What to take with you to the forest. We are going on a hike: what to take? Travel tips. How to plan a hike so you don't forget your hiking gear

In this article I would like to talk about how to assemble your own survival kit. We will consider only the very basic necessities, without which in no case should you go on a long hike. Also, such a kit will come in handy, even if you do not plan long outings in nature - situations are different, wherever you go - into the forest, into the mountains or going rafting, it is extremely risky to go without a survival kit.

Beginners always have questions about what to take with them on a hike and what not, many people take a lot of extra and completely unnecessary things with them, but if the hike is on foot, you need to carry it all on yourself. Recently, light-moving tourism has been gaining popularity, the whole point of which is just to take as few things as possible with you, light-walkers lighten their backpacks in every possible way, use modern universal equipment, the lightness of which lies in the uniqueness of the materials from which this equipment is made.

Therefore, the purpose of our article is to show what you really need to take with you on the road, and what is better to leave at home.

Survival kit - only the essentials

So, the essentials.

1. Means for kindling a fire - matches, lighter, flint, dry fuel

This is what you will make a fire with. It is better to use not ordinary, but hunting matches, and it is even better to have a flint and steel with you, with it you will always be able to make a fire in any weather. About, .

2. Knife - without it there is nothing to do on a hike

With the help of a knife, you will do a lot of useful things - open canned food, with it you can cut something somewhere, butcher a dead animal, and you can’t do without it when cooking dinner. , you decide, the main thing is that it be comfortable, sharp enough and reliable. Of course, it would be nice to have a good hunting knife made of good steel - Damascus or damask steel, but from experience I will say that a knife with a hardness of 50 HRC on the hardness scale is perfect. In principle, now you can buy an excellent knife within 1000 rubles, or, at worst, take at least an ordinary kitchen knife.

3. Kitchen utensils

You can't go on a trip without it. This is a mug, bowl and spoons. An aluminum pot and an aluminum mug are perfect.

The volume of the pot depends on the number of people going on a hike. It is advisable to have two pots - one for cooking, the second for boiling water. A pot made of aluminum is good because it does not weigh so much and water boils faster in it. There are kettles with a copper bottom, in which food is cooked even faster. Many survivalists get by with one army bowler hat.

4. First aid kit

You can't go on a hike without medication. Few things can happen. You may get injured, you may catch a cold, you may be attacked by a wild animal. Therefore, the first aid kit must be collected. You can read more about how to assemble a camping first aid kit.

The first aid kit must include:

  • 1. Sterile and non-sterile bandage, tourniquet
  • 2. Iodine and green
  • 3. Plaster bactericidal
  • 4. Painkillers, antipyretics - analgin, baralgin, ketarol, aspirin and citramon
  • 5. Hydrogen peroxide
  • 6. Albucid or sofradex
  • 7. Validol and ammonia
  • 8. Antiallergic drugs - suprastin and fenkarol
  • 9. Antispasmodics - no-shpa and teonikol
  • 10. Scissors
  • 11. Ethyl alcohol
  • 12. Sterile wipes
  • 13. Furacilin tablets
  • 14. Ointment for burns
  • 15. Activated carbon
  • 16. Cough remedy - Bromhexine.

In principle, such a set of medicines is more than sufficient, you can replenish it with medicines that are needed and necessary for you.

5. Spare clothes

If you are going on a long hike (more than two days), then you need to take care of a second set of clothes. Be sure to have a hat, warm jacket, pants and other warm clothes. Because the night is colder than the day. Also take 2-3 pairs of thin socks and 1-2 pairs of warm ones.

6. Basic things

These include sleeping bag, carimat (foam), seat, tent, raincoat. The nature of the trip depends on what you will take with you from these accessories. Many go camping without a tent and a sleeping bag, this is all for convenience. But you will need a backpack for sure, in it you will put everything that you take with you on a hike. A tent also does not hurt, see how to choose a tent. Carimat is also useful, because sleeping on bare ground is not very pleasant.

7. Gadgets. Phone, navigator, camera

We live in the age of modern technology, so almost everyone takes all sorts of electronic things with them on a hike. It is foolish to refuse them, so I will tell you what you need to take with you. You need to have one or two spare batteries with your phone, or a portable charger with a few extra charges, because when your phone dies, it will become useless. Also a fotik, or a spare battery, or a charger.

A means of communication in the forest will not hurt you for sure, it will especially help out when you understand. that got lost. It's good if you have a navigator, but it's better to have a good smartphone with a navigator already installed. Navigation is generally an important thing on a long trip, it helps a lot to navigate. You will also need a flashlight and spare batteries.

8. Any additional equipment

Selected depending on what you will be doing on the trip. It can be fishing tackle, rope, climbing equipment, diving equipment.

Do not forget to bring mosquito repellent, toilet paper, personal hygiene products - soap, toothpaste and brush, towel.

You can also watch a video on the topic “Survival kit or what to take with you on a hike”, here you will see how to assemble a kit yourself or how to choose a ready-made one.

Each individual tourist has his own understanding of camping.

For some, this is a weekend trip to nature, not far from the city, with an overnight stay in a tent. For others, it is active autotourism, which involves spending the night in a tent.

For others, this is a multi-day and many-kilometer hike, often on the verge of endurance of the body, which involves not only spending the night in a tent, cooking on a fire, but also the need to carry all the necessary things in a backpack, that is, on your own shoulders.

Accordingly, the list of necessary things that you can and even need to take with you on a camping trip varies significantly depending on the intended type of camping holiday. Of course, for a more comfortable stay and trips by car, the number of things will be much more than for long and multi-day trips with a backpack.

Types of camping

I repeat a little, to understand the types of camping, and specify the list of necessary things.

For myself, I share three types of tent rest:

  1. A weekend trip, usually by car, not very far from home, with one or two nights in a tent.
  2. Active autotourism for several days, with overnight stays in a tent.
  3. Multi-day hike, without using a car.

Let us dwell in detail on each of the types of tent rest and a possible list of things necessary for rest.

List of necessary things for a weekend trip with tents

Considering that a weekend camping trip is usually carried out by car - this is either a trip in your own car, or a car - transfer to a place of rest, the presence of a car makes it possible, on the one hand, to take more things that you may need, and with the other, taking into account the short duration of the trip, limit yourself to the minimum set.

1. Actually, the tent itself

If you are already planning a tent vacation, then without it, nowhere. Currently, the choice of tents is simply huge - from small single tents to multi-room tents, in which you can not only accommodate a large company, but also arrange a common kitchen - dining room.
If you need a tent once or twice a year, don't buy an expensive tent. The only requirement that you must consider when buying a tent is that it must be waterproof, both from above, for example, in case it rains, and from below, in general, also in case it rains and water flows under the bottom tents.

For more frequent trips to nature, it is worth choosing a better quality tent, both in terms of the materials used for its manufacture, and in terms of its stability and ease of installation.

I think that any professional seller of a tourist shop will be happy to not only advise you, but also help you decide on the choice of a tent in the ratio of the desired price / quality.

2. Travel mats and sleeping bags

In addition to the tent itself, you need to take care of the bed.

Self-inflating mats, which take up little more space and weight than travel mats, have become a good replacement for the usual tourist rug (“foams”).

Some tourists buy a large rubber mattress, inflate it right in the tent, and sleep peacefully on it, not only without experiencing the cold from the ground, but also on a completely soft and comfortable surface. For the mattress, do not forget to buy the appropriate pump (as a rule, the pump is included).

Even with a large mattress, sleeping bags are still needed. And, if one large mattress is enough for a tent, then every tourist, including children, needs sleeping bags.

3. Warm clothes and shoes

If you travel not very far from home, and the weather promises to be hot and not rainy, you can not take a large number of warm clothes. At the same time, do not forget that evenings and nights, especially near the water, are cool, so a warm jumper and trousers (even sports ones) can come in handy.

Yes, and weather forecasts often do not come true, and instead of a beautiful tan from nature, you can bring pronounced signs of a cold. That is, even if you expect heat, you need to take warm clothes. Especially if you are traveling with children.

Also, do not forget that for outdoor recreation it is necessary to take comfortable clothes with you, preferably one that does not wrinkle too much when worn actively.

4. Camping - tourist furniture: folding table, chairs

The items are very comfortable. But their availability depends not only on your financial capabilities, but also on the volume of the trunk of the car. Although, some tourists - tenters feel quite well while sitting on stumps or on tourist rugs - seats.

5. Camping utensils

Depending on what and how much you plan to cook. And if you can use ordinary disposable plastic utensils and plastic utensils for eating, then you need at least one pot, frying pan, or a pot if you prefer to cook on a fire, a ladle, etc. I wrote more about what dishes can be useful on a trip, as well as what products to take to nature, in one of my previous articles: what products to take to nature (follow the link).

Also, it will not be superfluous to have a gas stove and a small supply of gas cylinders on a hike or a trip with tents - not everyone knows how to cook on a fire.

6. Other little things

For example, toilet paper, ointments and liquids from ticks and mosquitoes.

A brazier and skewers or a grill for cooking meat or fish, ready-made charcoal, in order not to wait until enough coal burns in a fire, will not be superfluous. You can also take a bundle of firewood with you, especially if you plan to camp with tents in a place where, by definition, there is not only dead wood, but also, in principle, a forest.

7. First aid kit and medicines

Resting in nature, there is always a risk of injury. Therefore, a tourist first aid kit should always be at hand. There should also be a small supply of medicines in case you have to take them on a regular basis.

The list of necessary things for active autotourism

Active autotourism, with its longer pastime far from home, implies a more expanded set of necessary things. Although, in fact, the list of necessary things that you need to take with you is almost the same as the previous one.

Perhaps the main difference is a much larger amount of clothing, in which it is necessary to take into account both the likely heat and the possibility of a sharp cold snap. Of course, it makes no sense to take the entire wardrobe from home, but spare trousers and jackets obviously do not hurt. Boots with warm socks will not be superfluous.

Food supplies are collected depending on the direction and place where you plan to go. Even in the village shop you can buy the most necessary products. But, if you plan to go, for example, far into the mountains, and the nearest village is located hundreds of kilometers away, then you should take care of the supply of food and water.

The same applies to other related items: dishes, washing accessories, towels, etc.

When we are going on a long trip, we have a large number of bags that need to be somehow distributed around the car ... Therefore, when packing things, you need to take into account the trunk volume of your iron friend. And the principle "I'll take it just in case" does not always justify itself.

On the other hand, when traveling by car, you can take with you an almost unlimited number of necessary things, which cannot be said about long trips on foot, when everything you might need on a camping trip with tents must not only be compactly packed into a backpack, but also carry this backpack on your back...

List of necessary things for a camping trip

In this case, I will limit myself to a universal list, since each hiker has his own individual capabilities and needs.

  1. Backpack. The backpack should be comfortable, light and roomy, with a large number of pockets and compartments.
  2. Tent. For hiking, they select the most light, but at the same time, waterproof tent. It will no longer be possible to take tents and camping furniture with you. Tourist seat mat.
  3. Sleeping bag and travel mat. Without it, nowhere. Sleeping on bare ground is not only unpleasant, but also fraught with hypothermia with all associated diseases.
  4. A set of warm clothes: thick jacket, jumper, trousers, socks, hat, gloves. Especially if you go to the mountains. Sunglasses for the mountain route also do not hurt. With bright sun and snow lying in the mountains, the eyes will not be comfortable.
  5. A set of ordinary hiking clothes. As a rule, this is a sports suit. Waterproof raincoat - in case of heavy rain. Ideally, the raincoat should be large enough that you can fit into it with your backpack.
  6. Several sets of underwear, including underwear, t-shirts, socks. It is better to take from soft natural fabrics. Cap or head scarf.
  7. Shoes. As a rule, on a long trip with tents, they take with them thick waterproof boots and lighter shoes, for example, ordinary sneakers.
  8. Phones, watches, navigator, camera. If you take electronic devices on a hike, do not forget to take spare batteries.
  9. Washing supplies, towels, soap/shampoo, tissues, toilet paper…
  10. Set of dishes. Depending on the number of people going on a hike. If there is a large group, then the dishes used for cooking are distributed among the tourists, and each tourist also takes an individual set of dishes (plate, mug, fork, spoon, knife). If a small team goes on a hike, or an individual hike is planned, then you yourself will have to carry both a primus stove with a supply of gas, and a saucepan.
  11. Products. Probably the hardest part of the list. You can’t carry a large amount of canned food and potatoes with cereals on yourself. Therefore, many experienced tourists are content with little: they take with them a limited set of fast-cooking cereals, nuts, dried fruits, dried meat, spices, etc.
  12. Other little things. Matches or a lighter, a flashlight (preferably a headlamp), a small coil of a regular clothesline (for example, hang clothes to dry), a few plastic bags, thread and a needle, scissors. Don't forget to bring some cash and your passport with you. No matter where it will take you.

In our time, when many people cannot imagine life without a car, subway and many hours of sitting at a computer, more and more people prefer to spend their holidays away from the city and closer to nature.

Recreation in nature is always good and useful. In warm weather, such a rest is an excellent psychological and mental relaxation.

Someone leaves for the whole vacation to foreign beauties, and someone prefers to wander through Russian forests, enjoy the riot of colors, dream along the river bank with a fishing rod.

If you want to have a good time, then go hiking in the forest. There you will find many impressions, fun adventures, as well as difficulties that will help us to test our own character and possibilities.

What to take with you on a hike in the forest? This question arises for every person who does not have much experience in field affairs. Therefore, let's find the answer to it together and get together on a forest trip in accordance with all the rules:

Backpack. This is the very first thing you need for a hike. The backpack should be roomy enough and suitable in size for the one who will carry it. Therefore, refuse the huge tourist backpack with a metal base carefully offered by a neighbor.

If you don’t have a backpack, then running to the store and buying the first tourist backpack that comes across is not necessary at all. You need to think carefully about this serious purchase, because you buy a backpack for more than one outing into the forest.

Tent, sleeping bag and mat. If the hike is without an overnight stay, then a tent and a bag may not be needed. But if you are going on a hike with a large company, then a tent or awning will come in handy.

Tents are different in size (number of beds), so you need to agree with friends who takes and carries the tent.

Waterproof bag. Be sure to bring a waterproof bag with you. Regardless of the weather or your balance (when crossing streams and rivers), all your things and products will remain dry.

Axe, saw. They are needed for preparing firewood, logs for sitting, tent pegs (if you are using old canvas tents). For the whole group, 1 copy of both is enough. Put them in a bag or wrap them in a tarp.

Equipment for fishing. In general, if you have laid a route past a river or lake, a float, fishing line, sinker and fishing hook will not be superfluous. They do not take up much space in the backpack, but with their help you can arrange a wonderful lunch. By the way, a fishing line with a hook can come in handy when hunting small animals and birds.

Clothes for the trip and things to take with you. Comfortable clothes and loose shoes. Clothing for the hike should be selected according to the weather. You should not go into the forest in shorts and sandals. A light jacket with a hood, socks, a T-shirt, a hat, comfortable worn-in sneakers (never wear new shoes on a hike).

Matches and everything you need to set up a campfire. Matches, a hatchet, paper for lighting a fire.

and mosquitoes. These insects can ruin your vacation, so take action in time and take repellent sprays or creams on your hike.

Food. The list of products that will be needed on the hike should be discussed in advance with everyone who is going to hike with you.

But you can take with you to chew: crackers, cookies, lollipops. be sure to take a bottle of mineral or plain water.

Dishes. A metal mug, a spoon, a bowl, a regular and canning knife, a bowler hat, a ladle, camping pots, a frying pan. Enough 1-2 for the whole group. Of course, you don't need a frying pan. But if you take a small one with you for frying, you can improve the quality of camping food by frying fish on a fire or mushrooms, for example.

First aid kit and personal hygiene products. Be sure to take soap, toothpaste and a brush with you on an overnight camping trip.

If you are going camping for one day, then wet wipes or paper towels, toilet paper will come in handy.

You also need to take a first aid kit on a hike: a bandage, a bactericidal plaster, iodine or brilliant green, painkillers, insect bites, antihistamines.

Be sure to carefully consider the preparation for outdoor recreation and then your trip will not be able to overshadow any unexpected and unforeseen situations.

Now I will try to do what I promised in the forum, namely, to expand my post on survival to several articles. At the same time, I will build an article in the form of answers to forum questions, otherwise it will not turn out to be an article, but a book.

To begin with, let's define a number of conventions.

1. We will assume that it is late spring-summer-early autumn outside, that is, relatively warm and relatively dry.
2. We go to the forest for a few days, our goal is not only to survive sitting under a bush, but also to move around. Let's say we plan to go for 5-7 days.
3. We have limited capacity and limited skills. I will try to focus the article on a complete beginner who does not know how to make a fire in a hollow tree, spend the night on a climbing harness and is not ready to carry 30 kg on himself for a distance of 50 km.
4. The forest is wild and unfamiliar, in the middle lane.

What, personally, from your point of view, are the essentials?

1. First aid kit "comfort":

Sterile bandage - 2 (1 narrow, 1 wide).
Tape patch (it will be necessary - put a bandage or a bandage with brilliant green) - 1.
Zelenka (do not need iodine, it certainly does not get so dirty, but it is worse for open wounds and heals worse) - 1.
Hydrogen peroxide - 1.
Activated charcoal is a thing of the past. We take Laktofiltrum - 2 plates.
Loperamide (preparation Lopedium) - 1 plate.
Ketanov or Nise. Painkiller - 1 plate.
Paracetamol tablets - 1 plate.
Validol - 1 plate.
No-shpa - 1 plate.
Aquatabs (for water disinfection) - 3 plates.
Needle (thin) and threads in case of suturing wounds. Only synthetics - 1 set. Disinfect with the same green. At the same time, they will fit in the economy.
Drugs as needed (everyone knows their illnesses).

2. Food "comfort".
"Comfort" is not a ration for the whole trip. This is what will allow you not to start starving in the first two or three days, as well as diversify your diet and help in case hunting and other fishing are unsuccessful.
Belarusian stew or "GOST". Only beef. 3 banks.
Soup in packages (not all sorts of "hot mugs", but Soviet, which must be boiled) 3 packages for 4 servings.
Crackers or bread. Dry. Vanilla crackers are great, but without poppy seeds and without raisin nuts.
Salt. 300 grams minimum.
Sugar (or better - condensed milk in a plastic pack with a lid, like mayonnaise, is good for tea, and bake apples found on the way, and with a cold).
Black tea (not green, not bags - ordinary black large-leaf, without fragrant perversions).
Coffee (can be instant, but better ground).
Chocolate (restores strength, helps to warm up).
200 g of vodka in a flask (when wet, when cooled, for disinfection, when drinking dirty water).
The rest is to taste and load capacity.

3. Equipment:
Sleeping bag (watch the comfort temperature, do not take hot and cold).
The rug is self-inflating (light, takes up a minimum of space, soft).
Dry fuel (no need to get out, in the forest no one sees the use of such "not cool" things, and fuel will save the life of a beginner in dampness).
Hunting matches (do not get wet, do not break ... and a lighter only if you smoke, in a swamp or in the rain, there is NO sense from it for a fire).
Knife. Good, reliable, thick, NOT foldable and without vy...s.
Hatchet or machete. Better - a hatchet (a machete is good, but if you don’t know how to use it, then immediately see the “first aid kit” item.
Rocket launcher and six missiles. Two green, four red. It costs - a penny, benefits - a ton. A red rocket is a signal "for help", a green one is "I'm here." And the rocket launcher scares away and sometimes even kills animals.
A skein of strong fishing line or green "braid", six sinkers, ten hooks, two floats. They weigh nothing and take up no space. If there is nothing to eat, it will be necessary to catch food. If you have to catch in the river, then before you catch 1 fish out of inexperience, you will miss 5 sets)) Also, fishing line / braid and hooks are used to catch small animals and birds.
Army cauldron with a lid-plate.
Mug
Spoon fork set.
Crap tape. Don't take the regular one. Take wet wipes. They are useful for both toilet and hygiene.
Raincoat awning. This is not a raincoat weighing 3 silt, which is neither a raincoat nor a tent ... This is a square bag 20 by 20 by 3 cm, which can be either a long poncho with a hood in the rain or an awning.

4. Clothes:
It is chosen according to the season and taste, but what should be required ...
Boots with high berets. Shoes must ALWAYS fix the ankle. If you twist your leg in some ravine without them, only archaeologists will find you later.
Many neglect, but I highly recommend rubber boots with you. For dampness, snakes. In front of the entrance to the swamp, a large blueberry, raspberry, low shrub, just a damp place - do not be lazy, change your shoes or go around.
Woolen socks. Necessarily. Just no camels. Plain wool socks.
Windbreaker, encephalitka or any other windbreaker, which has ALL entrances with elastic bands (waist, sleeves, hood) and which can be put on top of anything - from a naked body to another jacket. This is from ticks and other joys such as fleas of all varieties.

Well, the rest is up to the adventurer's choice. I always take thermal underwear, a bandana and a mosquito net for example.

What could be better than going camping with good company? Fresh air, picturesque nature, night gatherings by the fire under the stars with the onset of heat begin to attract all lovers of hiking. Experienced hikers always know what to bring with them the essentials on a hike, but beginners have a lot of questions about this. How to conduct the training camp correctly so as not to forget anything you need and at the same time not to collect unnecessary things? Preparing for a hike is a whole science. Having mastered it, any tourist will be able to pack his backpack in a matter of minutes and go on an exciting journey.

Backpack

When planning a trip to the mountains, to the river or to the forest, you must definitely make a list of the necessary things for the trip. It may vary depending on the time of the year, the duration of the route and the duration of the trip. But there are items that a tourist will need on any trip. The first place among them is occupied by a backpack. We can say that it is from him that any trip begins, because he is the home for all the necessary things. You need to buy a backpack with knowledge of the matter. It must be capacious, waterproof, have a hard bottom, a padded back and reliable straps that will not cut into your shoulders during a hike. Men should choose backpacks with a volume of 80-100 liters, and for women, the best option would be a capacity of up to 60 liters. Ideally, after it is assembled, there should still be some free space left in it. If the backpack is not large enough, then things that do not fit in it will have to be fastened on the outside, and this will create additional inconvenience during the trip.

Tent

Those who think that a backpack is the most necessary thing on a hike are mistaken. An equally important element of tourist equipment, without which one cannot go on long hikes, is a tent. You will need it at any time of the year. The main criteria that you should pay attention to when choosing a tent are lightness (because you will need to carry it with you) and water resistance (to protect against rain). It will be good if it is equipped with mosquito nets. If you are planning a trip to the mountains, then the tourist house must additionally have a high degree of resistance to strong winds. Tents vary in size. The more people it can fit in, the larger and therefore heavier it will be. If a lot of people go on a hike, then instead of one large tent, it is better to take several double tents with you - they weigh a little and are easier to carry. Attach the tents from the outside to the bottom of the backpack.

Sleeping bag

When packing for a hike, you should not forget about a sleeping bag. In summer, it will be comfortable for a tourist to spend nights in a light and thin sleeping bag. If a person is used to hiking at any time of the year, then he will need a universal sleeping bag designed for temperatures from -12 to +20 degrees Celsius: the traveler will be comfortable in it regardless of weather conditions. The sleeping bag, like the tent, is attached from the outside to the bottom of the backpack.

Carpet mat

The list of things for a hike must be supplemented with a karemat. It, unlike ordinary rugs, does not allow moisture to pass through and retains heat, so it can be safely laid on the ground during halts or gatherings around the fire. In hot weather, you can sleep on the karemat. It is also convenient to lay out your things on it.

First aid kit

The essentials don't end there. When packing the essentials for a hike in a backpack, you need to remember about the first aid kit. It includes medical devices and medicines that a person should always have at hand. These include:

  • hydrogen peroxide;
  • cotton wool;
  • bandage (sterile and non-sterile);
  • antiseptics (brilliant green, iodine);
  • means for protection against mosquitoes and other insects;
  • antipyretic and analgesic drugs (paracetamol, aspirin, ibuprofen);
  • sorbents (smecta, activated carbon);
  • potassium permanganate;
  • sunscreen.

The first aid kit is supplemented with drugs that the traveler is forced to take constantly or periodically (for example, blood pressure pills).

Matches, axe, dishes

Listing the essentials for a campaign, one cannot fail to mention the means for making fire, without which one cannot do without the benefits of civilization. These are the lighter. You will also need a package of dry alcohol and old newspapers.

A small hatchet will not be superfluous. He will help out if there is a need to chop wood for a fire. Together with the ax in the backpack, you need to put a coil of strong, but not very thick rope.

You can’t do without dishes on a hike. An indispensable set of tourists are a bowl, a cup, a spoon and a folding knife. Do not take disposable tableware with you, as it quickly becomes unusable. The plate and cup should be unbreakable, preferably metal. You can’t do a long journey without a plastic bottle of 1.5-2 liters. It is convenient to collect water from a spring in it. For cooking, you should stock up on two pots of different sizes: the smaller one is used for brewing tea, and the large one is needed for porridge or stew.

You need to think in advance what tourists will eat on a hike. It is most convenient to take with you on a long journey food products that do not spoil (canned food, cereals, crackers). Be sure to grab tea bags and salt.

clothing

Everyone chooses clothes for a trip individually, taking into account the weather. But there is a list of things that a tourist cannot do without while traveling. If a person goes to then he will need:

  • loose sports trousers;
  • shorts or breeches;
  • shirt made of lightweight fabric with long sleeves;
  • several T-shirts, shorts and T-shirts;
  • swimming trunks, swimsuit;
  • warm pants and jacket;
  • 2-3 pairs of socks made of natural material (plain and woolen);
  • cap, scarf or bandana;
  • windbreaker jacket;
  • comfortable shoes (sneakers, sneakers, rubber slippers, trekking sandals);
  • Sunglasses.

All things must be made of natural materials and pass air well.

In the winter season, instead of light clothing, you need to take warm jackets and pants, woolen sweaters, hats, gloves, non-slip leather shoes with natural fur, and thermal underwear.

Others and fixtures

In the backpack, you need to allocate space for personal hygiene items (soap, toothpaste and brushes, napkins, combs, several small towels).

In order to navigate the terrain well, tourists will need maps, route maps, and a compass. Today, all of these items are more often replaced by a single GPS navigation device. Taking with you to the miracle of technology, you can not be afraid to get lost in unfamiliar places.

A passport or other identification document, and money for contingencies will also be needed by a tourist on a hike. They need to be hidden so that they are in a safe place, but if necessary, they can be easily found by their owner.

The traveler will also need a mobile phone. Before the campaign, the account on it will need to be replenished with a sufficient amount. If you are planning a hiking trip for a long time, then it does not hurt to take a portable charger with you, with which you can charge your mobile phone away from the mains.

Taking everything you need for a hike, you should put a flashlight in your backpack. It is best if it is a model attached to the forehead. With such a flashlight it is convenient to highlight your way in the dark, and in case of danger, give signals with it. Be sure to take a set of spare batteries with it.

So that bad weather does not spoil the trip, you need to remember about a waterproof cape. It will take up very little space in the backpack, and the benefits of it if it suddenly starts to rain will be invaluable.

No matter how much you want to take more things with you, you need to remember the main rule of a tourist: you should take only the most necessary things on a hike. A fully assembled backpack for a male traveler should not weigh more than 20 kg, and for a woman - 15 kg.
