Synopsis of the GCD “New Year is a family holiday. Family traditions of meeting the new year What to say new year to the family

Ramsia: | December 17th, 2019 | 4:18 pm

We meet at home, make dumplings, before when we were children, our parents came up with some kind of riddles for us and we guessed them, it was fun. While the children are small, but in the future I'm thinking of continuing the tradition.

Tatiana: | December 17th, 2019 | 2:59 pm

We have a tradition of printing out the best photos of the past year and pasting them into a family album, remembering the past year.

Anna: | December 16th, 2019 | 11:04 pm

Every year the whole family makes chocolate sausage, then we give some to relatives.
After the chiming clock, we go to watch the fireworks, we leave the windows open. Upon their return, children are waiting for gifts from DM.
Cooking salads for the movie Irony of Fate ...
Christmas songs also help create the right atmosphere.
I also love to wrap gifts for my relatives.

Vlad: | December 16th, 2019 | 9:52 am

For the New Year, I give everyone new pajamas, nightgowns. At some point, the festive dinner turns into a pajama party

Lily: | December 14th, 2019 | 12:40 pm

We also decorate the Christmas tree and the house together, made wreaths, bake gingerbread cookies. This year we are moving right before the new year to a new apartment, I hope that we will have time to prepare everything. On New Year's Eve we meet either with friends or with parents and all holidays are for guests. This year they will come to us. There is a special tradition for children - from January 1, every day they look for a little surprise under the tree from the cause of frost, this year the main gifts will be on the morning of January 1 (traditionally, this is a Lego set and a Book for everyone), sweets in New Year's Sock. Adults in our country receive gifts from adults, and children receive gifts from the cause of frost. Be sure to walk in the forest during the holidays, ride cheesecakes, ice skates and meet with family and friends.
Next year I want to make Advent calendars and a gingerbread house for children, maybe my hands will reach a homemade fireplace

Tanya: | December 14th, 2019 | 12:39 pm

Before the New Year, we gather with friends and bake gingerbread, everyone takes a piece home and decorates as desired. Such a tradition appeared when the son was small, it was necessary to give some small gifts to all grandparents, and we decided to bake cookies in the shape of New Year's creatures and decorate with icing. Each set was packed in specially purchased bags and decorated with ribbons, papers with wishes (mini postcards). Plus, the child drew postcards.
They also gathered to make toys from felt and improvised materials with their own hands, made animals, angels, Christmas wreaths ...
My mother always gives us a new toy for the Christmas tree, she still has such a tradition, plus we go with the family and buy what is missing - new garlands, beautiful New Year's candles, new toys, masks and funny hats.

We always buy a live pine tree, and we start guarding the New Year's market with Christmas trees in advance, although everyone is not on the way from work, we make a detour and check whether the Christmas trees have already been brought for sale or not. We are trying to buy a pine tree right away)))) but usually they are asked to come the next day, they say, let’s at least unload them and arrange them) so we are always among the first, dragging home our “spruce-pine tree” under the envious glances of passers-by
We decorate everything together, this is also a tradition. Sweet symbols of the year have already been bought and are waiting in the wings, which can be hung on a Christmas tree. It's true that they rarely live until the 31st)

We don’t cook much, but we always decorate in a winter way, beautifully ... And we try not to repeat ourselves. We also decorate the table with beads, candles.

The aroma lamp has been working for us all December, the house smells of oranges and cinnamon, the son will cut out snowflakes and this weekend we will decorate the apartment.

And, of course, always as the first snow falls, we go to play snowballs and sledding, regardless of age. But this year we are not promised snow soon, so we will come up with other traditions.

We used to write wishlists for the next year, then it’s interesting to see what we have done… For some reason, they stopped doing that, we need to revive the tradition.

Gifts are handed out at midnight. But in the morning, the son also finds a gift from Santa Claus)

Svetlana: | December 14th, 2018 | 3:58 pm

Every year on December 31st
1. We write letters to Santa Claus with children,
2. We make dumplings (since 2017, now we take care of them in advance)
4. Last year we went to the skating rink
3. After 12.00 at night we go for a walk to mercy and launch lanterns with wishes.
4. After a walk on returning home, the children find gifts under the tree.

This year, on the 31st, from morning until lunch, we plan to make a snowman in the yard with the whole family. Or we will go to the pine forest for a walk in the mysterious silence of the forest

Natalia: | December 14th, 2018 | 12:05 pm

A very interesting article, for several years I have been wanting to introduce a tradition of buying an expensive Christmas tree toy, but I can’t make up my mind, all the same it will be glass, and there are still small children. I also liked the tradition of writing wishes for the next year, and then watching whether it came true or not.
We also have standard traditions of decorating the Christmas tree, on 30 we go to the village and on 31 we go to the bathhouse.
I didn’t see such a tradition in anyone, which came from my family, be sure to meet New Year in new underwear.

Inna: | December 14th, 2018 | 11:58 am

The game “Secret Santa Claus” has taken root in our family, for my day.r. at the end of November, a lottery is drawn, who congratulates whom. A chat is created in which each participant writes a letter to DM, the age of the participants is 5-74 g, the child ptget letter with the help of adults, but also speaks on the video (this is how a collection of letters is created) Everyone walks mysterious, smiles, decorate gifts with love and humor. Arriving at KV, we put gifts under the Christmas tree. At midnight, we all leave the room, go in one at a time, look for our name on the box. The action begins .... one by one we open the gift, everyone else applauds, the one who opens, stares at the faces and tries to guess who his DM is, so everyone opens and makes a guess. Then the second round, the DM confesses to whom he gives a gift and we check who has the same, it will be a good year!

Julia: | December 14th, 2018 | 11:41 am

And to us every night after St. Nikolay elves arrive. They put the letter and gifts in a special mailbox. Children are really looking forward to this Advent, and since October I have started buying small gifts from the elves))

Anastasia: | December 14th, 2018 | 11:37 am

Maria: | December 14th, 2018 | 9:10 am

We've been doing it for 4 years Advent calendars. Be sure to decorate the Christmas tree together. Gifts for everyone under the tree.

Xenia: | December 14th, 2018 | 8:37 am

Traditions from my childhood:
-decorate a Christmas tree
- gifts under the tree “appear” after 12))) while everyone is running fireworks to launch
- cut out snowflakes and decorate windows with them
- I draw a "newspaper" either with the symbol of the year, or with wishes, or with photographs of significant events of the outgoing year
- in December, be sure to go to the theater both by yourself and with your son
Of the ones I entered:
- advent calendar with sweets for the whole december
- I bake gingerbread and hang it with my son on the Christmas tree, then we take one at a time and eat it)))

Xenia: | December 25th, 2017 | 4:51 pm

Our traditions: we buy a big beautiful toy or with the symbol of the year; to the sound of the chimes, we write a wish on a piece of paper, burn it, throw it into a glass of champagne and drink it to the bottom. And also my personal tradition to watch “Real love” every New Year :) I really liked the tradition of giving a gift to the house

Elena: | December 18th, 2017 | 2:59 pm

We decorate the Christmas tree and dress the house together with our son, this year we made a red dog out of polymer clay, olive oil on the table is a must, and tangerines, a letter to Santa Claus, gifts under the Christmas tree.

Elena: | December 18th, 2017 | 3:22 dp

Dasha, thank you for the ideas. We are a young family, this year we will meet NG at home for the first time, we will start, as a tradition of writing a letter, eclairs with wishes, every new year, with a new beautiful Christmas tree toy, and then we will give it to the child.

Galina: | December 17th, 2017 | 11:12 pm

We had a tradition in our family - as they dressed up the Christmas tree, on the same night Santa Claus leaves gifts under the Christmas tree. The eldest believed until the age of 10, and the youngest at the age of 6 lay in wait for Santa Claus - he was very interested in how he got into the house. And mom was caught at the scene of the crime at 3:00 in the morning. But, my daughter is 40 years old, my son is 35, and they are still looking for gifts under the tree ...

Alexandra: | December 17th, 2017 | 10:27 pm

We celebrate the New Year at the dacha with a family of about 15-20 people with children.
In the yard there is already an elegant Christmas tree alive, over the past summer it has grown very well and has pubescent, just a super spruce!
Everyone brings dishes to the dacha at their discretion, having discussed in advance

Olga: | December 17th, 2017 | 6:19 pm

We decorate the Christmas tree on December 30 and. k. We have small children, and by the evening the tree is almost empty. Every New Year with my parents at our house.

Julia: | December 17th, 2017 | 6:12 pm

Be sure to decorate the Christmas tree with the children. We buy live pine every year. We cut out snowflakes with children and decorate windows. Bought a third ball this year handmade for the youngest son. Now they each have their own. I try to add to my collection every year. Christmas decorations.
For the New Year's table I try to cook something new. We try to have dinner at 8-9 o'clock, and at midnight we have champagne and delicious tartlets.

Zoya: | December 17th, 2017 | 2:25 pm

We celebrate the New Year at home with the whole family. There is a decorated Christmas tree in the yard and the house itself is also decorated. Gifts for adults are under the tree, but you can’t look at them until 24.00. For kids, Santa Claus brings gifts under the Christmas tree on the street and leaves them in a bag. They see all this through the window, then they run for gifts. We are writing a letter to Santa Claus before NG. Mandatory photo shoot for every New Year

Margarita: | December 16th, 2017 | 9:45 pm

Every year we always get into the car at 9-10 pm and drive around all the big Christmas trees in the city, the children ride the slides, and by 12 o'clock we return home. The table is set in advance and after such a walk the mood is the most New Year's. We buy every year new toy on the tree And of course gifts are waiting for everyone under the tree.

Anastasia: | December 16th, 2017 | 9:09 pm

Daria, thank you very much for the marathon! Thanks to him, the New Year mood appears already in early December. So many cool ideas!
1. We always decorate the Christmas tree with the whole family.
2. On New Year's Eve, we hide gifts for the whole family under the Christmas tree.
3. Cooking goose, Russian salad, cheese salad.
4. At the table we read New Year's predictions.
5. In the first days of January, we go to the cartoon with our family, often it was the Three Bogatyrs.
6. Thanks to Dasha, they started a new tradition: baking gingerbread and making homemade sweets and chocolate sausage.

Elena: | December 16th, 2017 | 4:40 pm

Every year we decorated the pine tree with real sweets and tangerines) And this year, on your advice, we started writing letters to Santa Claus) Since my eye is only 9 months old, we dipped her palms in Finger paint and left prints on the letter to Santa Claus) So everyone wrote the letter!)

Tatiana: | December 16th, 2017 | 3:48 pm

1. The tree must be real
2. We celebrate at home, invite the most relatives.
3. Olivier, red caviar and champagne.
4. I bake stained glass gingerbread cookies.
5. 1st kebabs, and 2nd hodgepodge)
6. new tradition- draw board game on New Year's theme) Let's play)

Olga: | December 16th, 2017 | 12:22 pm

Our family is young, the child is small, so the traditions are also young:
- we always decorate the Christmas tree all together
- for the coming year we give relatives calendars with common photos
- on New Year's Eve, we write the most cherished wishes for the next year and hang them on the Christmas tree, and then put them in a box with Christmas decorations until next year. Almost everything comes true 😜
- We have slightly altered the tradition with a piggy bank. All year we put the change in the piggy bank, and at the end of the year we transfer the accumulated amount to a special account, where we save money for the construction of our house)))

Olga: | December 16th, 2017 | 11:02 am

Hello, thanks for the marathon! Creates a Christmas mood. And we make dumplings. We invite guests - all relatives. 10-12 people are recruited. We knead the dough, prepare minced meat and sit down to sculpt. Children run, scream, dress up in costumes. Turmoil, laughter, noise, and adults are sculpting. Children periodically connect to the modeling, this creates even more turmoil. Flour flies in all directions, laughter. Then we cook and eat everything!

Irina: | December 16th, 2017 | 10:35 am

I am very glad that I decided to participate in the marathon! Thank you very much!!! So many ideas, so many positives! Unfortunately, I don’t always have time to do all the tasks, but I try. Today we will cut snowflakes and decorate windows as a family. Christmas tree always decorate together, it's fun and very cool.

Ludmila: | December 28th, 2016 | 11:55 am

Thank you, Dasha, for the marathon! Everything is somehow done by itself. Everything is washed, cleaned, dressed up, bought. It remains only to prepare and celebrate the New Year. We have a tradition - always a live Christmas tree (only we sell pine trees, but it doesn’t matter). And be sure to have a lot of gifts under the Christmas tree with verses-wishes. We open them after 12. We open, we measure, we boast. Last year, they wrote down 12 wishes and hid them. On New Year's Eve we will open, we will read what has come true And again next year we will write down wishes.

Tatiana: | December 23rd, 2016 | 11:30 am

We, as in the famous film, go to the bathhouse on December 31. I cook Olivier and definitely a herring under a fur coat. We also fry barbecue, but it depends on the weather, when severe frosts or snowstorms have to cook meat in the oven. On December 31, we also definitely watch the Irony of Fate and, of course, we decorate the Christmas tree, although this year it will probably not always be real, it will probably be artificial. Well, that’s all, you need to choose something else from the article, traditions are great.

Ludmila: | December 23rd, 2016 | 7:33 dp

Daria, thank you very much for the marathon. I enjoy reading your suggestions and assignments. It creates a mood. I want to tell you about one tradition, maybe those who have small children will like it. The son was about three years when we celebrated the New Year in a new apartment. We had a real big Christmas tree for the first time. Thanks to the grandmothers, the son already knew what sweets were and could eat everything he was given in one sitting. And here at work, both my husband and I have gifts for my son. Giving him a gift is scary. I came up with this game. When the Christmas tree was dressed up, I said that it was magical and sweets grew on it. In the morning, the son always ran to the Christmas tree and looked for candy. And they grew up (one or two). If the son did not want to sleep, then I explained that if he did not sleep, then the sweets would not grow. Somehow, when my son had already grown up, I decided that it was not necessary to hang sweets. But the son, supporting the game, asked why, they say, sweets do not grow on the Christmas tree? This was the last year they grew up. Maybe they will start growing again when grandchildren appear

Marina: | December 23rd, 2016 | 12:32 am

must-have gifts under the tree that appear at midnight. Loved the idea of a sweet treasure and a happy dumpling. I do this with a pie - a coin for wealth and a bean for happiness)))

Elena: | December 22nd, 2016 | 10:51 am

Thanks everyone for the new ideas. In our childhood, they put a pine tree (they don’t grow there), and now the tradition has begun to put a pine tree instead of a spruce tree (and the aroma is stronger and the needles don’t crumble and pleasant memories of childhood. traditional goose, Olivier and, most importantly, home-made sweets from cookies and waffles with some kind of truffles , with beetroot juice - strawberries and sausage made from cookies with nuts, condensed milk and sweet butter: my sons (already having their own children) were completely delighted, it was their childhood, and gifts for the grandchildren under the Christmas tree

Julia: | December 22nd, 2016 | 10:08 am

We order sushi for the new year so as not to cook at all) we buy a new toy every year, on the 1st we go to my mother, where Olivier is waiting for us (including lean). On the 2nd, we walk all day. And during the holidays, be sure to go up the hill and admire the beautiful Moscow. Well, meeting with friends.

Olga S: | December 29th, 2015 | 10:43 am

It has already become a tradition for me to participate in the flash mob “New Year without a stove”
Another family tradition from my childhood passed into my new family - to put gifts under the Christmas tree and unwrap them on the morning of January 1st.
This year, she started the tradition of making Advent for children, so far only for her son, because. daughter is still young. I write him letters with tasks from Santa Claus. And so that he would be interested in the letter, I replace some words with pictures and then I read the text, and he pronounces the words encrypted by the picture.

Gulmira: | December 29th, 2015 | 6:14 dp

what good ideas! We have a tradition to celebrate the New Year with a lot of fun! There is a tradition where we pull out wishes for ng, also a tradition of the arrival of Santa Claus with gifts, letters!

Asya: | December 28th, 2015 | 1:14 pm

What a lot of great ideas!!!
We haven’t developed any traditions yet)) As a child, we always decorated the Christmas tree all together, we always hung sweets, found gifts under the Christmas tree)) And always at home, as I remember.
I really want to establish my own traditions now! Decorate a Christmas tree (and always with sweets too), celebrate at home, write a letter to Santa Claus, New Year's dishes, family viewing of New Year's films, a family photo, make a collection of Christmas decorations, cut snowflakes for neighbors, make a box for good deeds and joyful events - I really liked these ideas! Thanks everyone!

2. For 2 new years we have been playing predictions. Printed cards with predictions: real and comic. Everyone pulls out several cards in a circle. It turned out to be a very entertaining and funny activity :-) And a year later we check what came true.
3. We make wishes, write them down and seal them in an envelope. We'll see in a year.
4. I make native calendars for the next year with a photo of the past year.
5. On January 2 or 3, we go to the premiere of the cartoon with the whole family.
6. We open the piggy bank that our grandfather collects all year round. Divided by 3 grandchildren. They then squander :-)
7. On January 2, we also go to the city Christmas tree with the whole family.
8. We watch Lord of the Rings every year and Christmas movies every night during the holidays.
9. Every year I make hand-made toys and decor
I really want a family photo shoot every year in the snow, but we don’t have snow on NG :-(

Julia: | December 26th, 2014 | 11:29 am

We have traditions: for all my relatives, I make a photo book for the past year with children's photographs. Let's decorate the tree together. Photo together - somehow it didn’t really take root, although I would like to
I want this year: a photo by the Christmas tree, a photo session in outfits, a theater
Everything was bought for the photo session, for the theater (shadow) I found a script, only one hero and decorations were left to cut and make a screen.

Oksana: | December 26th, 2014 | 11:12 am

and we buy a box with kinder surprises on NG and after the chiming clock, the kinder snapping and opening begins, we look at what fell out there, put it somewhere on a shelf and then see if it came true)) such fortune-telling on kinders))

With the coming!!!

Marina: | December 26th, 2014 | 11:11 am

On January 1, we open a piggy bank, where we put 10 ruble coins all year long and use them to buy a home gift. For several years now, I have been preparing for the holiday with a marathon. For the first time I decorate the house on a large scale, today, for example, I painted the windows. The menu is also traditional and we always celebrate the holiday with the family at home.

Elena: | December 26th, 2014 | 7:16 dp

Every year we make paper snowflakes on the windows all together (although dad prefers to watch from the side, but sits with us). And we update the outfit of the Christmas tree homemade toys. And we meet as it will turn out - it is not always possible to bring everyone together on New Year's Eve.

Valentine: | December 26th, 2014 | 6:50 am

I propose these 5 simple New Year traditions: I want to propose these New Year traditions:

– family collection of Christmas decorations
- a bank with a year's supply of positive
- farewell to the old year
- New Year's collection of magazines
– annual photo

Elena: | December 25th, 2013 | 8:11 pm

1. We celebrate every New Year only at home.
2 We decorate the Christmas tree on December 30 and only with animals and people. We already have big collection. Bought some horses this year.
3. We also decorate the whole apartment.
4. On January 1, we go to visit our mother-in-law with our whole family.
5. A photo shoot is a must every New Year.

Sairan: | December 25th, 2013 | 5:23 dp

one good tradition - for each new year we buy one new book on New Year theme and read to the whole family.

Elena: | December 31st, 2012 | 4:59 pm

we decorate the Christmas tree, although for the last three years it has not been real, but it has always been up to the ceiling, we decorate the house. gifts under the tree.

Olga: | December 29th, 2012 | 10:39 am

We decorated the Christmas tree, now we’ll just decorate the house, we’re doing a snowflake contest, now it’s more difficult than older parents the harder it is for them to become children. we open the door for the New Year under the chimes, and then who will be the first to find their gift under the tree. New will be games with children, since children have just appeared.

Olga.I: | December 27th, 2012 | 6:28 pm

This year they tried to introduce a tradition - to glue gingerbread houses with children. It went off with a bang!!! We do not live in Russia and gifts have to be given when all the children here receive them. New Year, of course, we also celebrate! So, the day before, before the arrival of Santa Claus, we had a small family dinner, and for dessert - decoration gingerbread houses!!! Imagine - the whole family, without exception, took part! I didn't expect it to be so exciting and fun and delicious! All preparatory work I kept it to a minimum - blanks of houses and white marzipan were smoked at IKEA. The day before X hour, a dress rehearsal was held with one of the daughters)))) - I glued the walls and roofs, and she dyed the marzipan red and green colors. We made white chocolate as “cement” for gingerbread - the easiest option. A piece of chocolate is placed in the bag, then all this is in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, then a tiny corner is cut off from the bag - and you can glue it !!! Fast and delicious!!!

Olga: | December 27th, 2012 | 9:09 am

Every year in our family
1) we buy a new toy, the one that the daughter chooses,
2) the whole family decorate the Christmas tree and decorate the house,
3) we write a letter to Santa Claus and send it by paper plane from the bridge of lovers
4) We make dumplings, we wrap cabbage or potatoes in one instead of meat, this dumpling is happy, and the one who gets it too !!!
5) Send postcards to family and friends
6) we organize a walk with a slide, and ice skating
7) We watch the congratulations of the president, open champagne, watch the fireworks in the yard
8) After that, we return home, and there gifts are already waiting under the tree.
9) and also our dad hangs gullivers on the Christmas tree, in which banknotes of different denominations are previously hidden, whoever cuts which one will get 100, 500 or 1000 (the most important prize) rubles.
Our parents did a lot, and we continue their good traditions, some we brought ourselves.

Answer: Thanks! I especially liked the gullivers :)

Anna: | December 27th, 2012 | 8:31 am

Together we decorate the Christmas tree and decorate the house. Under the Christmas tree on the night of January 1, everyone finds gifts. New Year's table and splashes of champagne under the chiming clock - this goes without saying. Fireworks on the street. I want to add notes with desires.

Catherine: | December 27th, 2012 | 7:20 am

Our family is still new - only 2 new years we meet together. There were no special traditions in my family, and neither did my husband. And I really want to have something like my family, I think it's time to start. Here they dressed the Christmas tree together and decorated the apartment.
My girlfriend has a tradition, early in the morning on December 31, they gather with their whole family with friends in the forest near a living Christmas tree, decorate it and celebrate the new year, see off the old one.

Maria: | December 27th, 2012 | 6:30 am

And for now, we are only decorating the Christmas tree, but always alive, so that there is a smell of the New Year.
I also want to make an album where every year I will make handprints of my daughters (the oldest is 2.9 years old, the youngest is 3 months old). It will be interesting to see how they grow in a year.
nothing new came to mind.

For many, the New Year is associated with Russian salad, "Irony of Fate", fireworks and a smart Christmas tree. However, the most beautiful thing about this holiday is that it is at this time that you can get together with the whole family and spend the outgoing year together.

"Letidor" has compiled a list of five reasons why the New Year is the best family celebration, and hardly anyone will be able to argue with us!

New Year brings people of different religions together

It doesn't matter who you believe in and what your religious preferences are - it doesn't matter at all on New Year's Day. After all, this holiday has no connection to any belief.

People of all religions are happy to see off the outgoing year and meet the new one with hopes for a brighter future.

On New Year's Eve the whole family gets together

Family is the most important thing in the world. And when all our loved ones are assembled, they sit at common table smile, joke and laugh, then we are really happy.

Nothing can replace your mom's concern about which salad you'd like to try. interesting stories sisters, affectionate hands of her husband and funny antics of children.

On New Year's Eve, you can get everything at once, you just have to get together and cook as many delicious treats as possible!

And you can also dance, hug and believe in a miracle. And also - all together.

In the New Year, you can remember all the good and let go of the bad

When you are in last time sat down and looked through a family album with old photos? Holiday night is a great opportunity for this.

After a fun feast, take out your photos, look for old videos and immerse the whole family in memories of the past year.

We are sure that you will have something to remember and something to laugh at!

This is a holiday when you can make plans for the future.

New Year is a family holiday and each family has its own rituals that make it special. They create a mood and truly unite us.

Today website collected stories about the traditions that fill the holiday with miracles of comfort and warmth.

  • On the last Saturday before the New Year, dad always goes to get the Christmas tree, and we all wait for him and unpack the toys that have been languishing on the mezzanine all year.
  • When everyone gathers at the New Year's table, we always say some kind of compliment to each other. Last year, the most original of them was from my sister: she said that I have the most beautiful ears in the family.
  • And here it is customary for us: who does not cook Olivier, he does not eat it. Therefore, on December 31, the whole family spends in the kitchen in unison, cuts salads and immediately eats half.
  • Every year we buy new Christmas ball. The oldest has survived 54 Christmas trees - it was bought by grandfather in the first year after the wedding with his grandmother.
  • On New Year's Eve we make dumplings. Everytime. Hundred. Three generations. And, when someone starts to grumble, they say, it is much easier to buy them, the grandmother says that the soul of the holiday is in dumplings. And you can't buy a soul.
  • We have such a tradition: on pieces of paper, everyone writes some kind of prediction - for example, “there will be a big purchase” or “you will learn something unexpected about your soul mate”, - then the pieces of paper are folded and put in a box. Everyone takes turns pulling out, everyone looks at what they got, folds again, writes their name. They put it back into this magic box, and a year later they pull it out and check whether it came true or not. And you know what? Almost everything comes true.

  • As a child, every year my mother collected sweet gifts with all sorts of goodies for my brother and me. We have not lived with our parents for a long time. Recently, my mother called and said that gifts were waiting for us under their Christmas tree. And at the age of 26 I rushed to pick up a bag of sweets.
  • We live in a small town and we always try to visit all our friends on New Year's Eve - at least for a couple of minutes to drop by and congratulate. So no one feels lonely on holiday.
  • When I was little, every year my mother and I made one toy for the Christmas tree with our own hands. IN adolescence I thought: “Well, what kind of nonsense is this, why does she hang them all the time, it would be better if they bought normal balls.” And yesterday, together with my three-year-old son, for the first time we made a toy for our Christmas tree, and this little clumsy sheep made of cones and colored paper seems to me the most beautiful toy in the world.
  • Probably funny, but we still review The Irony of Fate every year. Without it, the New Year is not new at all.
  • And we do not buy a live Christmas tree for the New Year - we put an artificial one. We have a big one, and dad always collects it. And the youngest member of the family, my nephew, hangs the first toy. Dad picks him up and he puts a golden star on the top of the tree.
  • I don’t know where it came from, but we do this: you throw a piece of chocolate into a New Year’s glass of champagne and look. If he surfaced, the year will be good, if he drowned - so-so. So, if you throw a not very large and fairly flat piece - in any case, wait for a good year. No surprises. Checked.
  • Three weeks before the holiday, we begin to do a countdown - we hang a special calendar on the refrigerator, which says "There are ... days left before the New Year." You really feel like you're getting closer to him.
  • We in the family always set fire to a piece of paper with a desire to the chimes, fill the ashes with champagne and drink. This year, for the first time, he brought my girlfriend to celebrate with us. She looked at us big eyes and then she told me that, in fact, you can make a wish without burnt pulp. In general, you will have to somehow instill in her a love of romance.
  • We send to friends and family New Year cards. Everyone says: Internet, telephone, why is it needed at all? But the sensations from a “live”, real postcard are not at all the same as from a picture on the Internet. You take it out of the mailbox, read the wishes written by hand, and as if you feel a little warmer.
  • I always celebrate the New Year in the family. Friends, colleagues - it's all before or after. But on the night of the 1st - only at home. Olivier, tangerines and, of course, my mother's signature raspberry pie.
  • We have a special New Year's service - large, elegant, very beautiful. For me, it symbolizes the holiday better than all Christmas trees and salads.
  • Since we started our little family, we have been celebrating with my husband and cat. But the next day we will definitely go to our parents for last year's salads, I call this "for the finishers." And the husband says that we are with him - annoying and we need to give our parents a good night's sleep. But, no, no, I will not cancel this tradition for anything.
  • Every year we arrange a family New Year's photo shoot - we get together, take pictures near the Christmas tree. I've already got a whole album: it's interesting to see how everyone changes, but still stay together.
  • When the tree is decorated, we gather around it with the whole family, we say “Christmas tree, burn!” and turn on the garland. From now on, we are ready to celebrate the New Year.

Celebrate the New Year with your family at home - yours best idea for the coming holiday. A joint celebration, no doubt, will bring that same warmth to relationships in your little home world. In addition, the coming year is the best time for change. New Year's Eve with the family will be surrounded by a fairy tale, and for this you will not need to spend a lot of effort.

Start, for example, with the surroundings. It is impossible to imagine a holiday without the spicy aroma of mulled wine, the delicate smell of pine needles, the impatient hiss of champagne in elegant glasses ... The second important point- present. Let them be made from the heart. Don't buy things you're not sure about. The third component of success, if you decide to spend the New Year at home with friends, is the image. Take care of the aesthetics in detail: let the reflection in the mirror be a happy revelation for you. And of course, the entertainment part of the evening. In this review, we have selected for you a number of games that will delight all family members, regardless of age.

1. "What's in the box?"

All participants sit in a circle. The main object that needs to be prepared for the game in advance is a beautifully decorated box with all sorts of things: funny items of clothing and accessories (large flowered family briefs, a Papuan bag skirt, funny glasses with a nose, etc.). The box to the music is passed in a circle. Whoever has it in their hands, when the music stops, will have to pull out their “fashionable little thing” and walk around in it all evening, amusing the guests.

2. "Apple"

The competition is ideal for holiday guests of all ages. Guests stand in a circle, tightly pressing their shoulders and sides to each other. The leader in the center of the circle watches the participants, and they, in turn, pass an apple behind their backs. For the entourage, you can turn on the music. When she stops, you need to ask the host: “Who has the apple now?” If he guessed wrong, the process continues. And if you guessed right, the presenter and the one who had the apple change places.

3. "Fairy tale"

A calm but extremely funny game that is perfect for New Year's Eve or any family evening. The essence of the competition is to compose a fairy tale. The facilitator can set the topic and the main characters, and the participants in turn must write several sentences on a piece of paper that develop the plot of the story. Each new sentence is folded so that it is not seen by the subsequent narrator. After everyone has contributed (even several times, if there are few people), the leaf is unfolded and read aloud what happened. As a rule, incredibly funny fairy tales come out.

4. "Wish"

Very good family game new year holidays. Participants sit in a circle (it is possible at the table), and each in turn (clockwise) tells the neighbor on the left some pleasant or funny wishes for the next year.

It is better to seat the participants so that the children sit next to the grandparents, and the spouses sit in different places. In the wishes, you can take into account the profession or type of activity of the addressee, so that the wishes are relevant and funny.

5. Caterpillar

A mobile game for a large company. The caterpillar is all participants who hold each other by the belt and squat down. The host announces what the caterpillar should do: “The caterpillar woke up, stretched, went to eat, dances, climbs a tree (sofa, stairs) ...”

In order for the caterpillar to be good at following commands, it is important to act in a coordinated manner and listen to each other. Therefore, to add a spark to the game, the caterpillar must have a naughty tail that interferes with everyone. Usually the youngest in the family is appointed to this role.

6. “In a large family, they don’t click their beaks”

The game is a synthesis of the "Box" and the competition with chairs. You will need all sorts of funny New Year's attributes, which will be one less than the participants. All items are laid out on the table, music begins to play, the participants dance. When the music stops, players must run to the table as quickly as possible, grab one attribute, and put it on. Those who did not have enough things are eliminated from the game, taking with them any of the items.

Previously, families in Russia were large, friendly, hardworking. There were 10, 20 or more people in the family. This house was a real fortress. Home and family were spoken of with great respect. Since ancient times, it was believed that a child should not just grow like a tree or grass. He was brought up through the word, movement, introduced into the world of rules and traditions.

From infancy, the child fell asleep to a lullaby, which not only put him to sleep - she told him something about the world, about his kindness. Not understanding the meaning of the songs, the child caught her mood and felt peace and protection.

Each family has its own way of attracting little ones to common family traditions.
