How to make a crown out of paper. DIY paper crown. Cardboard crown: manufacturing process

Theatrical performances in schools and kindergartens include the hand-made production of one or another costume. What to do if your child has the honor of playing the role of a prince or princess? Of course, choose the appropriate outfit. In order not to spend a lot of effort on making such important element costume, like a crown, you can take paper and build a royal headdress in an hour. How to make a paper crown with your own hands will be shown in the presented master class with step by step description work.

Quick option

The most in a simple way To create your intended accessory is to search for a ready-made template and then print it out on a printer. Then it’s a matter of technique: the pattern is cut out, applied to colored paper and outlined. The blank needs to be cut out, the sides glued together and the hat elastic attached.

The crown is ready. When you have a couple of hours left, you can add on front side decorative items.

If you have absolutely nothing at hand except paper, you really have time to color the product with felt-tip pens or paints.

Gold frame

The version of a paper crown does not necessarily imply a very simple product. It is enough to stock up on gold-colored paper and you can create a good accessory for the prince.

You need to prepare:

  • gold-colored paper;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • glue.

The paper is cut into small squares.

It should be borne in mind that a square folded diagonally will form the top of the crown, so you need to decide on the size of the blanks at this stage. Each square is folded diagonally to form double triangles with a connected base. A single strip should be created from the blanks.

For the center of the crown, you need to take one triangle and coat the corners of its base with glue. On both sides, the corners are inserted inside the other two triangles. Thus, the tops of the crown overlap.

The extreme triangle is inserted into the workpiece from the other end of the strip and glued. There are two ways to combine triangles: either by creating the entire crown using the same method as its central part, or by sequentially nesting each piece into the next. In any case, the crown looks interesting and will suit both boys and girls.

A paper crown can become a masterpiece of art if made using the quilling technique.

Paper lace

Working on such a product is quite labor-intensive, but the result will exceed all expectations.

To perform a fantasy crown, you need to prepare:

  • paper of three colors (white, blue, lilac);
  • glue;
  • stationery knife;
  • toothpick

Before starting work, it is advisable to make a product template. The diagram is needed to understand where and what element is supposed to be used. It is drawn by hand. Sheets of paper are cut into strips 5 mm wide. The length of each strip should be 21 cm.

The first row of the crown has details in the form of circles.

They are made by twisting a strip onto a toothpick. The resulting tube unravels slightly, and the free end of the paper is fixed with glue. For the base of the crown, 18 similar elements should be created. The circles are glued together into a single line. The second row contains diamond-shaped details. Diamonds are made in the same way as circles, but at the moment the tube opens, you should press the circle with your fingers on both sides, forming a diamond. The tip of the strip is also glued.

Diamonds are glued between the circles. The third line of the crown consists entirely of circles that are fixed between the diamonds. Don't forget about alternating paper colors. This crown contains a main central detail in the form of a snowflake. It needs to be made separately.

Before forming this element, teardrop-shaped blanks should be made. They are created by the usual twisting on a toothpick.

While the strip is slowly unraveling, you need to gently press the circle on both sides. Glue the paper tip. For a snowflake you will need 12 drops different color and 7 diamonds. The elements are glued together, as shown in the photo.

The snowflake is carefully fixed to the base of the crown using glue.

To complete the pattern, all that remains is to add additional diamonds around the snowflake.

The product is turned over on the back side and thoroughly coated with glue.

The crown is left to dry.

It is important to know! To make the accessory hold its shape better, you can spray it with hairspray.

Our beautiful crown is ready!

A DIY crown can be made for a girl or a boy for any occasion.

Sometimes you don't even need a holiday to have a fun event. Crowns are also relevant during photo shoots.

They are easy to make, just use the right materials that are available to everyone.

Every girl wants to be a queen, a snowflake or a princess at the holiday. Many characters fail to make an impression without an additional accessory such as a crown.

DIY foil crown

In order to make a crown from foil, it is enough to have, in fact, only foil.

You can make an accessory using wire - then it will hold its shape better and will not tear as quickly as would be the case with simple foil.

However, if there is no wire, perform the following set of actions:

  • cut the roll of foil into equal strips. It is better to cut the strips horizontally, along the long side. It is better if they are about a meter long;
  • Place several strips on top of each other, and then start twisting them together. This should be done so that the protruding edges of each layer of foil are not visible. It is better if twisted in the shape of a slight roundness, but it is important to remember that such a crown may become wrinkled during use;
  • may include not only the presence of a crown, but also other attributes, such as a magic wand, so you can make different stars, flowers, and cut out interesting figures from the leftover foil;
  • When the DIY foil crown ring is ready, you need to fasten the two edges of the foil in the shape of a circle. It is better to do this with PVA glue - unlike paper clips and a stapler, it will not become an additional burden that breaks the fragile structure of the foil;
  • Now we begin to attach arcs and interesting curls, which are twisted in the same way. You need to attach them first to the circle, and then to each other. Fantasy can be expressed in different ways.

If you are ready to use the wire, you can pre-bend and cut it.

A foil crown will hold its shape better, not sag, and will last longer.

Foil should be tightly wrapped in one row along the entire length of the wire, and then in a more relaxed manner, create a voluminous surface for the product, if this is the main goal.

A tightly wrapped foil crown in several layers will last longer.

Tip: Straighten the wire thoroughly. This can be done using durable objects and even around furniture. If your table leg is rounded, you can draw a wire around it and apply force to level the surface. True, you need to put something under the product so that the furniture does not deteriorate.

DIY crown made from a plastic bottle

Working on this product will be more labor-intensive, but the result will be beautiful and original.

The main thing is that such a crown can be used for more than one year, and anyone can match it.

To create a crown from a bottle you will need the following materials:

  • large beads, rhinestones, various shiny small decorations, colored sand;
  • plastic bottle with a large diameter corresponding to the size of the child’s head;
  • scotch;
  • paper;
  • nail polish.

As for the varnish, you can choose one of the options: take a colorless coating that will be applied to colored sand, and the sand itself, in turn, to the surface of the crown coated with glue, or use the option of applying a ready-made colored varnish with glitter.

Ideal choice- nail shimmer. It’s just that one jar of such varnish will be wasted, since it will need to be applied in at least three layers, generously and thickly.

How to make a crown with your own hands from a bottle:

  • first we take the prepared bottle and cut out approximately in its center a section corresponding to the width of the crown;
  • take a sheet plain paper and glue it with tape along the edges around the cut section of the bottle;
  • on a piece of paper draw the top outline of the crown. If you want to make holes inside the decoration, you need to provide them too;
  • cut out the product along the drawn lines;
  • remove the paper;
  • decorate the bottle crown with varnish.

You can make a frame from beautiful threads, openwork stripes and shiny beads.

However, it is recommended to apply at least one layer of varnish before decorating. different elements crown so that its color is even and without white reflections.

For the crown, you can make an original magic wand in similar colors.

The main advantage of using plastic is that there is no need to make the product in one piece.

You can make a cut in the center of the accessory at the back - this will make it possible to use the crown not only for children, but also for adults, adjusting the size.

You just need to be extremely careful, because during bending and unbending, the glitter can crumble, peeling off from the surface of the crown.

A crown for a boy may be relevant on New Year for a Prince or King costume.

Making such a crown is very simple, for this you need:

  • 5 red and 5 smaller triangular modules;

First we need to make triangular modules. It's easy to do.

Take the paper and fold it in half and cut it.

Then fold it in half again and cut it. It turns out 4 identical square sheets.

Take a sheet and fold it in half (lengthwise).

Then fold it into a small square.

We unfold the square and make a triangle along the fold (as if you were making an airplane).

We bend the edges of the airplane into a triangle.

Fold the resulting triangle in half.

With smaller modules, you should do exactly the same, only at the initial stage make 32 small squares from a large A4 sheet (fold several times and cut).

Our DIY crown for the boy will consist of such modules.

We glue large modules (triangles) together to form a crown.

You can make rubies and emeralds from small modules (by bending the triangle in half, with the cut side up).
