Lesson 10 Paper work. Application work.

Product: Paper bookmark.

Tasks and materials in the workbook: "Paper bookmark" (p. 15) and application.

Lesson objectives: repeat the material of the previous lesson (using paper, properties, making symmetrical shapes, rules for working with templates); show the possibilities of using the bookmark; to form the ability to complete the construction of symmetrical figures; learn to solve search problems (search for the center of the figure); learn to argue your opinion; learn to create a symmetrical composition from geometric shapes; improve the ability to work according to a plan; to acquaint with the algorithm for the implementation of the product: marking, cutting, assembly, finishing; to teach to exercise control over each stage of practical work, to show the possibility of making corrections to the work; educate accuracy, work culture; to fix and improve the methods of working with glue; development of spatial thinking, to teach to carry out quality control of manufactured products according to the model.

Planned results:

Subject: know some information about the paper (properties, use), what the bookmark is used for; save material; connect parts with glue.

Personal: the formation of a positive attitude towards work.

Regulatory: carry out an action according to the model (make a symmetrical ornament from geometric shapes); implementation of work on the basis of the slides and text plans presented in the textbook; see errors and deviations from the set goal, make corrections; comprehension of the algorithm for compiling a symmetrical paper application.

Cognitive: understand the importance of following the rules for working with templates, namely the location in order to save material; plan practical activities; observe in practice the specified rules for working with glue; creation of ways to solve search problems.

Communicative: justify your own opinion.

Basic terms and concepts: pattern, symmetry.

Resources and equipment.

At the teacher: textbook, workbook, layout options for the template to test students' knowledge, sample bookmarks, the game "Finish the symmetrical figure", ready product.

For students: textbook, workbook, cardboard, colored paper (preferably prepared by a teacher), pencil, scissors, glue, glue tools.

During the classes:

Introductory part(5 minutes.).

Teacher: “Today at the lesson we continue to work with paper, tell us what new things did you learn about this material in the last lesson? (when repeating this topic, the teacher demonstrates the cluster compiled in the last lesson) What figures have we learned to make? What does "symmetry" mean? What symmetrical figures can you name?

The teacher can offer students the game "Finish the symmetrical figure" in its half. Here, the teacher, by choice, can offer individual work, then it is necessary to prepare drawings for students, preferably on a piece of paper in a box, or offer to perform this work on the board, inviting several students to complete the task.

How do we label the details? With what device? Did you manage to make your own template at home? And how to work with them correctly?

The teacher on the board offers various options for the location of the templates, students must choose the right decision. Options for errors can be the following: a) placement in the center; b) the placement is correct, based on saving paper, but the template is located on the color side; c) the pattern is not tangent to one of the format lines.

Teacher: “In what way did we connect the parts in the product? What rules for working with glue did you use? Let's consolidate these rules by opening the textbook on page 38. Let's read the rules for working with glue together. So, what devices do we need to work with glue? (backing sheet, rag, maybe a lapping sheet, brush). The brush needs special care. It can be of different widths, small parts are smeared with a narrow brush, and for a larger workpiece, a wider brush is taken. The glue must not be allowed to dry on the brush; after finishing work, it must be washed immediately.

There is even a poem dedicated to Clay.

Save yourself quickly -

Glue escaped from the kitchen!

He spares no one.

Everyone you don't meet

Glued a hanger and a hat

I glued the lamp and the coat,

He glued dad to the chair -

You won't peel it off, no way!

Lights go out in the city -

They also stuck...

And the eyes began to stick together,

To make sure everyone sleeps.

I. Bzhehwa

discussion of the poem. How did everyone react to the event described in the poem? What is this event? What happened in the end? What rule of working with glue can be formulated? (Students answer the question: glue must be buried, it must be found in a strictly designated place).

Product analysis. Working with a plan.(5-7 min.)

Teacher: “Today at the lesson we will make a bookmark with you. Tell me, why do you need a bookmark? (students make their guesses). Bookmark - a ribbon, a strip inserted into a book to notice the desired page. The bookmark can be bought at the store, or it can be made by hand. It can be made of paper, thread, fabric, metal (demonstration of bookmarks).

The product is suggested on page 38. Tell me, how long will it take us to make the “Paper Bookmark” product, how difficult will it be to make this product? (students look at the icons proposed by the authors and answer the teacher's question).

Consider our product (the teacher also demonstrates the product), answer the questions of the young technologist. Students analyze the proposed product and answer the teacher's questions, the expected answers are offered in brackets.

1. What will I do? (We will make a bookmark). What is its feature? (It is symmetrical of geometric shapes: squares, triangles).

2. What materials and tools will I need to work? (Cardboard, colored paper, scissors, marking pencil, glue and glue tools).

3. How will I do the work? In what ways? (Cut out pieces of paper and stick them with glue).

4. What will I do first, then what? We will draw up a short work plan on our own, taking into account the fact that we need to prepare templates (1. organization of the workplace, 2. preparation of templates: cutting out from a workbook, 3. marking templates on the material, 4. cutting, cutting parts, 5. assembly) .

5. Why will I make this product? The product can be used for its intended purpose, put in a book, textbook.

Product manufacturing. (20-25 min.)

Teacher: Let's start practical work, relying on detailed plan in the textbook on page 38 and on the slides on page 39. We will control each stage of practical work, based on the slides of the textbook.” The teacher demonstrates each stage of the work.

1. Organize your workplace.

Let's check on slide No. 1 whether we have prepared all the materials and tools.

2. Cut out a piece of colored cardboard according to template 1 from the workbook, and according to template 2, three parts of two colors from colored paper.

You should get 2 templates, one in the form of a rectangle, the other in the form of a square.

What needs to be done here? Cut out templates from the Paper Bookmark application. Template No. 1 is a strip, a rectangle, applied to the cardboard in a corner on the wrong side and circled with a pencil, template No. 2 is circled on colored paper (only on wrong side), we use two colors, that is, circle the template twice on one paper and 1 time on the other (here it is easier to do this as follows: the student circles template No. 2 three times on one colored paper, after the details are cut out, students sitting at one desk, they can exchange cut-out parts with each other: two parts for one).

3. Cut template 2 along the markup.

We cut along the marked lines, look at slide number 3, we should get three triangles: 1 large and two small ones.

4. According to the resulting templates, cut out the details from colored paper.

Again we mark the patterns on colored paper on the wrong side, circle a large triangle 2 times and 4 should turn out small, remember that we mark it on the wrong side, save paper. After all the details are cut with scissors, before that it is necessary to repeat the rules for working with scissors.

Look at slide number 4, the result is the following details: 2 large triangles, 4 small ones made of colored paper and 1 more rectangle made of cardboard,

5. Start gluing the composition from the center of part 1, find the center of the part using template 1.

6, 7, 8. Glue the parts so that you get a symmetrical product.

Before you start gluing the parts, lay out a symmetrical composition on cardboard, starting from the center.

Try to answer the question: how do we find the center of the figure? The students answer this question, and the teacher opens the options in the table. In this case, the teacher can demonstrate visually the proposed options. If some options are not named, the teacher voices the options himself. After naming the options, it is proposed to choose one that can be used in practical work, while discussing all the "pluses" and "minuses" of the options, they are marked in the "Notes" column. "Try to prove that the chosen option is more suitable than others for the task."

How to find the center of a figure?

Notes

Bend the shape twice

But we remember the detail, and the product will turn out to be sloppy.

Mark by ruler

Can't use line

Put a template on top (the center of the figure is marked on the template) and pierce with an awl in the center

We do not know how to use an awl

Cut out ¼ of template #1, attach to the part and mark the center with a pencil.

The best option, we know how to cut and use a pencil when marking.

Now you can expand the details, but you need to remember that symmetry should be not only in shape, but also in color.

Here, students can demonstrate bookmark options with correct symmetry and with an error, while students choose the correct option. Also pay attention to the options suggested in the workbook on page 15.

After the parts are laid out, you can start gluing. What are the rules for working with glue?

Let's summarize.(3-5 min.)

An exhibition of works is being held. Students summarize their work. They demonstrate their products and tell what happened in the work, what should be learned? Was it difficult to complete the work, does this work correspond in complexity to what the authors stated? How do you evaluate your product, is it done neatly, or do you need to finish something?

The teacher also analyzes the products, also pays attention to the accuracy of the cut out forms, the accuracy and correctness of the location of the parts.

Additional material for the lesson

FROM THE HISTORY OF THE BOOKMARK *

The need for some kind of device needed to mark the right pages in the book was identified in ancient times.

It was very difficult to work with huge volumes of sheets without bookmarks. Leaving the book open with the pages down could damage the binding and pages.

The history of bookmarks is closely linked to the development of books. Although the earliest date for bookmarks is not known, it is clear that even in ancient times - when papyrus scrolls were the basis for manuscripts - bookmarks were already used to mark places where reading had reached. After all, the scrolls sometimes reached more than 40 m in length. One of the oldest bookmarks was the sticky bookmark made of parchment.

Between the 13th and 15th centuries, bookmarks made by monks appeared. They were found in early printed books. The monks made them from parchment or leather, using the rest of the material that went to the book cover. These bookmarks came in a variety of shapes—a simple stripe, a clip-on triangle, or more complex ones—with a spinning dial that indicated a column on the page.

Such a bookmark was attached to a thread along which it could be moved up and down to mark the exact level on the page. The tab had a spinning disk that indicated the column (the text was placed in columns, they were usually numbered from 1 to 4).

Rotating disc bookmark

In the 15th century, despite the advent of printing, books were still published in very limited quantities and were very valuable. One of the earliest (known) references to the use of bookmarks is the year 1584, when Christopher Barker ** presented the manuscript with a silk bookmark to Queen Elizabeth I.

Ordinary, in our understanding, bookmarks appeared only in the XVIII-XIX centuries.
