For manufacturing, I needed: 1 newspaper for 7 large sheets for making 30 tubes, PVA glue, gouache, varnish and brushes, time - about 3 hours.

1. We prepare the tubes. I spent 28 pieces on the whole tree.
2. We take 13-15 tubes and fasten them together with a thread and a strip of paper.



3. Constantly lubricating with glue, we wrap the barrel with a tube in a spiral to the desired height. If necessary, we deliver more tubes.


4. We divide the trunk into 2 unequal parts to simulate a real tree and wrap each part.



5. Next, we continue to divide each “branch” in the same way, wrapping it with additional tubes until one tube remains in the branches.


6. We cut the last branches to the required length (I have 10-15 cm) and form “curls”.


7. At first I was going to make the roots, but then I changed my mind, and washed the lower part of the tubes several times to give the stem a thickening for stability.


8. Cover with a mixture of white gouache with PVA. This step is optional, but I didn't want the newspaper text to show through, and my varnish is not very dark.
