Do-it-yourself heating pad for a teapot - patterns, decoration. Do-it-yourself teapot dolls from different materials: detailed instructions for making them Doll heating pad made of nylon

Teapot dolls have always been popular. This is one of the details of the tea ceremony. This thing looks like a big doll whose skirt is filled with insulation. It retains the warmth of the tea that is under this skirt for a long time. In the USSR, such woman dolls were created in the form of women with a curvaceous figure and a skirt. You can read about how to make it in our master class on creating a doll for a samovar.

On this moment Such teapot dolls are made by almost every craftswoman who is interested in sewing dolls. Each one has its own special knitted doll- matryoshka in life size, precisely with the energy of the craftswoman herself, her love invested in this product.

They are made in different ways: using a sewing machine, knitting needles or crochet hook. This is not always a doll in the literal sense of the word. Animal warmers, tildes, etc. are often created for teapots. It takes very little time to create such a doll., and she brings a lot of joy and smiles. With a small amount of materials you can create a real masterpiece with your own hands.

It’s easy to make such a doll yourself, you just need to prepare some materials:

  • Fabric, cotton or fleece.
  • Special insulation.
  • Yarn floss for creating and decorating hair.
  • Needle, sharp scissors, thread and sewing machine.
  • Lace, ribbons, buttons for decorating the doll.

Now we will look at a master class about the Tilda doll.

Description of the work process:

  • First, you need to measure the parameters of the teapot, after that you need to make patterns for a hot water bottle doll for the teapot and create patterns.
  • Place the patterns on the fabric, trace everything with chalk, allow for allowances of about 1 cm on each side. Next, cut out the parts.
  • Sew together the pieces without touching the bottom. Turn the product right side out.
  • Fill the product with filler and sew it up.
  • Then cut out the lining according to the pattern and make the same parts from the filling. We sew the lining together with the padding polyester and leave a hole.
  • We sew the doll blank together with the part along the circumference, then turn it inside out through the hole and sew it up.
  • Cut a piece of fabric and attach it, sewing it at the bottom of the product.
  • We make details for the dress from fleece. We sew them together.
  • We make a wig for the doll from floss threads and glue it to her head. We shape the face: brown the cheeks and draw the eyes.
  • Ready-made dress put on the doll. We decorate the dress with ribbons and a button.
  • Create an apron and put it on top of the dress. Decorate with ribbons.

The doll is ready. Now you can constantly enjoy hot tea and not be afraid that it will quickly cool down.

Doll hot water bottle

A plastic heating pad or how to sew a heating pad for a teapot.

If there is an old doll left in the closet from the kids, but you don’t want to throw it away, then you can use it to make a unique doll for a teapot. Not only modern dolls will look great, but also old dolls. If the doll has no body parts, it is still suitable for creating a heating pad.

You need to take two rectangular pieces and a wire. Sew the material to form a cylinder. We sew the lining skirt with padding polyester and combine it with the main skirt.

We will make two rings from the wire, the diameter of which should be equal to the top of the skirt and its bottom. We connect the rings using the same wire. Place it inside the skirt. We sew the upper circle on top of the skirt, bending its edge. Sew a dress for the doll and the heating pad will be ready.

From nylon and bottle

How to make a woman for a teapot from tights? You need to take a simple plastic bottle, wrap it with padding polyester and some nylon tights the length of the bottle blank.

First we create the face. To do this, roll up a ball of filler, place it in a bottle and a needle and thread, and shape the spout. Then we add more filler and make the cheeks, chin and forehead. Next, you can draw or glue eyes, embroider a mouth. Connect the place where the neck should be with threads.

We pull the other part of the tights up and take it out through the neck. We do the doll's hair. We create the hands for the doll from a piece of wire, prepare the wire for the fingers. We wrap the fingers with filler, connecting the parts to each other. Next, we will completely wrap the doll’s palm and arm. We cover it with nylon tights. We decorate the fingers and highlight them with threads.

There is no need to make legs, as it is intended for a teapot.

All that remains is to create the outfit. We sew a jacket, then big skirt, we insulate it with padding polyester. We decorate clothes with ribbons and lace. You can tie a scarf on your head, and then you will get a wonderful grandmother doll for a teapot. Instead of a bottle, you can use wire as the basis for such a doll. Then cover this frame with nylon and make a suit. We create the head and arms separately and connect all the parts.

Doll for samovar master class

Warmer dolls can be in the shape of animals, as we said earlier, so we will explain to you how to make with your own hands doll for samovar in the shape of a rooster. To make it, you will need the following materials.

The master class was prepared for the website by our needlewoman Zhanym - Mukhametgalieva Zili.

In my master class, I put together all the scattered master classes of other craftswomen, and I will show you how I do it. I will show a lot of things in a simplified version, because we are just making a hot water bottle doll. The master class turned out to be long, so I thank those who had the patience to watch it to the end.

What we need:

  • wire (I took the one that is used to conduct electricity);
  • the thicker batting (in our store it costs 55 rubles per meter);
  • electrical tape or tape;
  • padding polyester;
  • flesh-colored nylon tights (it’s better to be paler, otherwise you’ll end up looking black) and better those that are cheaper, with less elastane (they stretch better);
  • paints, I use gouache (masters use a special one - acrylic);
  • buttons on the stem with a smooth surface (approximately like a 10-kopeck coin or a little more);
  • transparent varnish (can also be used for nails);
  • false eyelashes;
  • hair yarn;
  • threads to match the tights and a large darning needle;
  • glue, any kind for gluing the material (I used Titan), or you can use a glue gun, if you have one;
  • insulating tape;
  • tools;
  • and of course, material to dress our doll.

Let's start with the frame of the skirt.

1. To do this, measure the diameter of our kettle at its widest point, i.e. where the spout and handle are. And also its height. You may have your own measurements, my teapot has a circumference of 72 cm and a height of 20 cm.

Using wire cutters, cut off one wire 76 cm long, one 30 cm long and four 24 cm long. Cut the batting 75x30 cm.

2. Connect a wire 76 cm and 30 cm long into a circle, wrap the junction with electrical tape. On a wire 24 cm long, mark 2 cm at each end and bend it as shown in the figure. Next, connect the small circle to the large one, as in the figure, and wrap the junction with electrical tape. This will be the wire frame of the skirt.

3. Now take the prepared piece of batting, sew the side edges and cover our frame with batting, as in the picture. On a small circle, we collect the excess batting into folds on the back.

4. Let's sew a lining for the skirt. I took the material for the lower lining a little darker 75x22 cm, cut out a circle with a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the upper circle of the frame. We sew the rectangle along the side cut, gather the top and sew it to the circle.

For the top lining, we will cut out five wedges, sew them along the side cuts towards each other, and in the last side seam we do not sew until about 10 cm from the top cut (otherwise we will not be able to put the lining on the frame). Let's connect the top lining with the bottom one and put it on the frame. I hem the circumference of the lower frame to the batting so that the lining does not move back and forth. Well, we manually sew the upper lining to the upper circumference of the skirt frame.

Body frame.

5. Let's make the body frame. I looked through a lot of master classes, but I couldn’t find anywhere exactly how to make a torso. I'll show you how I do it.

From one piece of wire I twist a circle, slightly smaller than the upper circumference of the skirt. From another piece of wire I assemble a structure like the one in the first picture: neck, shoulders, torso. I attach it to the circle, wrap the joints with electrical tape. For the arms, I cut the wire, about 30 cm long, and wrap it with electrical tape to the shoulders. My total body length was about 16 cm.

6. Now - palms. Usually the wire consists of several strands (mine has two). I pulled them out with a knife and pliers. As shown in the picture, I made blanks for fingers out of them, joined them into palms and wrapped them with electrical tape. Now, again using electrical tape, we attach the palms to the hands.

7. Let's start wrapping our palms with padding polyester. Let's cut strips from the padding polyester, preferably longer ones. For convenience, let's spread our fingers. And we begin to wrap our fingers (usually I start with the little finger) with padding polyester, like a bandage when we cut ourselves.

8. I first wrap my hands with unnecessary material (to save money, I wrapped it with leftover fleece), then cut a square from the padding polyester, folded in half and sew it to the arm and palm. We also wrap the neck with a small piece of padding polyester. For the body, we cut off something like a shirt like the one in the fourth picture, and sew it to the body, to the armholes. We fill the middle of the body with unnecessary leftover material and sew up the bottom of the body.

9. For the palms, we will sew gloves from stockings. The pictures show how I did it. In the master class, the craftswoman pulled the stocking onto a wire frame, then traced the palm, stitched it and cut it out. I tried this, but even when unstretched, the gloves look great on the palm, and it was more comfortable for me.

10. Cut rectangles from the stocking with a length equal to the length of the arm and a width equal to the girth of the arm. Sew the side sections, turn them inside out, put them on the arms and sew them to the palms.

For body: attach the body to a piece of stocking folded in two, sew lines along the neck and shoulders, cut it out, pull it over the body and sew it to the armholes of the sleeves. If you want to make a chest for the doll, tear off a piece from the padding polyester and form balls, place them in the proper place, and stitch the bottom of the body. And that’s it, all that remains is to sew the body to the top of the skirt frame.

Head.

There are wonderful master classes by outstanding craftswomen. Video courses by E. Lavrentieva are something. I'll show you what I learned from them.

11. I love this process. You always get a different result. Well, let's begin.

We form a ball from padding polyester, put it in a stocking, stretch it and secure it at the top and bottom (I used hair clips for this perfectly). For the nose, take a padding polyester, as in the picture, and put it in place of the nose. You need to take a longer needle (darning needle with a sharp end), threads to match the stockings. Let's start tightening.

12. Forming the nose.

First, I use my fingers to press down the bridge of the nose and the wings of the nose.

For convenience and symmetry, I use pins to mark the places of the ties. First we will make the bridge of the nose, to do this we will pull together numbers 1 and 4 (we leave the tail of the thread) back and forth, tie the threads at number 1. Insert the needle from 1 to number 3, then to number 2 and bring it out to number 1, pull it together, tie the threads. We insert the needle from number 1 to number 4. And we do the same with the other side.

Nose wings: from number 4 we return to number 3. Next, we insert the needle into number 1 and return to number 3, the thread remains on top of the wings, we kind of go around it. We tighten it, do the same operation again, tie knots. Same thing on the other side.

We stitch the bridge of the nose, tie the threads into a knot and cut them off.

13. We tear off pieces from the padding polyester (we actually tear it off, not cut it off, it’s fluffier and more voluminous) and form two balls for the cheeks and two strips for the lips.

We put them under.

14. Before I start tightening, I press the places of the eye sockets and the outer corners of the lips with my fingers, as if outlining them.

Forming a smile. We insert the needle from number 1 to 2, leave a tail and then to the point of the base of the ears, number 3 returns to number 1 again. Tighten, but not too much, as you like the smile. Tie the thread into a knot, do not cut the thread, insert it into the left eye and repeat as with the right side.

15. What we got. Using a needle, I slightly stretch the upper and lower lips.

16. From the middle of the lower lip (1) to number 2, then to number 3. Return to 2 and again to 3, tighten a little. From number 3 to number 2, then to number 4, again to number 3, then back to number 2, tighten. Same thing on the other side. In order of entry: 2 => 5 => 3 => 2, tighten. And we return to number 1, stretch the thread and tie it into a knot, without tearing off the thread.

17. Now we do the same with the lower lip: 1 => 3 => 2 => 1, tighten, 1 => 4 => 2 => 1, tighten, tie the knot and cut the thread.

18. We slightly correct the smile with a needle, and it is ready.

I stitch the eye sockets a little more so that the eyes sit deeper. We insert the needle from the back of the head along the line that I approximately marked and stitch it back and forth, tightening it a little.

19. The eye sockets were tightened and the back of our heads became flat.

In this case, we cut off a small square from the stocking, equal to the back of the head, and sew it around the perimeter of the back of the head, leaving a little unstitched at the bottom, stuff it with padding polyester, rounding the back of the head, and sew it to the end.

20. You can make ears if you wish. We make a blank like in the picture. We insert them on top of the supposed place of the ears, and give them shape with our hands.

And we pull it away.

21. Eyes.

For the eyes I take buttons, about the size of a 10-kopeck coin. It is better to take a button with a stem and a lighter color. Craftswomen use acrylic paint, but I don’t have one, so I took simple gouache. For convenience, you can place the button on a toothpick. In the picture I showed the sequence.

First, paint it with white paint in several layers, let it dry, then paint the iris, let it dry again, and only then apply black paint to the pupil; when it dries, apply highlights with white paint. Let it dry thoroughly and cover it in several layers with clear varnish. Here is such a primitive eye.

22. Now let's do the eyelids. As I showed in the picture, we cut off small semicircles and glue them in place of the eyelids. When dry, you can sew or glue them to their rightful place. I glue the eyelashes only after I sew the hair, so as not to accidentally touch them. One eyelash is enough for two eyes (I cut it in half).

23. Hair.

I wrap yarn around the book, the width is equal to the back of the head.

I put it between two sheets and sew it on the machine. The line is the middle.

I'm putting away the paper.

And I sew it in the middle of the back of the head.

We braid it into braids. We apply makeup to the doll and glue eyelashes.

Next we sew the head to the body. If you just sew it on, the head may wobble. First, I make a hole on the head in the place of the future neck and, you can make a depression with a pencil or finger, and only then I put it on the neck and sew it on.

All that remains is to sew an outfit for our doll. But this is up to your discretion and rich imagination.

Well, in general, that's all. The process is labor-intensive, but the result is enjoyable. I wish you to enjoy your work too.

Teapot dolls have always been in demand. This is one of the attributes of the tea ceremony. Such a doll is usually an insulated doll whose skirt is quilted with insulation. She preserves the warmth of the tea that is under this skirt for a long time. In the USSR, such dolls were sewn in the form of young ladies with a full body and a skirt and represented a real woman. Plastic heating pad

If your children left behind an old doll, but you don’t want to throw it away, then you can use it to make an exclusive doll for a teapot. Not only modern dolls will look great, but also dolls from the USSR. Almost everyone has one of these. If the doll has no limbs, it will still be suitable for making a heating pad.

You need to take two rectangular pieces and a wire. Sew the material to form a cylinder. Sew the lining skirt with padding polyester and combine it with the main skirt.

Make two rings from the wire, the diameter of which should be equal to the top of the skirt and its bottom. Connect the rings using the same wire. Place inside the skirt. Sew the upper circle to the top of the skirt, folding its edge. Sew an outfit for the doll and the heating pad will be ready.

From nylon and bottle

How to make a teapot doll from tights? You need to take an ordinary plastic bottle, wrap it with padding polyester and a piece of nylon tights, the length of the bottle blank.

Shape the face. The photo shows how to do this. To do this, roll up a ball of filler, place it in a bottle and use a needle and thread to decorate the nose. Then add more filler and shape the cheeks, chin and forehead. Draw or glue eyes, embroider a mouth. Tighten the place where the neck should be with threads.

Pull the rest of the tights up and out through the neck. Give the doll hair.

Make hands for the doll from a piece of wire, prepare the wire for the fingers. Wrap your fingers with filler, connecting them to each other. Then wrap the doll's palm and arm completely. Cover with nylon tights. Decorate the fingers, highlighting them with threads.

Modern cookbooks are simply full of recipes for winter drinks that will allow you to warm up after a long walk in the cold. This includes all kinds of coffee cocktails, hot fruit drinks, and sbitni brewed according to traditional Slavic recipes. However, nothing can be better than just a cup of well-brewed tea. Moreover, it was prepared according to all the rules, in a porcelain teapot, which was previously doused with boiling water so that the tea leaves could reveal their taste and aroma. After all, tea bags or even pyramids will never be able to make a high-quality drink; after all, this is an ordinary fast food tea. To make the teapot retain its heat longer and to make the kitchen look even cozier, we suggest you make a teapot doll in the best traditions of tea drinking with your own hands.

We make a doll for a teapot with our own hands in a step-by-step MK

To make a doll for the Dunyasha teapot you will need:
  • 1.5 liter plastic bottle
  • unnecessary stockings or nylon tights (the color of the skin of our craft will depend on their color)
  • scissors
  • needles
  • threads
  • filler (cotton wool, padding polyester or holofiber)
  • fabric for making clothes
  • woolen threads or a special doll wig
  • blanks for eyes (you can do without them and just embroider the face)
  • paints
  • tassel
How to make a doll for a teapot “Dunyasha” (base):

1) We begin our master class by preparing the basis for the craft. From plastic bottle cut off the bottom and put it aside - we won’t need it. We also twist the cork and remove it.

2) We wrap the bottle with filler in one layer and secure it so that it does not move anywhere. Next, we cut off a piece of stocking of a suitable size and fasten it to the bottle so that it does not move anywhere.

3) We place filler in the face area, while on one side we put a little more padding polyester to form a nose. Using a few stitches with a needle, we shape the nose so that we get the bridge of the nose and nostrils.

4) Slightly stretch the padding polyester inside the head blank to create cheeks. We form a small flagellum from padding polyester and push it into the blank under the nose - this will be the mouth.

5) Take the needle again and continue to shape the face - let's look at how this is done step by step. We make dimples on the cheeks, eye sockets and lips with a “bow”. If the padding polyester begins to roll somewhere in the wrong direction, do not forget to correct it in time.

6) When the face is ready, you can sew on the eyes. You can buy them in a special craft store or take them from an old doll. Or you can do without them altogether and embroider yourself.

7) Using paints and brushes, we give our doll a make-up, rouging her cheeks and tinting her lips. In addition, be sure to draw long eyelashes.

8) The face is ready! Now carefully sew up the free ends of the stocking at the top and bottom.

9) All that remains is to sew on the hair. They can be made from different materials: from the usual wool threads or an old wig. For beginners, the most convenient option would be to simply buy ready-made “hair” in a dollmaker’s store.

How to make a doll for a teapot “Dunyasha” (hands):

1) The hands of our craft will also be made of tights. We take a fairly long piece of stocking and cut it in half lengthwise - these will be blanks for the handles. We sew each of these blanks in half so that we get a tube. We type it with padding polyester.

2) Using a needle and thread, we begin to form brushes and fingers - for this we make several stitches where necessary. In addition, we additionally stitch the workpiece in the elbow area so that the arms are slightly bent.

3) Sew both arms on the sides to the body.

How to make a doll for a teapot “Dunyasha” (clothing and decoration):

To make our doll look homely and cozy, we dress her up in a spacious sundress in an ethnic style. To make the edges of clothes more beautiful, you can decorate them with colored braid or even embroider patterns on them by hand. You can hang bright beads on the doll’s neck, and decorate the ears with earrings - the craft will look the way you want. That's all, the “Dunyasha” teapot doll is ready, you can brew tea and sit down at the table!

In the master class we gave only one of many examples of teapot dolls that you can make yourself. To make such crafts, it is not necessary to use a frame in the form of a plastic bottle. Knitting lovers can do similar crochet work. In this case, the doll's skirt will more closely resemble a knitted hat, and the body and head will need to be sewn onto the top of its head.

“Classic” teapot dolls are made of thick felt. This material was not chosen by chance - it preserves the body well, but does not get particularly dirty, which is very important, because the craft will always be near the food. Schemes for such dolls can be easily found on specialized forums, but it is much easier to come up with and draw them yourself.

Helpful information:
" Warmer"
“Tea dolls”, “hot water bottle dolls” - all these names have long had the same meaning
- these are decorative dolls that are placed on top of the teapot. They are sewn from several layers thick fabric and have a cotton wool lining inside.
Tea baba is a quilted attachment made of wool or fabric stuffed with cotton wool, placed on the teapot to maintain the temperature of the tea. Babas were especially popular in the 19th century. Currently, they are more often used as a decorative element of the kitchen interior.
The name “tea baba”, or simply “baba”, comes from the shape of the nozzle - rag doll female in a sundress. Later, various options for attachments in the shape of animals appeared, fairy-tale heroes etc. In the European tea tradition, the most common are babas in the form of hats and teapot covers. A hot water bottle for a teapot was an essential attribute of tea drinking.” A heating pad is a cap made of warm fabric that was put on a teapot to keep the tea leaves hot. Warmers were made in the shape of roosters, women or chickens, nesting dolls, bears, etc.
Warmers were often a masterpiece of handicraft and were the pride of every good housewife. Tea drinking in families had the character of a real “tea ceremony”, gathering the whole family, guests, and good neighbors around the samovar.
Natural materials are used to make the doll’s heating pad – cotton fabric chintz and batting, which ensures the hygiene of the model. And for the manufacture of national dresses, artificial fabrics are mainly used - they are more decorative and beautiful, since a hot water bottle doll is more of a table decoration.
Tea warmers were given to friends for various holidays. Dolls on teapots in Russia appeared in early XVIII century, when tea entered everyday life and became a national drink.

"Tilda"
When Norwegian Tonne Finanger made her first doll, the tilde, she could not even imagine that this cute Scandinavian toy would unite needlewomen from all over the world in search of new stories, materials and ideas for a whole world called TILDA.
The collective “tilde craze” began in 1999 after the publication of two books by the author – “Tilda Christmas” and “Tilda Easter”.
Almost ten years later, the brand has become so popular that thousands of needlework accessories (fabrics, threads, buttons, patterns, etc.) are sold all over the world under the Tilda brand. Other designers (in particular, the Russian Oksana Yarmolnik) work in a similar technique, but still the dolls from Tony (this is how the name of the Frauleins Finanger tildomanki pronounce in Russian) are distinguished by their inherent individuality. Each figure has its own – and quite capricious – character and prefers to be called by name.
