Perfect nails at home. Perfect manicure - the secrets of the master. Treat top layer

One small detail can often change the whole image, either for the better or for the worse. And a manicure is just one of them.

For, as a rule, they turn to professionals in salons. But in fact, even those who are not used to painting and caring for their nails on their own can keep them in perfect condition without much effort.

How to make the perfect manicure?

More attention

So that you don’t want to hide your hands in your pockets, provide them with care - it should be as thorough as facial skin care. Applying cuticle cream and oil is something that needs to be taken care of on a daily basis. Full-fledged care sessions - with scrubs, masks and impregnated gloves - would be nice to arrange every week. Plus, on the skin of your hands, apply excess night cream or serum, which in your cosmetic bag is for morning beauty rituals.

During break

Those who are used to visiting beauty salons should allocate time at least once a week for a home manicure in between visits: adjust the shape and length of nails, exfoliate and push back the cuticle, moisturize and nourish it, soften the skin of the hands. In this case, they will always look like you just left your master.

"Own" form

At the peak of fashion - almond shape, soft square is also popular. But following trends in terms of nail shape is not always the right decision. Ideally, it should be a "reflection" of the cuticle bend.

key question

By the way, about the cuticle. Trim it or not? One way or another, this question always pops up in a conversation with the master in the salon, but not everyone knows the correct answer to it. Professionals are sure: the cuticle can only be pushed back or removed with the help of a remover gel, since this skin roller performs a protective function - it protects the nail root from damage, pollution and infections.

Neither here nor there

Another important point is how not to file your nails. 99% of girls with great zeal move the file back and forth in order to quickly get rid of the length and adjust the shape to the desired one. You should not do this, otherwise the nails will begin to exfoliate. It is necessary to file nails in the direction from one edge to the middle - only in one direction.

combat training

A separate point in creating a manicure is the preparation of nails for applying varnish. You can’t do without a base coat, but even before this step, you need to make sure that your nails are smooth and clean. It is important to degrease them, otherwise the varnish will not hold as well as we would like - the “life expectancy” of the manicure will be short.

Take a disposable mascara wand, soak it in nail polish remover and rub your nails a little to make sure they clean the surface. But you should not be too zealous: there is a risk of scratching and damaging your nails if the pressure is too great.

Verified color

Not always a manicure turns out to be successful - and this may be due to the wrong choice of colors. It is best to have a set of basic shades in your arsenal. When it comes to manicure, it is translucent pink, red, powdery (by the way, it should be such that the cuticle does not look reddish against its background), as well as dark blue, dark purple or burgundy. They are versatile, go with everyone and are guaranteed to give nails a neat look.

sealed

It's a shame when the varnish, applied yesterday with perfect precision, is chipped at the tips. To prevent this from happening, be sure to varnish the tip of the nail. When it is "sealed", the manicure retains its flawless look much longer.

Careful!

Remember: your nails are not an aluminum can opener or even a screwdriver. They cannot be used in place of tools. They are not intended for this - and if you turn a blind eye to this, the condition of the nails will sooner or later show that they need to be handled more carefully.

beauty food

When the perfect manicure is ready, remember that the appearance of the nails is affected not only by care "from the outside", but also by "internal" nourishment. Add to your diet more foods that contain, firstly, calcium, and secondly, omega-3. They will help strengthen nails and improve their condition.

11. Invisibles

12. Steam

But also in everything that concerns nails. Manicure fashion is also capricious and changeable. There are own principles for choosing the shade of varnish, the shape and length of the nails, as well as the principles of caring for them. We have selected the most important trends and rules that will help you create the perfect manicure at home.

Helping hand

The main secret of the beauty of the hands can be called massage. And not only professional, which can be done in the salon, at best, once every two weeks. Five-minute stroking, kneading fingers and hands can prolong the youthfulness of the skin, remove dryness and even narrow swollen veins. The direction of movement is only from the fingertips to the wrists. You need to stroke and knead both the back of the hand and the palm.

sawmill

To the main rule of filing a nail (the nail file moves only in one direction to avoid delamination), it is important to add a few more comments. First, never file your nails from the side - this thins the plate and leads to brittleness. Secondly, do not sand the damaged and exfoliating areas. This will make things worse. It is better to cut off the nail immediately. Thirdly, the nail file should be flexible and soft, with the smallest abrasive particles. These are the main secrets of the perfect manicure.

Form Report

Natural and smooth nails are still in fashion. No squares, triangles and other geometry. An ideal manicure is when the free edge of the nail repeats the outlines of its bed.

Said - cut off

Today, most high-end manicurists refuse to trim the cuticle. It is really possible to cut it off only in emergency cases. And so, it is better to soften the skin with a special tool and move it away. If you do this regularly, the cuticle will simply stop growing. Especially when in addition you feed it with special oil a couple of times a week. This will keep the nails in optimal condition and save the master from the desire to pick up scissors. And you will be less likely to be disturbed by the question of how to make the perfect manicure.

I will be brief

The length of the nails depends not only on our desire, but also on the condition of the nails. If you take vitamin complexes with calcium and zinc, regularly do a manicure with a strengthening base, your nails will grow well and not break. It's just not worth chasing records. Pay attention to the photo of the perfect manicure from the fashion shoot. Too long nails are vulgar and old-fashioned. The podium dictates the law: "The shorter, the better". The maximum allowable nail length is no more than 1/3 of the nail plate.

color panorama

In terms of choosing a shade of nail polish, you have complete freedom. Nail-palettes of brands today are constantly replenished with the most incredible color nuances and options. However, there are priorities here too. If last summer neon colors were in special esteem, now they have been replaced by calm, as if slightly burnt out in the sun or washed out in water, shades of yellow, blue, mint or pink. However, there are still plenty of bright options. By the way, for summer manicure they are even preferable. The fact is that pastel colors accentuate all the flaws - burrs, cuts, dry skin and other roughness of the manicure. And against the background of bright colors, all these shortcomings are not so noticeable.

My personal secrets of manicure durability and manicure tricks that you may not have known about are in this article!

Hello friends!

Go!

Rule number 1. Degrease nails

I noticed that on dry, not covered with a layer of hand cream, oils, the varnish lays down more evenly, and the manicure lasts longer. Dust, particles of sebum can be easily removed with nail polish remover or a special tool.

Rule number 2. Polish carefully

It was a controversial point. Some sources claim that the varnish holds better on silently rough nails. But for myself, I singled out such a rule for the durability of manicure: apply the first layer on carefully polished nails with a buff. By first layer, I mean the base. And this is the next rule of persistent manicure.

Rule number 3. Apply base

Without the first base coat of a special coating, even good varnishes can not stick well. Therefore, before applying decorative varnish, I always use the base. With her, even the most last longer.

Rule number 4. Take a break between layers

Another rule of persistent manicure. I apply decorative varnishes in 2 thin layers. Less often - in 3. After each layer, you need to wait until it dries. Now you understand, the thinner the layer, the less you will wait for it to dry. You can use drying, but I noticed that after it bubbles often appear on the coating 🙁

Rule number 5. Seal the edge of the nail and apply top

Each time I finish my manicure by “sealing” the edge of the nail. That is, I walk with a brush with varnish along the end of the free part of each nail. This trick significantly prolongs the durability of the manicure, especially. When all layers of decorative varnish are dry, you can apply a top fixer.

And a couple more secrets of the perfect manicure from. Nail polish dries faster if you put your fingers in cold water. And the pillow will not be imprinted on the nails (if, like me, you often do manicures at night), if you apply nourishing oil or on your fingers. To learn how to make wax for the cuticle (it is also for the ends of the hair, elbows) at home, read this article:.

I hope the article was useful for you! And what tricks do you have for durability of manicure?

I wish you beauty, first of all - internal! 😉

When doing a manicure, the free edge of the nail can be given a smooth outline of an oval or circle, as well as sharper lines, shaped in the form of a square, a pointed oval (almond-shaped). “What to choose for you is the easiest way to determine by looking at the line of the nail bed,” says Irina Kosheleva, master of manicure and pedicure of the Enigma Beauty Center. - The outer side of the nail should be similar to it, be, as it were, a mirror reflection of it. But this is not enough. Important features such as the length, shape of the fingers and the hand as a whole should also be taken into account. Manicure is also an effective means of correction. The correct shape of the nails will make any hands more elegant, while the unsuccessful one will emphasize all the flaws.

- Oval shape practically universal. Suitable for hands and fingers of any shape. This is a great way to visually lengthen short and full fingers. The length of the nails in this case can be any.

- Round form suitable for short nails (the length of the free edge is not more than 3 mm). A manicure with round nails harmoniously looks on large wide brushes and fingers, trapezoid-shaped nails.

- Almond shape is a pointed oval. This sophisticated shape looks spectacular on medium to long nails. Requires thin, long fingers and palms of graceful outlines. Not suitable for owners of a short brush and full fingers.

- Square shape good for wide nail beds and long fingers. It is also desirable that the nail plate by nature be long enough. A square is the best choice if you need to visually expand the nail plate, as well as in the case when the nails have a different shape. Also recommended for convex nail plate. A variant of this form is a soft square - when the free edge of the nail is slightly rounded at the corners. A good option for full fingers of moderate length.

An important note: when deciding on the length of the nails, one should take into account not only the desired shape, the proportions of the hand, but also the features of the figure, in particular your height. On petite women with small hands, super long nails will look a bit odd.

Perfect manicure: how to choose a color

When choosing a color coating, we, as a rule, are guided by our own preferences and fashion trends, losing sight of such important points as skin tone, the shape of nails and palms in general. But such, at first glance, an insignificant detail, like the color of varnish, can play a bad joke on us, emphasizing rough brushes or age, which, as you know, hands are one of the first to give out. Therefore, it makes sense to approach the choice of shade more thoroughly. To get started, do a simple test.

You will need two small plain pieces of fabric, scarves or scarves. One is a warm color, such as orange, terracotta, etc. The second fabric should be a cold shade - blue, raspberry, etc. Now alternately put your palm on each of the cuts and carefully observe, on the fabric of what color - cold or warm - does the skin of the hands look better, fresher, well-groomed, young? An unsuitable shade for you, on the contrary, will immediately show all the flaws: wrinkles, age spots, streaks will become more noticeable. Thus, you will determine which color palette (cold or warm) you should adhere to when choosing a color coating for nails.

For skin with a cool undertone, bluish-pink, pinkish-brown and bluish-wine enamels are suitable. And also everything that can be called "ice", "sparkling", "brilliant", "frosty", "silver". Skin with a warm undertone will be decorated with shades: warm pinks (coral, apricot, peach), honey, brown wine, golden brown and other shades of brown. Descriptive adjectives of warm palette colors such as “juicy”, “golden”, “burnt”, “spicy”, “tart” can also serve as a hint for choosing the right color.

“When choosing colored enamel, also take into account the shape of the nails and palms,” says Irina Kosheleva. — Varnishes of light shades will make the nail plate larger, visually lengthen the fingers. Too wide nails, if they are painted with bright varnish, leaving a narrow strip on each side, will look more elegant and narrow. Short square nails covered with dark enamel visually shorten the fingers and make the palm wider.

The perfect manicure: how to do it yourself

To do your own manicure, you will need: an orangewood stick, a nail file, a cuticle remover, a base polish, a colored polish, and a fixer. Prepare also a bowl of soapy water, to which it is desirable to add a few drops of lemon juice and olive oil, designed to soften and whiten the skin.

Dip your hands in a bowl of soapy water, lemon juice, and olive oil for a few minutes. Then dry your hands and remove dirt from under your nails with an orangewood stick.

Apply a cuticle remover. Wrap a piece of cotton wool around the stick and gently scrape off the skin around the entire circumference. With light circular motions, remove all its remnants from the surface of the nail. If you have brittle and exfoliating nails, use a nail strengthener. Wait for it to dry.

Shape your nails with a nail file. “You need to file first from one edge of the nail to the center, and then from the other - also to the center,” recalls Irina Kosheleva. - Do this with gentle movements and in no case file from side to side, this makes the nail plate fragile. For a perfect manicure, it is important that all nails, regardless of shape, are the same length.

To give the nails an oval shape, the side walls should first be made straight, check that they are even, and then form an oval top with a nail file.

To square your nails, file the free edge of the nail perpendicular to your finger. Just smooth the corners with a nail file so that they do not scratch. Slightly rounding the corners will give you a soft square.

To give the nails an almond shape, the side walls should be evenly narrowed, finishing with rounded tips of the free edge of the nail.

To give your nails a healthy shine, lightly buff their entire surface, from tip to base, with a soft piece of leather. This causes a rush of blood to the nails, which strengthens them and promotes growth.

Place your palm on a flat surface and apply base polish to prevent yellowing of your nails, strengthen them and make it easier to apply colored polish. Let the base dry for a few minutes.

Apply colored polish, first making one stroke in the center of the nail, and then one on both sides of the first. When the varnish is dry, apply the second layer in the same way. The amount of varnish on the brush should be medium. If you take too little, it will dry out quickly, making the surface of the nail rough, and if you take it in excess, it will smear on the skin around the nail.

Carefully correct the errors with a stick wrapped in a piece of cotton wool and dipped in nail polish remover. Let dry, then apply a fixer. To make the polish dry faster, you can soak your nails in ice water.
