How to make a curly wig. Thread wig. Preparation for work

What to wear to a child on a New Year's party? What to do to make it look bright, unusual and original? Try to offer him a brownie costume. Made based on the famous cartoon, it will surely attract the attention of others and help create a festive atmosphere. is effective and recognizable. It is characterized by certain elements of the outfit, made from improvised materials.

Housewife costume. Start with a shirt

So, we make a brownie costume. First of all, you need to sew a shirt. For its manufacture, a bright fabric with a simple print is suitable. For example, catchy red material in large white peas. It is necessary to cut the fabric on the basis of the rectangle you have built according to individual measurements. Its width is equal to the size of the chest with the addition of ten centimeters for a loose fit. The length is determined individually, depending on your desire. You can also cut out two small wedges. By sewing them into the sides of the shirt, you will give it extra volume, typical of vintage outfits.

The sleeves are cut from two rectangles of the desired length, taking into account the allowances allotted for the seams. The edges can be hemmed and inserted into the elastic, or you can leave them raw, with threads sticking out. The neck is shaped with a small rectangular cutout. With the help of folds, it will subsequently be given a rounded shape. However, you can immediately make a semicircular neckline with a patch strap and a large button. As a finishing touch, the brownie costume can be complemented by several casually made patches of material in contrasting textures and colors. This is the end of the shirt.

Hairstyle

The brownie Kuzi's costume, of course, will also require an appropriate "hair". In order to create a characteristic tousled hairstyle, you can use an unnecessary old wig. Its length is adjusted to the required size, and the effect of tangled hair is created using a comb. It remains only to fix the hairstyle with varnish or any other long-lasting styling product.

If you still don't have a wig, try using bright straw or yellow yarn. As a base, take a knitted hat in a neutral shade. Don't forget that the fabric will show through the "hair" of your homemade wig.

Along the circumference of the base, it is necessary to carefully sew the yarn of the desired length in two layers. A parting is formed in the center of the future headdress. If the base material still shows through the threads, or the hairstyle is not lush enough, sew on another layer of yarn, carefully distributing the “hair” on both sides of the parting.

Shoes

When making a costume, we also do not forget about bast shoes. The easiest way to imitate them is to use long narrow strips of linen sewn crosswise onto dance shoes or cloth slippers. You can also sew ties from the same fabric to the shoes. By wrapping them around your lower leg, you will imitate onuchi. You can choose, however, and the method is more complicated. In this case, satin ribbons are used or slippers or sandals are braided with them. To do this, two elastic bands are attached to the ankle in the area of \u200b\u200bthe sole and the buckle. They will fix the edges of the ribbons intertwined with each other.

Everything is very simple

In a word, it’s not at all difficult to make a New Year’s brownie costume. All you need is a wig or yarn and the so-called bast shoes. By the way, they can also be simply crocheted into a double thread. You can also sew them from the lining material, quilted with squares on a padding polyester. Finally, a nine-centimeter wide strip is sewn in a circle. Grooves are made along the leg. A ribbon is sewn to the back.

Do not forget also that Kuzma also had a chest with fairy tales. It can be made by connecting two plastic packages together, crocheting the resulting design with red yarn. Or take a cardboard box, add the convex parts of plasticine to it, cover it with brown paint and varnish. However, you can take a small wooden chest or box.

General impressions

Naturally, your baby and everyone present at the holiday will definitely like the brownie costume. Photos and videos, where you can capture him in such an interesting way, will delight the baby and you for many years. He will happily get used to this role, quoting his favorite phrases from a fun famous cartoon.

By the way, if you have not found a suitable material for a shirt, you can apply white peas to a red fabric using a stencil. You can draw it with white paint. Don't forget also about buttons that can be used as decorative elements. You can also decorate the “hairstyle” with a small bow. In a word, making such a costume is quite simple. You won't need much experience. An amateur sewing even with little experience can make it. But the child will have a lot of emotions, do not hesitate at all!

Well, who can argue that the New Year is a holiday of carnivals and fabulous costumes! Sometimes not only children, but also adults want to appear in elegant stylized dresses, crowns and tiaras, in hats with feathers and with a sword. Princesses and pages, Thumbelina and Little Red Riding Hoods, Pierrot and Malvinas - this is how many people want to look on a fabulous holiday. And in this case, the wig, as the completion of the image, becomes a significant detail of the outfit. It is not always worth running to the store for an expensive purchase, because you can make a fabulous wig yourself using available means and methods. Experimenting!

Paper strip or tape wig .

One of the "instant" wigs is a wig made from strips of plain or crepe paper. The basis for attaching paper hair will be a frame made of thick paper or thin cardboard. We measure the circumference of the head, measure this distance on paper and cut a strip 5 cm wide. If the length of the paper sheet is not enough, cut off an additional strip and glue the missing centimeters. Then we measure with a centimeter the transverse distance from ear to ear through the top of the head. Cut off another cardboard strip and glue it across. Two more identical cardboard strips need to be cut and glued to form the front and back of the wig base. For greater reliability, you can add cardboard strips on the sides. We got a mesh frame, on which we will attach paper hair.

We cut strips of the desired length from thin colored or corrugated paper. We glue them one by one on a cardboard base. Want a curly wig? We twist strips of plain paper onto a pencil. And if you have saved unnecessary tape cassettes, consider yourself lucky! A tape recorder would make a great brown hair for a New Year's wig. If you have the patience to glue the tape to get lush hair, then you can braid the braids. To add festivity, we attach sequins to separate strips. It is also easy to tie bows or pin jewelry on such hair.

Wig from threads of yarn for knitting.

There are several ways to make a thread wig. Choose the most convenient.

1 way.

For such a wig, you will need yarn, determine the thickness of the thread based on the calculation: the thicker the yarn, the more it will be needed. However, yarn that is too thin can tangle. Therefore, choose threads of medium or slightly thinner than average thickness. You will also need two stencils for winding the thread. They can be a piece of thick cardboard, a large book, a pillow for the main length of the hair and a smaller book for bangs. We will make a thin small hat as the basis for the wig, and it is desirable that the color of the yarn and the hat match as much as possible, so everything will look like a single whole.

We wind the yarn on a stencil, make the strands thicker. There must be at least eleven main beams. More can be done, assuming that each addition should consist of two bundles for symmetrical attachment. After winding, each portion of the threads is tied on one side and cut on the other.

For fastening we use a crochet hook. We put it through the fabric of the cap, grab the thread for tying, then thread it out again, tie the bundle to a double knot. By analogy, we fasten the remaining beams.

We tie bundles of threads shorter in the same way to the front of the cap, if necessary, cut off the excess length. Now, putting on a hat, you will find yourself in a new image. As a side note: if there is no suitable hat, you can quickly crochet it from the same yarn.

2 way.

The choice of yarn and obtaining strands of hair is similar to the previous method. To fasten strands of yarn, we use a strip of fabric, the length of which is measured from the beginning of hair growth from the forehead to the middle of the back of the head, and the width is 6-10 cm.

We fasten strands of yarn close to each other along the entire length of the strip. On the inside of the fabric strip, sew two small metal combs. With them, the wig will be fixed on the hair. Such hair can be braided or decorated with bows and flowers.

Choose the method that suits you the most. Now, you are almost ready for the carnival!

Have you been invited to a costume party? Is the child having a matinee in the garden, and does he need a costume of a fairy-tale character? Do you want to arrange a family photo session in unusual costumes? To make such images complete, you need an appropriate wig. It is not necessary to spend money on a purchase, it can be easily made with your own hands from improvised materials.

This element of the costume can be of various shapes and colors, depending on the purpose. The manufacturing technology lies in the fact that threads of a certain length are attached to the base (hat, knitted mesh, piece of fabric with an elastic band) using ordinary threads of a needle or hook and scissors.

The density and length of the "hair" can be easily adjusted. The process is quite painstaking, it will require patience and perseverance from you. But the big advantage in the end will be that it is made with your own hands, which means with love and care.

Important! When creating a wig from yarn, consider the weight of the finished product. Hair that is too heavy will not stay on the head, which will create inconvenience during use.

With frequent use of homemade hair, do not forget about care. The scalp sweats under the abundance of warm threads, and from the outside the product is covered with dust. It is recommended to wash every 3-4 months or when it gets dirty. For washing, you need a little powder, warm water. It is not necessary to squeeze strongly, the wig dries at room temperature. You need to comb your hair after drying, so as not to damage the hair. To do this, it is better to use a comb with rare teeth.

In addition to a person, children's dolls often need new hair. Parents of girls know firsthand about the problem when a child's favorite toy becomes almost bald. Fast a yarn wig for a doll will help to correct the situation. In this way, you can not only save your favorite toy, but also entertain the child - involve him in creating a new hairstyle for the doll. This process for children can be fascinating, in addition, it develops fine motor skills, attentiveness, and perseverance.

What is necessary? Choosing yarn and tools

To create an artificial hairstyle, you need a small set of materials. Usually, all the necessary components are in the house of any woman; if necessary, they can be easily obtained from friends or in the nearest store.

First of all, you need to decide on the color and type of thread. Today, needlework stores offer a huge selection of a wide variety of knitting materials. The properties of the future wig depend on their composition and characteristics. A fluffy woolen thread is not the best option, the hair will constantly get tangled, and the head will be hot in such a suit. Silky and synthetic threads will fit better in the hair, it will be easier to make a wig from such threads. Acrylic yarn is also suitable, it is convenient to create voluminous hair with it.

Important! Too thin threads will constantly get confused, it is better to choose an average thickness.

We will need:

  • 1-2 skeins of yarn;
  • knitted hat (or crocheted);
  • threads are simple in tone of yarn;
  • scissors;
  • elastic bands, bows, hairpins.

Important! The hat should fit snugly around the head and be similar in color to the yarn so that it does not show through.

Walkthrough

Here is an example of creating a yarn wig with two tails from Danna Villar, a young creative mom from Texas:

On the Internet, there are many master classes on creating such wigs with your own hands using different techniques. Anyone can choose the method they like and make this element of the costume without much effort and expense.

What is the difference in making a wig for an adult and a child?

The technique of creation for an adult and a child is the same. The difference can only be in size: the baby's head is smaller in circumference, so the size of the wig must be appropriate so as not to fall off. For better fastening, you can think of special elastic bands or ties.

It must also be taken into account that a wig made of yarn based on a hat is very warm. If you wear it for an event in a warm environment, such as a kindergarten, the child will quickly become hot. To avoid overheating, it is advisable to periodically remove the hair.

The way out of the situation can be a base not from a hat (which already warms the head in itself), but from a thin crocheted mesh base. Strands of hair are attached to it in a different way. To do this, thin strands of a double-folded thread are inserted into the holes of the cap, forming a loop. Next, the ends of this strand must be threaded into the loop and tightened. We do this all over the place. The thickness of the hair can also be adjusted.

Important! To achieve the effect of wavy hair, it is enough to dissolve the thread, which is usually twisted from two or three components. The process is lengthy, if you have enough time and desire to make an original costume, then the result is worth it.

Another example is a thread wig with a crown:

By combining different colors in the work, you can achieve a bright and unexpected effect. You can decorate a wig with a variety of decorative elements, ribbons, clips, hairpins, depending on the image being created. Do not be afraid to experiment, and the images you create will bring positive emotions not only to you and your loved ones, but also to those around you!

And now our former golf, impregnated with PVA, has dried up - you can proceed to further work.

With a pencil, mark the hairline (grabbing whiskey) and parting. We draw concentric circles with the center at the crown. On them then we will sew tresses.

Carefully trim the jersey just below the hairline (the wig may shrink slightly when stitching).

We remove the remnants of knitwear and winding from the neck of the doll. We take out the film from the resulting base cap.
Ready!

Now you can sew on tresses.

Wefts are "fringes" of hair used to make wigs. But how they are sewn - I will talk about this later.

While I was having breakfast, the forum began to fail - so I did not wait until my conscience tormented him, and went shopping. Therefore, I write the end of the wig master class after dinner.

First of all, we need to sort out the tresses along the length of the hair. Save the longest ones for the parting and crown, the middle ones for the middle part, and the shorter ones for the sheathing of the edges of the wig.
The seam is overcast.
First, we sew the wefts along the edge of the wig from its INSIDE side. This is done so that if you suddenly want to comb the doll's hair up, the edge of the base cap is not visible.

Then sew the edge of the cap along the outside.

Now - the most painstaking and requiring perseverance: we sew tresses along the parting. Now I will try to explain how to do this (it’s easier to show it on your hands!). In order not to be seen when laying out the hair on the parting of the basis of our tresses (that is, the factory stitching that connects the strands into a fringe), we apply it to the parting line so that the roots of the strands coming out of this stitching lie on the parting line. We sew with an overcast seam, keeping track of where we have the bases of the strands, and where is their base stitch. Try to mask the ends of this parting hair well among the hair that trims the edges of the cap. Especially in the front.

After sewing completely one side of the parting, turn the wig inside out and go through the needle back stitch, attaching the roots of the strands to the parting line.

Now PIP your hair in the opposite direction. If you do everything correctly (more precisely, you correctly understood my short explanations) - on one side of the parting line of your wig, hair will “grow” without any hint that the strands are held on the basis of the stitching.

We begin to fill in the surface of the wig by sewing on the braids in the circles that we drew on the base of the cap. We go from bottom to top and so far we are working with only one half of the wig. That is, the tress is sewn along an arc, from the occipital part of the parting to the frontal part and vice versa. When you reach the end, bend the weft at a slightly upward angle and continue sewing it on the next line. If the tress is over, substitute a new one (do not forget to fasten the ends properly!) And continue sewing until you fill the entire half of the cap. In fact, we sew the wefts with a kind of stretched zigzag.

In order to hide our corners, zigzags and a visible base stitch, we sew another one right next to the weft on the parting line - over the sewn wefts that "fill" the space. We sew in the same way as the first weft on the parting: first, with an overcast seam, we attach the base stitch to the cap, then - back with a needle on the wrong side, we fix the bases of the strands.

We wind the ends of this second parting tress under the tress of the first lower semicircle and cover it with hair (you can even sew a little so that they sit in place).

We bend the hair of both parting strands again and hold them in a crumpled state for some time so that they are fixed in their position. You can - if there is - press them with a hair dryer. Just be careful.
We have one half of the wig ready (photographed from the side of the parting to better show how the hair should lie on it correctly).

In the same sequence, repeat the sheathing with wefts of the second half. So that the already sewn hair of one half does not interfere with the other, braid them.
Comb the finished wig, if necessary - straighten and trim the ends of the hair or make a haircut.
Here's what we ended up with:

And here are the wigs for Christina and for other dolls, made according to the same principle (the one on Chris is a completely redone native):

A wig made step by step with your own hands is useful for children's matinees or for those people who take part in theatrical performances. You can make such a wig from a variety of materials, and our master class will help with this.

We make a simple wig with our own hands in a step-by-step master class

To make a judge's wig from synthetic winterizer as in the photo above, we need:

  • Sintepon
  • Thread and needle
  • Cap
  • black bow

Before you make a wig quickly and efficiently with your own hands, you need to work on a cap. In order to be able to attach a synthetic winterizer to it, you need to cut off the visor, and if there are logos or bright inscriptions on the cap, it is better to mask them with gauze or cut them off, otherwise they will shine through the synthetic winterizer. It is best to make a judge's wig from a white cap.

When the cap is prepared, you can begin to form the wig. To do this, a square with a side of 60 cm is cut out of the synthetic winterizer. On the synthetic winterizer, markings should be made along which the wig will be cut.

Having made a markup under the forehead as in the picture above, you can cut off the extra parts from the padding polyester.

Now the resulting pattern can be attached to the cap and tacked with threads. It is better if the forehead and back of the wig match the forehead and back of the baseball cap. Here is what the future wig looks like at this stage.

To make the wig look like a judge's hairstyle, you need to make 6 rollers from synthetic winterizer and secure them with threads. To make the rollers keep their shape better, paper tubes can be inserted inside them. As in the case of a cap, the paper should be white so that a spot of a different color does not show through the synthetic winterizer.

Each sintepon roller is sewn to the wig separately. When all the details from the padding polyester are sewn, you can cut off the excess material.

The front of the judge's wig is ready. Next, you need to work on the neck area. On the back of the wig, several more padding rollers are made longer and larger than those on the face. Three or four is enough. First, the padding rollers are tied with a thread, and then decorated with a black bow. The wig is ready!

We make a bright wig from threads for a girl with our own hands

A bright thread wig for girls is useful for a school matinee or a skit. In addition, an unusual little thing cannot but please the child.

What do you need to make this wig?
  • Thick threads for knitting the desired color and length
  • Pieces of felt 25 cm long, 5 cm wide
  • Threads
  • Crest
  • Scissors

The prepared threads for knitting should be folded in half. Next, they need to be sewn with small stitches to the felt, as shown in the photo below. Small sections of threads should be sewn to the felt until they reach its edge. After that, the strip of felt must be turned over, and a comb must be sewn to the future wig from the inside.

After that, the tips of the wig can be trimmed and tried on the resulting product.

Also, bangs can be sewn to the wig, if the hairstyle requires it. You need to fold the threads in half and sew to the front of the wig. Then the desired length is formed with scissors.

Let's take a look at another simple version of a paper wig

A wig for children is made of paper very quickly. In our case, this is multi-colored corrugated paper, cut into strips. The basis on which the paper strands will be attached will be a frame made of strips of thick paper or cardboard. It is better if it is cardboard, because it is stronger and more reliable. It is also desirable that it matches the main color of the wig.

So, the manufacture of a wig begins with measurements of the circumference of the child's head. A value equal to this circle is cut off from the cardboard. The width of the strip should be approximately 4-6 cm. In the case when the length of the sheet in the cardboard set is too small, the strip will have to be glued.

When a strip equal to the circumference of the head is cut off, you need to find out the distance from ear to ear and cut off another strip with this length. You will need to glue a couple more of these strips to the base. And to make the wig reliable, you can add strips crosswise.

The result is a kind of frame on which paper hair will be attached.

Now that the frame is ready, you can do the hair. It can be strands of the same or different colors, various haircuts and hairstyles. From corrugated or ordinary colored paper, you need to cut strips of the desired length and place them in rows on the frame. Wigs look better where the hair is as thick as possible.

If you want the hair on the wig to be curly, then you can twist it with a regular pencil. To make unusual hair, light cassette film is suitable. It not only shines, but also flutters when moving, which will certainly please the child.

Glued hair can be braided, some strands can be decorated with sequins, bows or large hairpins. If the wig needs bangs, then in the forehead area you need to attach another strip to the frame, on which bangs will be attached.
