The history of this holiday has its roots in the distant past. It first appeared in 1918 as the birthday of the Red Army and personified the victory near Narva and Pskov over the German conquerors. Since then, every year February 23 has been celebrated as Red Army Day. In 1946, it became known as the Day of the Soviet Army and Navy. In the new Russia, the day of military glory has been preserved, but under a new name - Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Congratulations to all men, defenders of the Motherland on the holiday of February 23. This is our tribute to all generations of Russian soldiers, from ancient times to the present day, who courageously defended their native land from invaders. On this very “masculine” day, male representatives, from boys to elderly men, accept congratulations and gifts, and military personnel deserve the most sincere congratulations - because they have a very important and honorable profession - to defend the Motherland.
