Working hours

For convenient use of the data, we have summarized the figures in a table containing information by quarter and for the whole year.

Let's clarify some points:

  1. A work week of 40 hours assumes a daily rate of 8 hours; 36 - hourly - 7.2 hours; 24 - hour - 4.8 hours.
  2. If there are pre-holiday days, one hour is deducted from the total number of hours, according to the Labor Code.
  3. The number of pre-holiday days in a year is three: February 22, March 7, November 3.

According to the approved calendar, citizens will have a rest in 2017 in January from the 1st to the 8th. The traditional New Year holidays have not gone anywhere, and there are no plans to cancel them in the near future. And due to the fact that January 1 (New Year) and January 7 (Christmas) fall on Sunday and Saturday, the government decided to move these holidays to February and May, but this will be discussed a little later. It is worth noting that the authorities do not stop discussing the possibility of moving the January holidays to the beginning of May in the future, when people could arrange a more intense and active holiday, but so far this is just an idea.

In February 2017, we rest from the 22nd to the 26th, and this will be one of the shortest working weeks of the year: only two full days (Monday and Tuesday) and a shortened pre-holiday Wednesday. February 23, unofficially recognized not only as the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland, but also as a holiday for all men, falls on a Thursday. Friday, February 24, was made an additional day off, moving here to Saturday, January 1.

In March 2017, holidays of rest, unfortunately, are not located as conveniently as we would like. March 8, a holiday in honor of the beautiful half of humanity, falls on Wednesday, and nothing can be done about it. All other days of March will be held as usual, with the exception of the pre-holiday 7th, when there will be a shortened working day.

Having waited out the usual production April, citizens will finally be able to rest for a few days in May. May holidays this time, alas, will not be as long as last year. May 1 (Monday) is the first official day off. It will be followed by holidays on May 8 and 9 (it was decided to move Saturday January Christmas to Monday). Thus, citizens have a rest in May 2017, first three days in a row (from April 29 to May 1), and then four (from May 6 to May 9).

In June, Russia will traditionally celebrate the Day of Russia. This date is the 12th, which this time turned out to be a lucky Monday. So, citizens of the Russian Federation will be able to relax in June for three days in a row - from June 10 to 12. After that, you can already safely plan a vacation, as the next holidays are still very long.

In November 2017, weekends and holidays will also be all right. To the delight of all citizens, National Unity Day, November 4, falls on Saturday, which gave the government the opportunity to conveniently arrange the weekend. It is worth noting that November 3 is a shortened working day. After that, we rest from 4 to 6 November.

As a result, according to the approved calendar, it turns out that in 2017 Russians will be given 13 holidays, each of which is a day off. Do not forget to remind management of the availability of pre-holiday days, which should take place in the mode of reduced working hours.

Willy-nilly creep into the head. And you should not let such an event as planning your New Year holidays go by itself, because due to the peculiarities of scheduling work in Russia, many citizens have a great opportunity to organize a wonderful vacation for themselves, their families, loved ones and relatives. But in order to be able to do this in advance, you should know that how to relax in Russia for the New Year 2017, and how many New Year's weekends and holidays.

For many years, Russia has been celebrating the New Year not for one day, but for ten whole days. This is due to the combination and transfer of holidays scheduled for the first third of January.

As a rule, the celebration begins on the evening of December 31, when the solemn preparations for the meeting of the coming year slowly flow into the active celebration of this event. Knowing this, for several years now the State Duma has been proposing to make December 31 also an official day off. However, such innovations have not yet gained their strength - the deputies are sure that this shift in the work schedule can adversely affect the economic situation in the country.

So, based on the draft resolution of the Ministry of Labor-RF on the postponement of the weekend in the next 2017, the Russians, in the new 2017, are once again waiting for quite long New Year's holidays - from December 31st to January 8th , i.e. nine whole days of New Year's holiday.

As we mentioned above, at the moment, there is already a project to postpone the holidays in 2017, based on which the following conclusions can be drawn.

Rescheduling holidays in January

It should be noted that due to the fact that some holidays coincide with New Year's holidays, the Ministry of Labor proposed the following transfer of days off: January 1 (Sunday) to be moved to February 24 (Friday), in turn, January th (Saturday) moved to May 8th (Monday).

Everyone who works according to the schedule of the five-day work week on December 31, which falls on Saturday, will have the opportunity to devote the whole day to New Year's Eve preparations: choosing an outfit, visiting a hairdresser, wrapping gifts, decorating an apartment and the main culprit of the whole celebration - the New Year tree and, of course, preparing a festive table that everyone will surely like and create a pleasant atmosphere for a big event.

Others, who work six days a week, will spend the last working day on a reduced schedule and will be relieved of their direct duties an hour earlier than usual.

New Year 2017 - holidays and weekends

January 1 -, it is considered an official public holiday. Only employees of emergency services and trade go to work.

On January 7, Russia will celebrate the second most important Orthodox holiday after Easter - Christmas. Naturally, this day is declared non-working. In addition to this, Christmas in 2017 falls on a Saturday.

Thus, Russia in January 2017 will rest from December 31 to January 8. inclusive, which will be 9 days of full vacation.

Without exception, all Russians are concerned about the work schedule, which will be approved by the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation for 2017, in order to plan their leisure time, distributing working time and rest days as conveniently and productively as possible.

It should be noted that at the beginning of June 2016, the Ministry of Labor presented a draft resolution that regulates postponement of the weekend next year 2017 in Russia. So far, this is not an approved document, but only a draft, but based on the experience of past years, it is most likely that all weekends and holidays in 2017, indicated in the draft of the Ministry of Labor, will be finally approved without any changes.

In total, in 2017 there will be 118 days off and holidays. In total, for the entire coming year, 247 working days or 1973 working hours are expected. time.

The production calendar for 2017 shows the norm of working hours for months, quarters and 2017 as a whole with 40-, 36- and 24-hour working weeks, as well as the number of working days and days off with a five-day working week with two days off.

According to Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Labor Code of the Russian Federation) (as amended by Federal Law No. 35-FZ of April 23, 2012), non-working holidays in the Russian Federation are:

  • January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 - New Year holidays;
  • January 7 - Christmas;
  • February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day;
  • March 8 - International Women's Day;
  • May 1 - Spring and Labor Day;
  • May 9 - Victory Day;
  • June 12 - Day of Russia;
  • November 4 is National Unity Day.

The Labor Code of the Russian Federation established that if a weekend and a non-working holiday coincide, the day off is transferred to the next working day after the holiday. Thus, in 2017, days off are transferred:

  • from Saturday 4 November to Monday 6 November.

The exception is weekends coinciding with non-working holidays in January. In accordance with Art. 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation has the right to transfer two days off from the number of days off coinciding with non-working January holidays to other days in the next calendar year. Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 04.08.2016 No. 756 provides for the postponement of days off:

  • from Sunday 1 January for Friday 24 February;
  • from Saturday 7 January to Monday 8 May.

In accordance with the "Procedure for calculating the norm of working time for certain calendar periods of time (month, quarter, year), depending on the established duration of working time per week", approved by order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia dated August 13, 2009 No. 588n, this norm is calculated according to the calculated five-day schedule working week with two days off on Saturday and Sunday, based on the duration of daily work (shift):

  • with a 40-hour work week - 8 hours;
  • with a 36-hour work week - 7.2 hours;
  • with a 24-hour work week - 4.8 hours.

The duration of the working day or shift immediately preceding a non-working holiday is reduced by one hour. In 2017, such pre-holiday working days are:

  • February 22;
  • March 7;
  • the 3rd of November.

The norm of working time calculated in the specified order applies to all modes of work and rest.

An example of calculating the norm of working hours in November 2017 with a five-day working week with two days off (initial data: 21 working days, on November 3, the working day was reduced by 1 hour):

  • calculation for a 40-hour work week:
    (8 hours x 21 days) - 1 hour = 167 hours;

  • (7.2 hours x 21 days) - 1 hour = 150.2 hours;

  • (4.8 hours x 21 days) - 1 hour = 99.8 hours.

In 2017, 247 working days, including 3 working days reduced by one hour. Calculation of the norm of working hours for 2017 with a five-day working week with two days off:

  • with a 40 hour work week:
    (8 hours x 247 days - 3 hours) = 1973 hours;
  • with a 36-hour work week:
    (7.2 hours x 247 days - 3 hours) = 1775.4 hours;
  • with a 24-hour work week:
    (4.8 hours x 247 days - 3 hours) = 1182.6 hours.
