf on their hips, while others tie it from the shoulder to the waist.

There are many ways to tie bactus:

  • a common way is to wrap your neck like a simple scarf, only so that the corner is under the chin;
  • lay the corners of the scarf on top;
  • wrap the triangle using the edges of the scarf;
  • The scarf can be secured with a brooch, tied in a knot, and the ends pulled into a bow.

Bactus is fashionable novelty, a universal scarf, great for everyone. If you have not purchased such an accessory yet, try knitting bactus with knitting needles.
Let's look at a few original ideas knitting with patterns, product description.

Garter stitch bactus for beginners

This graceful bactus with a jagged edge will not leave anyone indifferent. With this accessory you can update any outfit. The scarf measures 35 cm at the top and is 1 meter long.

Beginning needlewomen will need the following materials:
  • about 100 grams of yarn (a mixture of wool and acrylic);
  • marker;
  • long knitting needles N4;
  • row counter.

Operating procedure

Cast on 3 loops, knit from the 1st to the 10th row in garter stitch. That is, except for the edges, knit or purl - choose any knitting (the pattern of the product will be the same). In each even row of the product, make an increase. The knitting should be on one side of the scarf, secure with a marker.
To prevent a hole from forming in this scarf model, you need to knit 2 stitches from the last loop (before the edge stitch). Grab one loop on the front wall, without removing the loops from the left knitting needle, tie another knit stitch on the back wall.

By the time 10 rows are knitted, 8 loops will have formed on the knitting needle (along with the edge loops).

Zigzag along the side of the scarf where you add the increase. This is done like this: remove the 1st loop without knitting, knit the 2nd, draw through (throw the right loop over the left one, return to left knitting needle, so it will become edge).

Cast off 3 stitches, resulting in row 11 with 5 stitches (with edge stitches).

Then the zigzag knitting technique is repeated from the 2nd to the 10th row. In the 6th - increase the 1st loop again, and then knit even rows with an increase, and odd rows without an increase. Knit another 10 rows in the same way, by the 21st - there will be 10 loops on the knitting needles (with edge stitches). In the 22nd - again knit a bactus clove using the method described above.

Repeat the technique of knitting the teeth of the product to the end of the first long side of the leg. Knit increases until the widest side of the product reaches 30 cm and its length is 1 meter. Having finished the next zigzag, start knitting the other side of the leg of the same triangle. First, form the top of the triangle using the partial knitting method.

Rows 1-2: slip the edge stitch, knit the next 2 stitches, turn the work, leaving the remaining stitches on the left needle (do not knit them). Knit 3 loops, and knit the edge loop.
3-4 rows: remove the edge, knit 3 loops, turn the knitting and knit again, as in the 2nd row.
So in each next odd row, add the 1st knitted loop. When 5 loops are knitted on the knitting needle, close, as when knitting cloves. Cast off 5 stitches, knit the next 2 stitches on the left needle, and begin the partial knitting technique again. Continue to the end of the second leg of the scarf. Cast off the last stitches and the scalloped bactus is ready.
