  • - threads;
  • - needle;
  • - synthetic winterizer or cotton wool for stuffing;
  • - 2 black buttons.

Instruction

  1. To sew tiger, you will need fur, fleece or orange-and-black striped drape. If you can't find a suitable fabric color, sew a toy from any other, because a toy tiger can be anything you want: yellow, purple, checkered or flowered. The main thing is to convey his character.
  2. Make a full size pattern. Print it on a printer and cut out the details. Take patterns of various tigers on this site http://god-tigra-2010.narod.ru/tigr9.html.
  3. Arrange the details on wrong side material and circle them with crayon or pencil. With sharp scissors or a blade, cut out the details, being careful not to damage the pile.
  4. Sew all the details with a buttonhole seam by hand, and if the toy is pretty big size, then they can be sewn on a typewriter.
  5. First sew the darts on the head tiger. Fold the head pieces right sides in and sew, leaving an opening for stuffing the head. Turn the piece right side out and stuff with stuffing.
  6. Align the details of the abdomen with the details of the back and sew with a buttonhole seam, turn it on the front side, sew the middle line of the abdomen. Stuff the paws with filler. Sew a cut along the back and stuff. Sew the head to the body with blind stitches.
  7. Fold the details of the ears together, sew and turn inside out. Sew them to your head. Eyes tiger embroider or sew on black buttons. From pieces of white fur, cut out small mugs for underwear. Sew them with blind stitches and lightly stuff them. Make a mustache from the fishing line. Embroider the nose and mouth.
  8. Sew a tail from a strip of fur and sew it to the body. The tiger is ready.
  9. To make the toy more original, and it would be more interesting for children to play it, sew from felt (its edges do not crumble, so they can not be processed) clothes for the tiger, for example, a bright vest. To do this, cut out a rectangle equal to the circumference of the toy's chest. Fold it over to make a slit in the middle. Cut out small openings for the armholes on the sides and sew up the shoulder seams.

Let's sew a charming tiger cub with our own hands!

The peculiarity of this soft toy is that the paws of the tiger cub are stretched and can tightly hug and hold a gift (photo 1, 5). But such a cute animal, of course, can also serve as an independent gift.
Surprise your loved one with this souvenir!

You will need

  • brindle and white fur
  • synthetic winterizer
  • black jersey
  • artificial eyes
  • Velcro white
  • white, black and orange threads
  • elastic
  • scissors
  • needles

Cut out the necessary details

1) head - 2 pieces of striped fur;
2) ears - 4 pieces of striped fur;
3) muzzle - 1 piece of white fur;
4) lower lip and nose - 1 piece of white fur, 1 piece of black jersey;
5) paws - 2 pieces of striped fur;
6) front paws (palms) - 4 parts made of white fur;
7) hind legs (feet) - 2 parts each from white and striped fur;
8) torso - 2 details of striped fur;
9) tail - 1 piece of striped fur.

Lay out the patterns on the fabric and cut out all the details.

Make sure that the stripes on all parts are horizontal, not vertical.

We sew

So let's get started!

All parts should be sewn with a seam “over the edge” (or you can grind it on a typewriter).

  • Fold the two pieces of the ears with the right side and sew along a curved line, leaving a straight piece unsewn. Turn out.
  • Fold the two parts of the head with the right side and put the ears inward at the top of the head at the same distance from the midline. Sew, leaving the opening at the neck unsewn.
  • Turn your head right side out and, stuffing it with padding polyester, pull the hole left over with a seam “over the edge”.
  • Pull the oval of white fur with a seam “over the edge”, stuff it with a padding polyester, make a constriction in the middle with black threads - you get a muzzle that looks like a fat eight. In the same way, sew the lower lip and nose and sew them to the muzzle, and her to the head.
  • Fold the two halves of the body with the front side and sew, leaving the opening in the neck area unsewn. Turn inside out, stuff the body with padding polyester and pull the hole with a seam “over the edge”.
  • To make paws, fold all rectangles in half along the larger side, sew, turn right side out. Bend each pair of paws in half and sew to the body: one to the neck, the second to the bottom.
  • Fold the white and striped parts of the foot in pairs with the front side, sew, turn on the front side through the incision on the striped part of the foot, stuff with padding polyester. Then pull the stuffing over with a seam “over the edge” and sew it to the paws of the tiger. With black thread, make three constrictions on the front of the paws. The hind legs are ready.
  • Sew a piece of Velcro to the white palms, then fold the details of the palms in pairs with the right side, sew, turn right side out, stuff with padding polyester, pull the seam “over the edge” and sew to the paws.
  • Before sewing on the palms, insert an elastic band into the paws and secure. The length of the gum depends on its elasticity: a soft gum will need 2 times more than a hard one, since the first one will need to be folded in half (the paws of the tiger cub will stretch)
  • With black thread, make three constrictions on each paw. The front paws are ready.
  • Sew the head to the body.
  • Fold the tail in half, sew, turn right side out, pull the hole with a seam “over the edge” and sew to the body.
  • Make a mustache from black thread or fishing line.
  • Glue your eyes.
  • Tiger cub is ready!
  • Leave the ears, paws and tail empty inside, do not stuff with padding polyester.
  • You can tie a tie around the tiger cub's neck or sew on a lace jabot.
  • If Velcro is sewn not only on the inside, but also on the outside of the paws, they can be connected both with palms (butt), and one on top of the other (overlap).
  • A tiger cub can hold or hug a bottle of juice, a gift box, a can of coffee, etc. – Elastic band in the front paws allows you to fix the object the way you want!
